Portuguese soccer international Cristiano Ronaldo popped the question to his long-term partner Georgina Rodriguez with a giant engagement ring thought to cost anywhere between €1 million and €4 million.
The winger announced his engagement on Monday, with the giant rock an instant talking point in the world of social media around the world.
With no details released about the actual cost of the ring as of yet, a number of jewellers and diamond experts have estimated what the massive rock could be worth. Kelly met the Prince at a photo session while she was at the Cannes Film Festival with a romance blossoming and a marriage proposal ensuing just seven months later.
The ring was a jaw-dropping 10.48 carat emerald-cut diamond which was set in platinum and surrounded by two baguette stones.
At the time, the ring was priced at $4.06m (€3.48m) but is now worth $38.8m (€33.24). The ring, along with another engagement ring from Prince Rainier III are in the care of the House of Grimaldi, the reigning family of the Principality of Monaco.
