Car stolen in 60 seconds: Delhi gang breaks Creta window, hacks its security; CCTV captures robbery
NEW DELHI: A Hyundai Creta was stolen in New Delhi within just 60 seconds early in the morning. Yes, in under a minute, a group of people arrived in a car, hacked the vehicle's security system, and stole it.
On Instagram, a user named Rishabh Chauhan shared CCTV footage dated June 21, showing how his car—parked outside his home in Safdarjung Enclave—was stolen. He also warned others against buying the Hyundai Creta.
In the video, a car is seen approaching from another direction and parking beside Chauhan's vehicle. One person exits, breaks the driver-side window, and then leaves. A few minutes later, the same car returns and parks next to the Creta again.
This time, a different person wearing a mask steps out, hacks into the vehicle's security system, and successfully unlocks the car.
Chauhan also shared a screenshot of an email confirming that an investigation is underway by the police.
In his caption, he wrote, "Hi, my Hyundai Creta was stolen in 60 seconds on June 21, 2025. As seen in this video from my CCTV, the Creta is no longer safe when parked outside. Its security system appears to have been hacked or leaked and can be bypassed in under a minute.
Anyone considering buying a Creta—beware, it can be stolen at any time. @hyundaiindia, the Hyundai team really needs to upgrade their safety software. The car has still not been found by @delhi.police_official.

Labour contractor killed in hit-and-run near Vaishnodevi Circle
Ahmedabad: A 58-year-old labour contractor, Baldev Chauhan, was killed in a hit-and-run on SG Road near Vaishnodevi Circle on Wednesday afternoon. Police said Chauhan, a resident of Chanakyapuri, was riding his motorcycle from Gandhinagar to Ahmedabad when a speeding car rammed into him. The driver did not stop and fled the scene. Chauhan sustained severe injuries and was taken to Sola Civil Hospital, where he was declared dead. His son, Dinesh Chauhan, filed a complaint with the Adalaj police. Sari trader pursuing acting dream duped out of 1.71cr
Surat: A starry-eyed sari trader from the city who thought he was pursuing his dream of becoming an actor was allegedly duped out of Rs 1.71 crore by four persons from Delhi, who convinced him to send them large sums of money to secure high-profile acting work for him — in a web series, a TV serial and a music video. The victim had first contacted the accused on seeing an advertisement for portfolio photography on Instagram. Over two years, they got him to send them money on various pretexts and even called the victim to Delhi and Mumbai for shoots to fortify the deception. Nearly three years after his first contact with them, when they did not get him any acting work and he had paid them an eye-watering Rs 1.71 crore, he filed a complaint for cheating with Althan police. Rahul Rathod, 32, owns a sari trading firm in Surat. In Oct 2022, he saw an advertisement on Instagram for the Delhi-based 'Dream Maker Studio', offering portfolio shooting. He provided his details and got a call from one Alka Thakur two days later, offering to shoot his portfolio and calling him to Delhi for the shoot. The FIR states that days later Alka called Rathod again and told him they were launching a web series for which he had been selected. Roy told Rathod he should not tell the Colors channel officials that he was married. Days later, Roy called Rathod saying the channel officials had discovered Rathod was married and had fined Alka Rs 3 crore. Alka told Rathod that she would pay Rs 2.5 crore, but Rathod had to pay her the remaining Rs 50 lakh. Rathod sent the money in two transactions through the Surat angadia firm S Babulal. The accused promised the victim various roles beside actors and influencers such as Dipak Joshi, Akruti Agrawal and Sumbul Tokir, among others. Over two years, they took Rs 1.71 crore from Rathod.
