(Video) Is Wanna One Reunion Possible? Here's What Ha Sung Woon Said About A Group Comeback
Wanna One (워너원) remains one of the biggest boy groups in K-pop despite disbanding in 2019, following the end of their contract. After a brief reunion in 2021, fans continued hoping that the group would reunite once again and return to the stage. Recently, singer and Wanna One member Ha Sung Woon (하성운) appeared on the YouTube series 'Kstars Next Door' with INFINITE (인피니트) member Nam Woo Hyun (남우현). During the show, Wanna One came into the subject, prompting host Jonathan to ask Ha Sung Woon about a potential group comeback. The social media personality asked, 'Since we're on the topic of Wanna One, when can we expect a Wanna One reunion? Can we get an update on this?'. In response to the question, Ha Sung Woon replied, 'Do you want me to be honest? On a scale of ten steps, I don't think we've even taken a step towards a reunion.' The 31-year-old explained, 'The reason is that someone enlists in the military whenever we try to do something. When one person is discharged, another person enlists. And we also have members acting so they don't focus on this.' Ha Sung Woon also noted that each member of Wanna One is busy with their activities, so there are no set plans for a group comeback. Understandably, the singer's comment received mixed responses. Some fans lamented that the idol used his former groupmates' acting careers to dismiss the possibility of a group comeback. However, others defended the comment, saying it's a realistic answer without giving fans false hope of a reunion. After their group contract expired, the members of Wanna One pursued individual activities, including solo careers in singing and acting. However, members Ong Seong Wu (옹성우) and Park Ji Hoon (박지훈) focused on acting, with the latter recently starring in Netflix's 'Weak Hero'. Meanwhile, member Lai Kuan Lin (賴冠霖/라이관린) announced his retirement from the entertainment industry last year to focus on film directing. While it doesn't seem that a Wanna One comeback is possible, fans are still holding on to a sliver of hope that it could happen in the future. In the meantime, watch the group's last group performance from the 2021 MAMA Awards and Ha Sung Woon's appearance on 'Neighbourhood Star K' below: Sources: Koreaboo (1)(2)

Park Bo-gum, Blackpink's Jennie named South Korea's tourism ambassadors for 2025
Actor Park Bo-gum (left) was named the honorary ambassador for 2025 Korea Tourism, while singer Jennie was tapped as the honorary ambassador to promote tourism in Seoul. Photos: Handout South Korean actor Park Bo-gum has been officially named the honorary ambassador for 2025 Korea Tourism at a ceremony in Seoul on July 29. Park, 32, who recently starred in the hit K-drama When Life Gives You Tangerines (2025), appears in three separate tourism videos, including a music video for On My Way . Performed by the actor himself, the original song is the result of a collaboration between the Korea Tourism Organisation (KTO), South Korea's Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the K-pop industry. Park said at the event that one of his favourite places is the area surrounding Gwanghwamun and Gyeongbokgung. 'But I hope you'll also explore regions outside of Seoul. I'd especially recommend Busan, where I recently filmed (TV series) Good Boy ,' he added. He also recommended Seoul's public bike-sharing service, Seoul Bike, officially known as Ddareungi. 'I love riding a Ddareungi along the Han River,' the star said. 'If you haven't tried it yet, I'd really like to introduce you to it.' First launched in 2015, South Korea's tourism promotional videos, featuring celebrities such as boy band BTS, actor Lee Jung-jae and girl group NewJeans, have drawn increasing global attention, particularly following the breakout success of the Feel The Rhythm Of Korea series in 2020. It has since become a cultural phenomenon, with its videos collectively amassing more than 240 million views across multiple platforms. Meanwhile, Jennie of K-pop girl group Blackpink will lend her star power to Seoul, the Seoul Tourism Organisation announced on July 29. The South Korean singer was tapped as the honorary ambassador to promote tourism in the capital city in 2025, and a campaign video featuring the 29-year-old will be unveiled on July 31. Under the catchphrase 'Absolutely in Seoul', the first promotional video – Daltokki – will follow Jennie as she explores spots in Seoul, from Gyeongbokgung to Seongsu-dong. The second video will incorporate her song Seoul City (2025), from her first solo full-length album Ruby , released in March. In 2024, South Korea welcomed approximately 16.37 million overseas visitors, a 48.4% increase from the previous year and reaching 94% of the pre‑Covid‑19 peak of around 17.5 million in 2019, according to the KTO. The country aims to attract 18.5 million overseas visitors in 2025. – The Korea Herald/Asia News Network

From Silly Hats To Bicep Touching: Things That Went Viral During SEVENTEEN's Recent Fansign
Fansigns are essentially another form of meet-and-greet event, where fans have the chance to see and interact with their favourite idols up close. These events often lead to many memorable moments and sometimes viral content. K-pop boy group SEVENTEEN (세븐틴) recently held a fansign event in Shanghai, where fans had the opportunity not only to receive autographs from the members, but also to present them with quirky items to try on and pose with. Here are some of the highlights that went viral: Vernon in silly hats & costumes It's not unusual for fans to gift their idols with quirky and adorable headpieces to wear during such events. However, for some reason, many seemed to have the same idea when it came to gifting Vernon (버논) with hats. The idol was seen wearing a variety of items, including a Statue of Liberty headpiece, a rooster hat, a monocle, Hello Kitty ears and fox ears. He was even spotted trying on costumes such as an apron and a bulletproof vest. Fans were amused by his reactions and how he looked in these quirky outfits, with photos of him quickly going viral on social media. Some even began to wonder whether a single individual was behind all the amusing costume gifts. Fanboy touching Mingyu's muscles When it comes to male idol groups, the majority of fans are understandably female, but there's also a notable number of male fans. One such fan made all the girls jealous when he met Mingyu (민규) in person. During a fansign event, he asked if he could touch the idol's biceps, and Mingyu happily obliged. Many took to Twitter to express their envy, wishing they had either the same opportunity or the courage to ask, like the fanboy did. Of course, there were a few more memorable moments during the fansign, but these two garnered the most attention on social media. Which was your favourite part of the recent fansign?
