Halle Berry fires back at David Justice over marriage comments: ‘Cooking, cleaning and mothering'
Halle Berry heard the comments made by her ex-husband, David Justice, on the demise of their marriage, saying he left her in 1996 because 'she don't cook, don't clean, don't really seem motherly.' The Academy Award-winning actress seemingly trolled the retired MLB player in a post on Instagram Thursday, which included a carousel of snapshots showing her laughing and vacationing with her boyfriend, Van Hunt. 'Phew…! cooking, cleaning and mothering,' wrote Berry, who turned 59 on Thursday. 'There really wasn't a lot of negative attention until I decided to leave her in 1996,' the ex-Yankees star said. '… She asked me to marry her after knowing me for five months. I said, 'OK' because I couldn't say no … but I don't know if my heart was really into it. '… My knowledge and wisdom around relationships wasn't vast. So I'm looking at my mom, and I'm a midwest guy, so in my mind I'm thinking, a wife at that time should cook, clean — and then I'm thinking, 'OK if we have kids, is this the woman I want to have kids with or a family with. 'New Heights' Likely Gearing Up for Big Pay Day After Taylor Swift Podcast
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Brothers Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce may be in for a big pay day following their New Heights podcast interview with Taylor Swift. Newsweek reached out to New Heights' YouTube channel via email for comment on Friday. Why It Matters On Tuesday, Swift, 35—who has been dating Travis since 2023—announced her new album, The Life of a Showgirl, in a teaser video for Wednesday's New Heights episode. The pop star, whose net worth is approximately $1.6 billion, per Forbes, dropped the news after months of album speculation. It also came on the heels of her wildly popular Eras Tour, which broke 18 records during its 21-month run. What To Know Swift's New Heights episode on YouTube currently has over 15 million views. While it's unclear exactly how much the Kelce siblings will earn from the two-hour interview, Business Insider previously reported that YouTube videos with 1 million plus views could earn creators thousands. In their article titled: "How Much Money YouTube Pays for 1 Million Views, According to 3 Creators," YouTubers Semide ASMR, Jade Darmawangsa and Shelby Church shared their earnings. "Semide has two videos with over 1 million views on YouTube and a few others just below that mark. Typically, these videos will earn between $2,500 to $4,000 in ad revenue, she said in December 2020," Business Insiderreported. "One of Semide's most popular videos had about 1.1 million views and had earned about $3,470, according to a screenshot of her dashboard viewed by Insider." In Darmawangsa's case, "Her video titled 'How to grow on Instagram' had earned about $3,600, from 1.2 million views, when Insider viewed a screenshot of her dashboard in May 2020." As for Church, "a YouTuber who had about 1.6 million subscribers when she spoke with Insider in 2020, videos with about 1 million views had earned her between $2,000 and $30,000 depending on the video subject, she told Insider in January 2020." Last year, the Kelces reportedly signed a $100 million podcast deal with Wondery, Amazon's podcast streamer. Jason Kelce, who played for the Philadelphia Eagles for 13 seasons, announced his retirement in March. In addition to podcasting, the 37-year-old is also an analyst on ESPN's Monday Night Countdown and hosts the network's late-night talk show called They Call It Late Night with Jason Kelce. Travis Kelce is a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs and was named one of the highest-paid NFL players in 2024 by Forbes. According to the outlet, football generates approximately $17.1 million for him, while his off-field income is estimated at $35 million. "The largest chunk of Kelce's money will come from the New Heights podcast he co-hosts with his brother," Forbes reported. The 35-year-old is also the host of Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity? and has dabbled in acting, most recently starring in Happy Gilmore 2. Penélope Cruz, Javier Bardem light up the stage with Bad Bunny in Puerto Rico
Fifteen years in, Penélope Cruz and Javier Bardem are keeping things fresh. The Oscar-winning couple shared a fun moment this week as they joined Bad Bunny on stage during the rapper and singer's concert residency in Puerto Rico. "Gracias Benitoooooooo💕Impresionante!!" Cruz, 51, wrote on Instagram Tuesday, Aug. 12, translating to, "Thank you Benito, impressive!" In the Instagram video, Cruz wears a black lacy top as she captures herself singing and dancing with Bardem, 56, close behind before she pans to Bad Bunny sitting and rapping on stage. She then pans back to a surprised Bardem wearing a black baseball cap. In fan videos, Cruz can also be seen introducing a track and shouting to the crowd: "Acho, PR es otra cosa!" translating to, "Hey, PR is something else!" A post shared by Penélope Cruz (@penelopecruzoficial) Cruz and Bardem married in 2010 and have two children: Leo, 14, and Luna, 12. Bad Bunny, the Latin superstar born Benito Ocasio, kicked off his No Me Quiero Ir de Aquí (I Don't Want to Leave Here) residency July 11 at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico, the island's largest indoor arena. The first nine dates were reserved for local residents only, as Bad Bunny, 31, wanted to pay tribute to his homeland. He'll continue his performances every weekend through Sept. 14 for shows that are already boosting tourism in Puerto Rico. At another show, the Grammy-winning reggaeton superstar invited actor Austin Butler to join him on stage, as seen in viral fan footage shared on social media. Austin Butler recalls trippy Bad Bunny concert after taking edible: 'My brain is in two movies' Butler explained to "Tonight Show" host Jimmy Fallon that his concert euphoria wasn't just a musical high. "Somebody gave me an edible right before the show, and I thought that was a good idea at the time," Butler said. "It's like my brain is in two movies." Bad Bunny's concerts are in support of his chart-topping sixth studio album, "Debí Tirar Más Fotos," which reflects the musical styles he grew up with and lyrically tackles the cultural identity and the socio-political challenges of the island. The album's all-stadium world tour kicks off Nov. 21 in Santo Domingo and ends July 22 in Brussels, Belgium. The tour does not currently have any dates in the continental United States.
