Cain demands conflicted Dingle choose a side as war is waged in Emmerdale
A war is brewing in Emmerdale and it's Dingles vs Tates as they battle over Moira Dingle's (Natalie J Robb) farmland. Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) is more determined than ever to get the land for Kim Tate (Claire King).
Joe has a vested interest in getting Kim as much money as possible following the ordeal with Doctor Crowley. The struck off doc, who violently threatened Joe into paying him £100k, turned up as Kim Tate's new boyfriend Eddie and made it clear to Joe he's only in it for Kim's cash.
After betraying her, Joe is now working hard to prove to Kim that he can be trusted.
He confesses to Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) that he has a plan to get the land while Moira tries to hang onto it by the fingernails. Desperate to maintain her livelihood, she tempts fate by telling her sons their home is safe.
But Kyle knows better and heads off to protect his family's home. As he surveys the property, he is confronted by two masked teenagers who he disturbs in a barn. Acting on instinct, Kyle grabs a pitchfork and stabs one in the leg. The teens scarper when Moira appears and scares them off.
Cain (Jeff Hordley) immediately blames Joe, but he denies any knowledge. Moira takes it to the police, but Swirling says there's not much that can be done.
The battle lines are drawn, and Joe retaliates with his own call to the police, resulting in Moira's arrest. She's quickly told things do not look good. More Trending

New EastEnders star is a nepo baby as famous family members who have also starred in BBC soap are revealed
Max Murray has landed a role in EastEnders alongside legendary stars but it has now been revealed he comes from a long-line of actors and singers in his family. The youngster has been portraying character Joel Marshall since February this year but it turns out he is actually following in his famous mum's footsteps. Max is the son of actress Gina Murray, who has starred in a number of well known programmes including The Bill, Doctors and The Hunt for Raoul Moat and appeared in the BBC soap back in 2014 playing Helen. Gina's character Helen arrived in Albert Square as a hair specialist to help Carol Jackson, who was struggling with losing her hair as she fought off cancer. It was Helen's role to help Carol find a wig. Max is also the nephew of Mazz Murray, who is a successful TV and theatre actress, starring in Sunset Boulevard, Mamma Mia and Chicago to name but a few. In 2004, Mazz also starred on EastEnders as a waitress called Miranda who had a brawl with Heather Trott and Shirley Carter. The youngster has been portraying character Joel Marshall since February this year but turns out he is actually following in his famous mum's footsteps In 2017, Mazz returned to Walford but this time was playing a character called Julie, who was a divorced woman who hired Keanu Taylor as a male escort for a night of fun and frolics. Max's character Joel is the step-son of Vicky Fowler, who returned to the square for the funeral of her uncle Martin Fowler. Her new boyfriend Ross is played by Alex Walkinshaw. At the time when Max's role was announced, he told the Mirror: 'It's an absolute privilege and honour to be joining such a wonderful production full of a lovely cast and crew. 'I'm really looking forward to introducing Joel to EastEnders viewers and telling his story.' It comes as EastEnders favourite Nicholas Bailey will make a shock return as Dr. Anthony Trueman to the soap, more than a decade since he was last seen in Walford. The character – son of Patrick Trueman (played by Rudolph Walker) – will be back on screens in scenes to air in the summer. Anthony first arrived on the Square in 2000 and quickly made waves, thanks in part to a steamy romance with Kat Slater (played by Jessie Wallace). Now, 11 years on from his last stint, the GP is set for a dramatic reunion with his dad this summer as Patrick and Yolande prepare to tie the knot. Anthony last appeared in EastEnders in 2014 when he rushed to his father's side when Patrick suffered a stroke. Since then, he has led a life away from Walford but in upcoming scenes viewers will see he is invited to his father's impending nuptials and decides to return for the occasion. In a post on the official Eastenders Instagram account, the long running soap teased the visit to Walford comes at a significant moment for Patrick, which means Anthony stays longer than he originally intended. In a statement, executive producer Ben Wadey said: 'It's great to welcome Nicholas back to the EastEnders family to reunite Patrick with his son. 'But Anthony's plan for a brief return to surprise his father ends up with him staying longer than he expected when he uncovers what has been going on in the Trueman household.' Nicholas who will reprise the iconic role added: 'It is an unexpected treat to return to EastEnders and I'm full of gratitude to get the opportunity to revisit the character of Anthony. 'It's wonderful to work with Rudolph Walker again - he's such a big part of my journey as an actor and I loved filming my first scenes with him after so long.

Glasgow brewery bar set to host new festival that will bring country music to Scotland
Country Fest will take place on August 16 and 17 with live music, dancing and themed fun for country fans. One of Glasgow's best-known brewery bars is getting ready to turn the east end into the Wild West, as Drygate Brewing Co. prepares to launch a brand new country music festival this summer. Country Fest will take place on the weekend of August 16 and 17, transforming the city centre venue into a haven for country fans, complete with live music, line dancing and themed entertainment. Organisers are promising two days packed with energy and fun, with a line-up of 12 live acts and a mix of entertainment that includes a bucking bronco, southern-style food, and group dancing led by line-dancing favourite Maggie, who has been dubbed the 'queen of the rodeo', Glasgow Live reports. Among the confirmed performers is alt-pop and country crossover artist Roisin McCarney, who will headline the event. She'll be joined by a variety of emerging and established acts set to bring a blend of classic country, folk and Americana to Glasgow. Drygate's team said: 'Whether you're a die-hard country fan or just love a great live show, this is a festival not to be missed. Dust off those boots, grab your hat, and join us for a day of non-stop music, dancing, and good ol' country fun.' Festivalgoers are being encouraged to embrace the dress code, with cowboy boots, hats and western-themed outfits all welcome. The venue will be decorated to match the mood, giving fans a taste of Nashville in the heart of Scotland's biggest city. The event is being organised by Drygate's general manager Jamie McCann, who said the team are excited to unveil something a little different this summer. 'We've been counting down the days, this event is going to be something special,' Jamie said. 'Our team is ready, and we can't wait to share the energy with everyone who walks through the door. It's going to be something you don't wanna miss.' Drygate Brewing Co., located near Glasgow Cathedral and the Tennent's Wellpark Brewery, has long been a fixture of the city's craft beer and live entertainment scene. Last year we were captivated by Longlegs' terrifying marketing campaign, marvelled at the power of indie horror with Late Night With The Devil, and simply shocked by The Substance sweeping awards ceremonies. Immaculate, Strange Darling, I Saw The TV Glow, and In A Violent Nature all graced top films of the year lists across the world – and that's just a handful of genre titles that made an impact. It's a tough act to follow, but this year, we have already witnessed some of the best horror has to offer, with chilling reboots, long-awaited sequels, and original titles that have had us in a chokehold. And we're only halfway through 2025 – there are still tonnes of chilling releases left to sink our teeth into. As an avid fan of horror – from gateway flicks to extreme gems – it's been one of the most exciting years of cinema in a while, but it can also become a daunting task trying to wade through the recommendations. W. Murnau's iconic vampire flick. Starring Nicholas Hoult, Bill Skarsgard, Lily-Rose Depp, and Willem Dafoe, Robert Eggers' film follows estate agent Thomas Hutter (Hoult) as he travels to Transylvania to facilitate the sale of a home in his small German village. He meets with the prospective client, Count Orlok (Skarsgard), but is soon plagued by nightmarish visions and encounters an evil force far beyond his comprehension – and it's coming for his wife, Ellen (Depp). The feature debut from Emilie Blichfeldt is as thought-provoking as it is stomach-churning, offering a visceral exploration of female beauty standards via a warped retelling of Cinderella. Elvira (Lea Myren) is obsessed with winning the heart of Prince Julian (Isac Calmroth) and will stop at nothing to do so, even if it means subjecting herself to painful cosmetic procedures closer to medieval torture methods. When it appears that her beautiful stepsister Agnes (Thea Sofie Loch Naess) is about to receive what she believes is fated to her, Elvira resorts to drastic – and gruesome – methods to make sure that doesn't happen. Blichfeldt strikes a unique balance of pitch black comedy while remaining sympathetic towards her characters, but have your bucket at the ready, some seriously gross-out scenes in The Ugly Stepsister make The Substance look like a children's film. Sinners stars Michael B Jordan in the twin roles of Smoke and Stack, offering a performance so captivating it's easy to forget it is one actor playing both characters. The action-packed, blood-soaked flick follows the duo as they set up their own blues bar in their hometown of Clarksdale, Mississippi, enlisting loved ones far and wide to help get the 'juke joint' up and running the very day they arrive back in town. Offering food, drinks, and live music, the party is well and truly popping just a short while after opening, but the night soon devolves into chaos when a group of strangers turns up and attempts to gain entry. Effortlessly stylish, action-packed, and surprisingly sexy, Sinners is an experience from start to finish that will have you laughing, crying, and dancing along to the impeccable soundtrack. Yuta Shimotsu's feature debut Best Wishes To All is one such title, a thoroughly unsettling, atmospheric film reminiscent of the J-horror era. It follows an unnamed nursing student (Kotone Furukawa) who visits her grandparents (Masashi Arifuku and Yoshiko Inuyama) in their rural Japanese town. She appears distressed to learn that her parents' arrival at the home is delayed, leaving her alone with her elderly relatives. As the visit winds on, the young woman uncovers dark secrets that seem to point to a mysterious presence lurking in the house. Packed full of surreal and deeply disturbing imagery, Best Wishes To All is a remarkable directorial effort from Shimotsu that cements his name as one to be watched. It explores what we are willing to ignore in a bid to live a carefree life, and there are few things more terrifying and relatable than that. Strangely, a release we had this year asked exactly this. Directed by The Loved Ones and The Devil's Candy creator Sean Byrne, Dangerous Animals introduces genre fans to charismatic villain Tucker (Jai Courtney), a serial killer who uses sharks as his weapon of choice. His latest potential victim is Zephyr (Hassie Harrison), who Tucker kidnaps and imprisons on his boat – but she won't go down without a fight. Byrne maintains tension throughout by making the most of the film's limited location, with much of the cat-and-mouse action taking place on Tucker's boat. It's hard not to be intrigued by his charismatic yet deadly persona, and the strong characterisations that invest the audience in their journey are crucial to help this outlandish concept land. What's more, there are buckets of blood and violence aplenty that help Dangerous Animals sit among its sharksploitation and ozsploitation peers comfortably. Spike (Alfie Williams) and his father Jamie (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) venture off the island so the teenager can experience his first kill and learn more about how the world outside of their commune works. When Spike discovers something on the mainland that turns his world upside down, he ventures there with his sickly mother, Isla (Jodie Comer), in a bid to find a miracle cure for her mystery ailment. 28 Years Later boasts grisly kills, balls-to-the-wall action sequences, hair-raising chase sequences, and surprisingly heartfelt moments that will have audiences in tears. It is a British horror film through and through, encapsulating everything from the Covid pandemic to nostalgia culture in a way that is sure to be looked back on for generations to come to examine the landscape in which it was released. What's more, it offers a strangely hopeful twist to the standard zombie narrative that so often focuses on the evils of humanity, instead shining a light on the goodness of our being, which continues to shine in hardship. After making a name for themselves in genre cinema with the release of Talk To Me in 2023, Bring Her Back cements their status as the most exciting directors in modern horror. Bring Her Back follows siblings Andy (Billy Barratt) and Piper (Sora Wong), who are set to be separated in the foster care system following the death of their father. Andy, desperate to care for his sister, begs for them to be kept together, and they go to live with foster mother Laura (Sally Hawkins) and her adopted son Oliver (Jonah Wren Phillips) in their remote home. But when Laura's behaviour towards Andy becomes increasingly hostile, he uncovers a terrifying ritual Laura is attempting to recreate. More Trending Like Talk To Me before it, Bring Her Back is a heartbreaking examination of grief from the perspective of teenagers as well as a mother. Every member of the cast delivers career-defining performances, particularly Paddington star Hawkins, whose devastation in the face of her daughter Cathy's death leads her to extreme lengths. It is both sympathetic to its subject matter without scrimping on the scares, featuring some of the most disturbing scenes cinema in 2025 has to offer. Where to watch: In cinemas from July 26 .
