‘It's everything you want': Dave Franco teases Now You See Me: Now You Don't
The 39-year-old actor is set to reprise his role as street magician Jack Wilder in the upcoming threequel, and has now teased 'Now You See Me: Now You Don't' will delight fans - with Rosamund Pike's new villain being a particular stand-out.
Speaking to Collider, Franco said: "We got some new fun characters - we got an incredible villain with Rosamund Pike, who's just an absolute pro. It's everything you want."
As well as Pike, 'Now You See Me: Now You Don't' will introduce the next generation of magicians as portrayed by Ariana Greenblatt, Justice Smith, and Dominic Sessa.
Meanwhile, Franco will be reteaming with his fellow 'Now You See Me' co-stars Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, Mark Ruffalo and Morgan Freeman.
Reflecting on reuniting with 'The Four Horsemen' - as portrayed by himself, Harrelson, Eisenberg and Fisher - Franco pointed to the "natural camaraderie" they share, which he believes "bleeds through onto the screen".
He said: "I've known this cast for nearly 15 years now, and we all genuinely love each other. There's no set that I laugh on more.
"I just adore these people, and I think the natural camaraderie that we have kind of bleeds through onto the screen, and people can feel how much fun we're having."
'Now You See Me: Now You Don't' - which is being directed by Ruben Fleischer - will see the return of 'The Four Horsemen', though they appear to be disbanded as a group in the early moments of the movie.
Eisenberg's J. Daniel Atlas tells a new generation of illusionists his former team is "dead" in a trailer for the new flick, which is slated for release in November.
He clarifies: "To me. Things got too real for them. They gave up stuff."
The story of 'Now You See Me: Now You Don't' revolves around a diamond heist, involving both the original Horsemen and newcomers played by Greenblatt, Smith and Sessa, as they work together against a criminal organisation.
Greenblatt's character declares in the trailer: "I like our odds."
The title for 'Now You See Me: Now You Don't' was unveiled last month at CinemaCon, where Lionsgate Motion Picture Group chair Adam Fogelson revealed Fleischer would also return for a fourth movie.
Fogelson said: "We were so happy with the director's cut, we're already developing the next chapter.
"We can't wait for audiences to discover what he's done with the third film and thrilled he'll be making even more magic with us."
Fleischer added: "Directing 'Now You See Me: Now You Don't' was as much fun as making any movie in my career.
"It combines two of my favorite things - heist movies and magic - and working with this incredible cast was truly magical. Of course I want to keep it going."

Dave Franco confesses to getting intimate at Disneyland
Dave Franco once had sex at Disneyland. The 40-year-old actor - who is married to actress Alison Brie - has revealed that he once made love on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disneyland. Appearing on the Call Her Daddy podcast, Dave shared: "Something may have happened at one point on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. "The f***** up part about that is, I think there's cameras on every inch of that place, but we were pretty covert. We'll leave it at that..." Dave stars alongside his wife in Together, the new supernatural body horror film, but he actually prefers to keep his personal life out of the spotlight. The Hollywood star shared: "I generally am [a private person], which makes doing promo for any movie a little strange because it's not me in my element. "But at the same time, I've also gotten much better at this where I recognise this is a big part of my job and I'm just going to lean in and I'm going to do my best and I'm going to be as vulnerable as I can be." Meanwhile, Alison - who has worked with Dave on movies like 2023's Somebody I Used to Know - recently revealed that the couple's 'shorthand has gotten shorter and shorter' in their professional relationship. The actress and Dave love working together, but they're still "very selective" about the projects they commit to. Alison told Collider: 'I think, to do this project, we have acted in some things together, and by this point, Dave has directed me in a couple of movies, we wrote a film together. "Our shorthand has gotten shorter and shorter to where it's like a mind-meld, eye-contact thing. "We've been together over a decade, so has this couple in the movie. We're very selective about projects that we will act in together. "We read scripts quite often, where we would act together, and it's all about which one makes the most sense, and this one did."

Taron Egerton: Social media is not good for my mental health
Taron Egerton thinks social media is bad for his mental health. The 35-year-old actor recently returned to Instagram to promote his new movie, She Rides Shotgun, but Taron admits he quickly regretted his decision. He said on the Today show: "I got back on to promote this movie. This movie is a bit of a little engine. It's harder to spread the word of a movie of this size." Asked how he feels about returning to social media, Taron replied: "I feel worse." The actor acknowledged that social media trolls can have a detrimental impact on his mental health. He said: "I genuinely don't think it's good for your mental health. I will be hopping back off once the film is out." Taron suggested that the negative elements of social media far outweigh the positives. The Hollywood star explained: "I think I'm better off without it." Meanwhile, Taron has played down talk that he could replace Daniel Craig as James Bond, insisting he's too "messy" for the role. The movie star believes there are "so many cool, younger actors" who would be better suited to the coveted role. Asked about the possibility of playing Bond, he told Collider: "I don't think I'm a good choice for it. I think I'm too messy for that. "I think I'm not— I really love James Bond and particularly Daniel Craig's tenure. But I think I wouldn't be good at it, and I think there's so many cool, younger actors who would be great for it. I think it would be wasted on me, probably." Taron also observed that leading the Bond franchise is "quite an undertaking". He said: "That's not to say that I don't have aspirations and plans and also that I wouldn't be interested in doing something that's more commercial, because of course I would. I think I'm a period in my life where, as you say, I've been probably following the things that speak to me on a creative level a little bit more, but, you know, I'm sure I won't feel that way forever. "But James Bond is quite an undertaking and I think, one, as far as I'm aware, nobody's asking me to do it."

‘Definitely more magic': Now You See Me star Dave Franco teases the franchise's future
Dave Franco hopes to 'make many more' Now You See Me movies. The 40-year-old actor is set to reprise his role as street magician Jack Wilder in the upcoming threequel Now You See Me: Now You Don't, and with a fourth film also on the way, Franco has shared he hopes the series will continue after the next flick. Speaking with Screen Rant, he said: 'Now You See Me 3, coming out in November -- the gang is back, definitely more magic. 'I'm learning new ways to throw cards. I have the greatest time with that cast. I think our natural love for each other bleeds onto the screen, and I hope to make many more with them.' As well as Franco, Now You See Me: Now You Don't - which hits screens on November 14, 2025 - will see the return of his other Four Horsemen co-stars: J. Daniel Atlas (Jesse Eisenberg), Merritt McKinney (Woody Harrelson) and Henley Reeves (Isla Fisher). Now You See Me: Now You Don't will also see Mark Ruffalo and Morgan Freeman reprise their roles as Dylan Rhodes and Thaddeus Bradley, respectively, while newcomers Ariana Greenblatt, Justice Smith, and Dominic Sessa join the cast as the next generation of magicians. Previously, Franco teased Now You See Me: Now You Don't would be 'everything you want', and said Rosamund Pike's villain was a particular standout. He told Collider: 'We got some new fun characters - we got an incredible villain with Rosamund Pike, who's just an absolute pro. It's everything you want.' Reflecting on his Four Horsemen co-stars - who he has appeared alongside since the first Now You See Me in 2013 - Franco said the 'natural camaraderie' they share 'bleeds through onto the screen'. The Together actor said: 'I've known this cast for nearly 15 years now, and we all genuinely love each other. There's no set that I laugh on more. 'I just adore these people, and I think the natural camaraderie that we have kind of bleeds through onto the screen, and people can feel how much fun we're having.' In Now You See Me: Now You Don't – directed by Ruben Fleischer – The Four Horsemen appear to have gone their separate ways at the start of the film. In the first trailer, Eisenberg's J. Daniel Atlas tells a new generation of illusionists that his former team is 'dead.' He then clarifies: 'To me. Things got too real for them. They gave up stuff.' The plot centres on a daring diamond heist that unites both the original Horsemen and new characters, played by Greenblatt, Smith, and Sessa, as they face off against a powerful criminal organisation. The movie's title, Now You See Me: Now You Don't, was revealed during CinemaCon in April, where Lionsgate Motion Picture Group chair Adam Fogelson also announced that Fleischer is set to return for a fourth instalment in the franchise. Fogelson said: 'We were so happy with the director's cut, we're already developing the next chapter. 'We can't wait for audiences to discover what he's done with the third film and thrilled he'll be making even more magic with us.'
