Aaron Phypers 'files for divorce from Denise Richards'

Perth Now07-07-2025
Denise Richards and Aaron Phypers have split after six years of marriage.
The 52-year-old actor has filed for divorce at Los Angeles' Stanley Mosk Courthouse, according to documents seen by Us Weekly.
Aaron cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their split, and the date of their separation is listed as July 4.
In the court documents, the actor lists Denise's youngest daughter - 14-year-old Eloise, whom she adopted - as his stepchild, and he's asking the court to award him spousal support.
Aaron also claims that he's earned zero dollars over the past 12 months, after shutting down his business. On the other hand, he claims that Denise - who also has daughters Sami, 21, and Lola, 19, with ex-husband Charlie Sheen - has a monthly income of $250,000.
The actress was married to Charlie between 2001 and 2006, and she previously insisted that she wouldn't get divorced ever again.
On an episode of the reality show Denise Richards and Her Wild Things, she said: "I'm never getting divorced again. Even if we hate each other, I'm not gonna f****** get divorced."
Prior to that, Denise admitted that her break-up from Charlie was "really hard" on her career.
She told Us Weekly: "That was really hard for my career.
"A lot of people didn't want to hire me. That has been a roller-coaster of a journey, and he's been one of my biggest teachers of learning a lot about myself actually!"
Denise also revealed that Charlie has totally different style of parenting.
The Hollywood star said on the Whine Down with Jenna Kramer podcast: "I parent my way. He parents his way, and there was no co-parenting."
Denise regrets that she doesn't have a better relationship with her ex-husband.
She said: "I have kids with him, and I'm not really — I'm friendly with Charlie, but I wish we were friends."
Denise hopes that their relationship will improve over time. What's more, the actress wants to avoid a scenario whereby her children have to picks sides between herself and Charlie.
She said: "I just didn't want the girls to feel like they had to choose sides."

Harry Hamlin celebrates one year of sobriety

Harry Hamlin is celebrating one year of sobriety. The 73-year-old actor - who is married to reality TV star Lisa Rinna - has revealed that he hasn't drunk any alcohol since 2024. Speaking on the Let's Not Talk About the Husband podcast, Harry shared: "Today's one year. It wasn't that big of a deal, but I decided to not use alcohol again." Harry has actually lost "a considerable amount of weight" since he quit drinking and started intermittent fasting. The actor - who has been married to Lisa since 1997 - suggested that he's actually been happier and healthier since he stopped drinking. He said: "It was not difficult for me at all. "I'm very happy [not drinking]. I was always tempted to have a glass of wine in the evening, have some liquor to go to sleep." Harry has quit drinking before, including a four-year spell of sobriety in the 2010s, and he even joined Alcoholics Anonymous at one point in time. The actor thinks he really benefited from his experience with Alcoholics Anonymous. He said: "Everybody should do the programme. One of the greatest gifts that I ever got was doing that for that four-year period." Harry's two brothers were both alcoholics, and so he's always been very conscious of his own drinking habits. He reflected: "It is what it is. It's not that big a deal in my life, by the way. For a lot of people, stopping drinking is a huge deal. For me, it's something I'm happy about doing." Meanwhile, Harry previously revealed that respect and support have been key to his marriage to Lisa. He told Us Weekly: "If we could bottle and sell it, that would be good. I don't think anybody knows. It comes down to listening and being respectful and supportive. Lisa is Lisa, and that in and of itself is kind of a challenge, which is why I don't follow [her] on social media." Lisa also believes that they have complementary personalities. The 62-year-old star said: "In our case, opposites attract. And we're good at allowing the other person to be who they are and do what they want."

Dancing has taught me some life lessons, says Julianne Hough

Julianne Hough's dancing career has taught her some important "life lessons". The 37-year-old star - who joined Dancing with the Stars back in 2007 - believes her career has taught her the value of "resilience and tenacity". Speaking to Us Weekly, Julianne explained: "There were definite life lessons along the way. "[Learning] dance and technique and professionally are important, but [also we learned] the life lessons of resilience and tenacity and how to show up and add value, how to be connected to your uniqueness. All of those things shaped us, from our guides and our mentors." Derek Hough, Julianne's brother, believes that his own dance career has helped to shape his character. The TV star said: "My coaches, my mentors [and] a lot of the lessons that I've learned [from the dance studio made me] who I am today as a man, and as a person. "[It was] from my teachers, you know, the way they taught me [and] the way they [acted] toward me." Despite this, Derek previously admitted to putting lots of pressure on himself during his younger years. The professional dancer confessed to suffering from self-doubts in the early days. During an appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show, the show's host asked Derek: "You also have a lot of pressures to be perfect and to always win. How do you handle that?" Derek replied: "At a very young age, I had this belief in myself, which was, 'Am I enough? Am I good enough?' "Over time, in order to feel I am enough, I had to achieve something. In order for me to feel that I was worthy, I had to succeed, I had to win. Only then would I feel I was enough." Derek struggled to find fulfilment during his younger years. However, he's learned some important lessons during the course of his career. Derek - who is best known for his appearances on Dancing with the Stars - explained: "I didn't really realise at the time was it's not really about what we achieve in this life that really matters, it's who we become as a person along the way."

Charlie Sheen promises 'nothing' is off limits for Netflix documentary

Charlie Sheen has insisted "nothing" is off limits for his new Netflix documentary. The Two And A Half Men actor - who has been open about his well documented personal issues and addiction battles over the years - will delve into his personal life like never before for director Andrew Renzi's two-part series aka Charlie Sheen. In a teaser trailer, the 59-year-old star is asked if anything is banned from discussions, and replies: "Nothing." Elsewhere in the video announcing the project - which will hit Netflix on September 10 - Charlie described his shame as "suffocating". He said: "When you got a lot of shame about a lot of stuff... Shame is suffocating... "I lit the fuse, you know, and my life turns into everything it wasn't supposed to be." The former Hollywood bad boy claimed he will reveal details in the documentary that he had promised never to speak about in public. He added: "The stuff that I plan on sharing, I had made a sacred vow to only reveal to a therapist." Meanwhile, at one point Charlie tearfully reflects on how his past behaviour must have impacted his dad, actor Martin Sheen. He admitted: "I can't imagine being my dad. I really hurt the people I love." A host of talking heads have been tapped up for the programme, including Denise Richards, Heidi Fleiss, Jon Cryer, Sean Penn, Ramon Estevez, Brooke Mueller, Chris Tucker, and Charlie's drug dealer Marco. The synopsis reads: "aka Charlie Sheen tracks his upbringing in Malibu to his effortless rise to megastardom — and dramatic fall, all within the public eye. "With a stunning clarity earned through seven years of sobriety, Sheen openly speaks about the subjects and events he's never discussed publicly before." The docu-series also promises "extraordinarily candid interviews with his family, friends, and cast members". The Netflix preview continues: "The most outrageous moments of Sheen's life are revisited with raw emotion and exceptional warmth, painting a portrait of a flawed man whose penchant for self-destruction is ultimately no match for the ferocious love and forgiveness he inspires in those closest to him.'
