The Repair Shop siblings Steve and Suzie Fletcher's ages as they open up on bond
Steve and Suzie Fletcher, the sibling duo from The Repair Shop, are set to appear on Love Your Weekend with Alan Titchmarsh. Fans of the hit BBC One series are eager to learn more about the pair, including their age difference.
Steve Fletcher, known for his expertise in clocks and watches, was the first of the two siblings to join The Repair Shop and has since become a regular fixture on the show. Born in Oxfordshire, the 63 year old professional horologist is a father of five and shares his life with his partner, Mel.
His younger sister, Suzie, an expert in leather repair who has opened up about behind the scenes, joined the show later. Inspired by her brother's enjoyment of the series, she decided to come on board, initially joking about being the 'leather girl'.
However, after several phone calls, she officially became part of the team. As of August 2024, she was 62 years old.
Suzie has since described her decision to join the show as one of the best she's ever made, particularly following the loss of her husband in the US. Despite their close ages, the siblings have carved out their own unique niches within the popular series.
Meanwhile, her brother Steve and his partner Mel have been an item for years, residing in Whitney. Steve has kept the family legacy alive by running The Clock Workshop, a business established by his grandfather.
It was actually Mel who nudged him to become part of the expert team on The Repair Shop.
Suzie herself operates her own workshop in Oxfordshire and holds the title of Master English Saddle Maker.
Her passion for horses dates back to her childhood, and she embarked on her journey to become a saddle maker back in 1975.
After spending 22 years across the pond in the US, Suzie made her way back to British soil.
In a candid chat with The Times, Suzie reminisced about her strong bond with her brother during their younger years. She revealed: "Steve and I definitely shared a lot of strong similarities, and he was the one that took me under his wing.
"He's been my rock all my life. Every step. I really didn't think I was confident enough to be on The Repair Shop, but I had the saving grace of Steve being there."

Iconic TV channel axe all UK production after almost three decades as it becomes latest casualty of streaming
END OF AN ERA Iconic TV channel axe all UK production after almost three decades as it becomes latest casualty of streaming I USED to love going to my best mate's house to watch MTV when I was a kid in the Nineties because my parents were too tight to pay for extra TV channels. But youngsters now won't be able to do the same, as I'm told MTV UK is the latest casualty of social media and streaming. 4 MTV UK is the latest casualty of social media and streaming Credit: Alamy 4 Stars including Emma Willis got their big breaks in telly thanks to the station Credit: Alamy 4 Cat Deeley presenting on the beloved channel 4 Kelly Brook appearing on MTV UK Credit: Supplied My insiders said the station has been axed in all but name after bosses quietly closed the UK production arm of the channel. MTV spin doctors insist the station 'will still have a presence', but concede they will no longer be making original music content. Instead, generic US shows will be aired alongside the usual rolling music videos. Notable cancellations include original series Gonzo and Fresh Out UK. As well as being a huge blow to British music, it's also a major loss to up-and-coming presenting talent. Stars including Kelly Brook, Emma Willis and Cat Deeley all got their big breaks in telly thanks to the station. READ MORE ON MTV NO SHOW MTV AXE two huge Geordie Shore spin-offs - leaving cast fuming Greg James and Joel Dommett also hosted on the channel earlier in their careers. My source said: 'Everyone at MTV is gutted. To say there has been a bloodbath of cuts would be an understatement. 'Staff have been left in tears as some have been there for decades. "Those that are left fear more doom and gloom could be around the corner.' It comes after the EMAs — the European answer to the famous VMAs — was axed for this year in another cost- saving measure. A spokesman said: 'MTV UK is sunsetting local series Gonzo and Fresh Out UK, beginning this month. 'We are deeply grateful to our hosts Jack Saunders and Becca Dudley, the talented artists who have been a part of these series, as well as the teams who brought them to life. Watch emotional moment Ozzy Osbourne speak about amazing life with Sharon in resurfaced moment from The Osbournes as rocker tragically dies 'Fans can continue to enjoy global music shows like the MTV VMAs, STANS and Ozzy Osbourne: No Escape From Now on MTV and Paramount+, alongside digital music content on our MTV UK social channels.' I know nothing can ever stay the way it was . . . but this just makes me want to go back to the Nineties.

Spider-Man in Glasgow as Tom Holland waves to delighted crowds during filming
Parts of the city centre have been transformed into a New York scene as crews shoot the the blockbuster Marvel film. Tom Holland has been spotted waving to delighted crowds in Glasgow as filming for the new Spider Man movie continues. Parts of the city centre have been transformed into a New York scene as crews shoot for the blockbuster Marvel film. NYPD cars have replaced Police Scotland vehicles and New York style yellow cabs have been seen lining the streets as filming continues. And in footage, which was shared with Glasgow Live, the English actor delighted onlookers as he took a break to give them a wee wave, triggering a few cheers. In other clips Holland can be seen perched on top of a military vehicle on Bothwell Street with a NYPD car in hot pursuit. He can also be spotted making a dramatic pose on top of the vehicle, without the famous Spider-Man mask on. The Spider-Man Brand New Day film, which will be released in cinemas next summer, follows Peter Parker as he tries to focus on his university studies and leave his Spider-Man alter ego behind. However, when dark forces begin to threaten New York, Peter must suit-up again to protect his friends and neighbours. It's not the first time Glasgow has been transformed for the big screen. Earlier this year, parts of the city centre were closed off for filming of the Sci-Fi movie Ghostwriter. Not much is known about the blockbuster, but cinema legend Samuel L. Jackson is tapped to play a key role in the new J.J. Abrams film, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
