EXCLUSIVE The Valley's Kristen Doute SHADES Jax Taylor and his treatment of ex Brittany Cartwright

Daily Mail23-04-2025

The Valley star Kristen Doute has weighed in on her co-star Jax Taylor seeking help for his cocaine addiction, and whether she believes he's a changed man.
The 45-year-old confessed last month that he had substance issues, primarily with cocaine, ever since he was in his 20s.
In September 2024, Jax checked into an in-patient facility to address his substance abuse and anger issues following his split from ex Brittany Cartwright, 36.
After spending 30 days in an in-patient facility, he informed his fans that he was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder and PTSD.
'It's been a lot to process and an emotional time for me, however I've come home to my son with a newfound sense of peace. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't scared for the future but my focus is just trying to be a better version of myself than I was yesterday,' he wrote on Instagram at the time. 'Mental health is a lifelong battle of not letting it control you but rather you learning to control it."
In an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com, Kristen, who was joined by her co-star Nia Sanchez, said that she doesn't believe he got the treatment that he needed.
Jax Taylor checked himself into an in-patient facility in September 2024 to address his substance abuse and anger issues following his split from Brittany
'I don't think that it did [help] and I don't think that had anything to do with the facility.
'I think it was what he was willing to give and receive from that journey that he took there, which you'll see play out,' she revealed.
'But no, I don't think he's taken anything seriously enough yet. I'm still hoping.'
Bravo fans are now watching Jax's mental health journey play out in new episodes of The Valley. Season two premiered on April 15.
The cast is watching scenes unfold for the first time, especially those that they were not part of during filming.
Kristen admitted, 'To be honest, I don't think Jax could be worse. And I'm glad that it is being shown exactly the way that it is. It's not being sugar-coated. Because he was really awful, and that's just factual, unfortunately... Like, one-upping himself.'
The Vanderpump Rules alum's co-star couldn't agree more.
Nia, 35, told DailyMail.com, 'Yeah, I mean some of the things that he was saying, I was like, "Really? Really?"'
Brittany, who shares three-year-old son Cruz with Jax, filed for divorce in Los Angeles in August 2024, citing irreconcilable differences.
Meanwhile, their co-stars, Michelle, 36, and Jesse Lally, 44, are also in the midst of divorce after Michelle filed in March 2024 after five years of marriage.
Nia, who is married to Daniel Booko, said the way both couples are handling the divorce process is 'very different'.
'There's a lot of just dysfunction in both relationships, and I feel like for both relationships, it's so much better for them to be separate, and I'm normally not the person that says that.
'Like, even when Brittany and Jax first separated I'm like, "If he changes, then maybe there's hope." Because I could see in her heart that she wanted hope and hope for that in the beginning.'
Kristen agreed that both couples are 'so much happier separated' and said she is hoping that they can eventually 'get to a place where it's not so hard to be in the same room.'
However, when it comes to finalizing their divorces - both of which are still ongoing - the TV personality believes Jax and Brittany's divorce will be finalized first.
'I think Jesse's been more difficult. Jax doesn't have a leg to stand on, in my opinion, even though he's also very difficult,' she insisted.
Kristen gushed, 'I'm so grateful because I don't know what I would do without Nia.' The co-stars stopped by DailyMail.com's New York City office on April 22
She went on say, 'They're both very stubborn bullheaded men who want their way, which I've heard happens a lot in divorce, I guess.
'But they all know that they're happier without each other. So I hope they come to a resolution, so they can move on.'
Kristen revealed to DailyMail.com that she's fully supportive of Brittany moving on and dating whomever she wants, including Jax's friend Julian Sensley.
In the premiere episode of The Valley, Jax learned that his ex had been sending 'sexy' text messages to his now-former friend.
Despite it being a 'fling', Kristen said, 'It wasn't about Brittany finding someone to replace Jax, finding someone to replace as Cruz's dad or her new husband.
'It was just about finding someone that [thinks] you're beautiful and that you're funny and you're kind and you're smart, and all the things that your husband has not done for the last 10 years.'
When asked if she's playing matchmaker for her friend, Kristen said, 'She's doing wonderfully by herself, but I am absolutely a wing woman.' Nia added, 'Yeah support and encourage but she's good on her own. She's incredible.'
Meanwhile, Jax is rumored to be dating esthetician Jessica Perkson.
She told DailyMail.com, 'He said [a photo of the rumored couple] was from a long time ago - as there are happy Easter balloons all over Ralph's grocery store. So I'm like, "How long ago? Last Easter?"
'He says that he is not, but he also says a lot of things. They could be dating they might not be.'
Not bothered by Kristen's love life, she is focusing on her own with her fiancé Luke Broderick. The couple got engaged in September 2024 and are now expecting their first child together - a baby girl - in June.
Nia, for her part, is expecting her fourth child - following the birth of Asher, 3, and one-year-old twins Isabelle and Zariah - with Daniel and is due around the same time as Kristen ('a week apart') and is also expecting a baby girl.
Kristen gushed, 'I'm so grateful because I don't know what I would do without Nia. I spent the first 12 weeks - more than actually, like the first like 16 weeks - complaining to her about my pregnancy and how new it was and how difficult it was like emotionally and mentally, which isn't something I think a lot of people talk about... And then she finally told me she was pregnant.'
With less than two months away from her due date, Nia said that she is glad she can 'enjoy' her pregnancy, which is a 'breath of fresh air,' after giving birth to her twins, which she said had a lot of 'high-risk moments.'
New episodes of The Valley air every Tuesday at 9pm ET on Bravo.

Daisy May Cooper shares her 'real name' in sweet social media post

In a post marking her son Benji's first birthday this week, Daisy May Cooper seemingly revealed that her legal surname is still the same as her ex-husband, Will Weston Daisy May Cooper has seemingly shared her real legal name as she posted a sweet throwback photo on social media. The actress and writer, who won the 2018 BAFTA TV Award for Best Female Comedy Performance for playing Kerry Mucklowe in the BBC Three series This Country, has always been known by the surname Cooper since rising to fame. However, in a post shared this week, she revealed that her surname is actually Weston. ‌ The photo, shared by Daisy on her Instagram Stories on Friday, is an image of her hospital visit on June 6, 2024, when she gave birth to her son Benji. She wrote: "1 year ago today at 03.04am we welcomed our baby boy into the world." ‌ In the snap, her full name is written as Daisy May Weston - the surname of her ex-husband, Will Weston. The pair married in The Cotswolds in September 2019 and they share to children to whom they are "both devoted parents". However, they decided to part ways in 2021 after the Covid-19 lockdown "shone a spotlight" on their marital difficulties. Daisy, 38, is now in a relationship with her new partner, Anthony Huggins, who is Benji's father. The couple met on dating app Hinge in December 2021 and welcomed their child a year ago. When her youngest son was born, Daisy announced the news via Instagram and detailed how the little one arrived earlier than planned, penning: "You came a bit earlier than we expected and gave me the worst post op constipation that I nearly had to phone the Samaritans but my god you are perfect. "I cannot thank @deliverysuitegrh enough. The way you looked after us through such a scary time was above and beyond." Daisy's pregnancy was announced in March last year when she and Anthony packed on PDA while shopping for baby clothes in Cirencester, Gloucestershire. ‌ The couple held hands when they stepped out for a spot of shopping, with the actress' bump on full display in a figure-hugging all-black look. The pair could barely keep their hands off one another while making the most of the sunny weather, and Daisy was seen heartily laughing as they went about their day. At the time, a source said: "Daisy is pregnant and is really excited to become a mum for the third time with her new partner. The pair have been going strong, so the addition of a baby will only bring them closer together." Then earlier this year, the couple sparked engagement rumours after Daisy was spotted wearing a diamond rock on her ring finger. Speculation that Anthony had popped the question began in February when Daisy was promoting her BBC series Am I Being Unreasonable? on her Instagram Stories and referred to Anthony as her "fiancé" for the first time. In a clip, she jested that her "fit fiancé and baby daddy" would make an appearance on screen. It was reported at the beginning of the year that Daisy and Anthony were happily engaged and "over the moon" with the news after a secret proposal. A source told The Sun at the time: "Daisy and Anthony are madly in love with each other and are a success story for dating apps. Their relationship has gone from strength to strength and already have a baby boy together." In addition to son Benji, Daisy shares children Pip, five, and Jack, three, with her ex Will. After their break-up, Daisy admitted to The Times: "Will is amazing, an incredible, incredible dad - but fundamentally, there wasn't real love there, I don't think there ever was, really." She went on to reveal that the lockdown "shone a spotlight" on their marital difficulties" and that she needed to be by herself after the strains of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Chris Brown's 'crazy tour budget' as he returns to the stage after UK arrest

Chris Brown has returned to the stage for the first time since his arrest in the UK as the singer entertained crowds at a concert in Amsterdam's Johan Cruyff Arena Chris Brown's fans reacted as the singer returned to the stage following his UK arrest last month. The singer was in Amsterdam to kick off his Breezy Bowl XX tour, which is celebrating 20 years of his career. Followers of the controversial star took to social media to share snippets from the Johan Cruyff Arena in Amsterdam which showed an impressive stage set up. Among his lavish designs was a huge human statue that toward over the surrounding, which the star is thought to have performed on. Uploading a clip to Twitter/X, one user wrote: "the budget for this chris brown tour is crazy, he's not playing about his 20 years of career," followed by a flame emoji. Another said: "Oh my GOD," as they showcased the set up in their own video. And a third added an image of the statue with the crowd looking up at the performer. His Amsterdam gig comes after he was arrested in the UK last month. His arrest came after he was accused of using a bottle to cause bodily harm to music producer Abe Diaw during a night out at London's Tape nightclub in Mayfair on February 19, 2023. On May 15 this year, Brown was arrested at the Lowry Hotel in Salford. He had recently jetted into nearby Manchester Airport to rehearse for his upcoming Breezy Bowl XX 20th anniversary tour. The singer has been charged with one count of grievous bodily harm. He was initially denied bail and is expected to appear in person at Southwark Crown Court next month. District Judge Joanna Hirst told the court that the charge was too serious to be dealt with at the magistrates ' court. However, the 36-year-old star was later granted bail following a court plea. He was ordered to pay a £5 million security fee to the court. The financial guarantee is to ensure a defendant returns to court and may be forfeited if they breach bail conditions. His lawyer, Grace Forbes, had argued that he was a public figure known worldwide as they pleaded for bail to be granted. As well as his Amsterdam performance, Brown is scheduled to perform in cities across the UK, including Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow, London and Cardiff. Despite his arrest, Brown's bail conditions enable him to continue with his scheduled international tour this year, including in the UK later this month and July. Following his release on bail, the American singer took to Instagram to tell his 144million followers: "From the cage to the stage!!! Breezybowl." Brown's bold post was seemingly in reference to the fact his bail conditions allow him to honour his tour commitments and perform across Europe ahead of his court date next month.

Demi Moore told 'this is not ok' as she divides fans after rescuing ducklings

Oscar nominated actress Demi Moore was slammed by some fans for how she interacted with the three baby ducks she rescued, amid concern for the welfare of the animals Actress Demi Moore has divided fans after revealing she has rescued three baby ducks. The 62-year-old animal lover, who is said to have nine pet dogs, took to Instagram to share a cute snap with the ducklings. Tucking the baby mallards into her jacket, a smiling Demi shared they had already made friends with her Chihuahua Pilaf, who she often shares photos of. Her daughters and granddaughter were also spotted getting to know the ducklings in a series of pics posted to her social media account. ‌ The Substance star captioned the post: "Duck, duck… Pilaf! We rescued three orphaned baby mallard ducklings! With the help and guidance of my local vet we are working to nurture them until they are old enough to be reintroduced to their natural habitat. It has been a messy joy, but Pilaf is loving her new friends." ‌ Though some of her celebrity followers like Paris Hilton and Jennifer Garner commented with heart emojis and Tom Hanks wife Rita Wilson wrote "Oh my goodness! How sweet is this?" - not everybody agreed with it. READ MORE: Demi Moore and Bruce Willis' daughter Rumer, 36, defends taking baths with her sisters One follower wrote: "This is not ok. Wild mallards should be rehabbed by wildlife rehabber. Her vet should have known that. Sorry.. cute but imprinted…" Agreeing, another replied: "Correct. Handling these ducks is not a good rehab practice. They should NEVER be subjected to all that handling." A third person commented: "Yeah this is messed up, these ducks need to go to a wildlife rehab." A fourth said: "Just because a celebrity thinks its cute doesn't make it right." While a fifth asked: "What happened to mom! If they imprint to you - there is no way you should release them. That will work against them in the wild as they follow humans around. Talk to a wildlife rehab facility." But others leapt to Demi's defence, with one writing: "Those ducks will most likely live because of her. And all you can do is b***h and complain. Get a life and follow someone else." Another chimed in: "What if a rehab person is actually filming this before taking them away….what if this is being filmed at rehab facility….what if….. I would give a person benefit of doubt before criticizing [sic] or attacking them. Three little ducklings following a person. That is all that you can say with certainty." ‌ The Mirror has reached out to Demi's reps for further comment on this story. Demi is known for her love of animals and is often spotted with what seems to be her favourite dog Pilaf. The pint-sized pooch - said to be a similar size to a guinea pig - even accompanied her famous owner to a recent awards ceremony. ‌ Pilaf was seen walking the red carpet with Demi at the Film Independent Spirit Awards back in February. Movie star Demi has joked Pilaf's fame is now so big it's eclipsed her own. She said: "The truth is, I am her accessory." She has also appeared on Jimmy Fallon's chat show with Demi. Introducing Pilaf to the audience, Demi shared: "This is Pilaf, the little mouse. She is a pound and a half. She's the runt of her litter. She's a magical creature." Jimmy replied: "She is. I met her backstage and her tongue permanently hangs out." Demi replied: "It does. She lost the teeth that hold it in, but it's part of her charm. Demi admitted she also sleeps with her dogs - and that might be why she's currently single. She shared: "If anybody saw my nighttime routine, if it was filmed, they would really see how eccentric I am. "I have to prop pillows so the ones that are this size have the ability to get under the covers. I have two beds for the little ones so that they have the beds within the bed. Hence why I'm single!"
