Lily Collins' Emily Cooper will be living the dolce vita in Rome with her Italian beau Marcello in the much-anticipated fifth season of Netflix's 'Emily in Paris.' Or at least some of it. The new season of hit romantic comedy created by Darren Star will kick off production this May in Rome before moving to Paris later in the summer.
Slated to premiere later this year on Netflix, Season 5 is expected to give Emily (Lily Collins) an embarrassment of riches when it comes to her love life, bringing back her two one-and-off boyfriends, the sexy French chef, Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) and dashing Brit, Alfie (Lucien Laviscount), alongside her new Italian love interest, Marcello (Eugenio Franceschini).

While the production will be partly set in Rome, the key French cast will also return, notably Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu who plays Collins' chic and nonchalant boss Sylvie Grateau, Samuel Arnold (Julien), Bruno Gouery (Luc), William Abadie (Antoine Lambert), as well as Ashley Park who stars as Emily's best friend, Mindy Chen.
Some actors, however, won't be returning to the show, such as Camille Razat, who played Camille, the 'villain,' in the first four seasons of the show. The last season was marked by the arrival of a new sexy and deceitful antagonist, Geneviève, played by Thalia Besson (who happens to be the daughter of French director Luc Besson) but she hasn't yet signed on to be back.
The plot of Season 5 remains under wraps, and Variety can reveal that Season 5 picks up days after Season 4 ends, as Emily settles into her beautiful apartment in Rome to run Agence Grateau's Italian office. Alfie has moved on with a new girlfriend after Emily chose Gabriel over him. But ultimately, Emily grows tired of Gabriel's ambiguous relationship with Camille and indecision, and starts flirting with Marcello Muratori, the charming and confident heir of a family-owned cashmere company in the picturesque fictional village of Solitano, near Rome. Season 4 wraps with a cliffhanger as Gabriel, who's had an epiphany, surprises Emily by showing up on the doorsteps of her new flat in Rome upon learning that she has relocated there.
Late last year, Bravo sparked some headlines after expressing his frustration over his 'Emily in Paris' character Gabriel. While promoting Melanie Laurent's 'Freedom' in which he plays a notorious French gangster, Bravo told IndieWire that his character in 'Emily in Paris' had been 'slowly turned into guacamole.' 'The 'sexy chef' was very much part of me in Season 1 and we grew apart season after season because of the choices he makes and because of the direction they make him take. I've never been so far away from him,' Bravo said.
Yet, Bravo will be back and so will Gabriel's Michelin-rated restaurant, which will be one of the backdrops of the upcoming season which is currently being written, according to our intel. The actor's career has taken off in the three years thanks to 'Emily in Paris.' He landed roles in 'Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris,' 'Tickets to Paradise,' 'The Honeymoon' and 'Freedom,' as well as Noemie Merlant's sexy genre movie 'The Balconettes.'
'Emily in Paris' Season 5 is executive produced by Tony Hernandez, Lilly Burns, Andrew Fleming, Stephen Brown, Alison Brown, Robin Schiff, Grant Sloss and Joe Murphy. It's produced by MTV Entertainment Studios, Darren Star Productions, and Jax Media.
The impact of 'Emily in Paris' on popular culture and soft power has been such that French President Emmanuel Macron told Variety in a cover interview last October that France 'will fight hard' for the series to remain in the country. That declaration then provoked a lighthearted feud between the French President and Rome mayor Roberto Gualtieri.

‘Nobody Wants This' Season 2 Netflix Premiere Date Revealed, Creator Promises ‘Romantic and Funny' Outing

Netflix know that a lot of somebodies want this. The second season of 'Nobody Wants This' will premiere October 23. The show first dropped on the streamer last September to sparkling reviews, with IndieWire's Proma Khosla praising the chemistry between leads Kristen Bell and Adam Brody. The show, created by Erin Foster, finds Joanne (Bell, also an executive producer) and Noah (Brody) in a would-be conventional love story complicated by Noah's position as a rabbi. Popular podcaster Joanne isn't just not Jewish, she's also unreligious generally — as is her entire non-traditional family. As Noah and Joanne attempt to acclimate to each other's worlds, and Joanne explores converting, things get complicated — to put it lightly. Emmy event at the Academy Museum in Los Angeles. The evening featured a screening of the pilot followed by a live taping of Foster's 'The World's First Podcast' with Foster, Bell, Brody and fellow cast members Justine Lupe, Timothy Simons, and Jackie Tohn. Stephanie Faracy, Michael Hitchcock, Tovah Feldshuh, Paul Ben-Victor, Emily Arlook, Sherry Cola, and Shiloh Berman will also return for the next batch of episodes, and guests stars will include Miles Fowler, Alex Karpovsky, Arian Moayed, and Bell's 'Gossip Girl' co-star Leighton Meester. Foster based the series on her own life. The actress, writer and podcaster converted to Judaism after falling in love with her Jewish now-husband, Simon Tikhman. Last year, Foster discussed her experience with IndieWire. 'There were about 23 people [in my conversion class] and only three were converting for marriage, which tells you there was 20 very interesting stories going on in that room!' she said. 'And I thought it was just interesting. I hadn't ever seen anybody explore that area, and I thought it'd be cool.' Last month, Foster told IndieWire that Season 2 of 'Nobody Wants This' would be 'romantic and funny.' 'I'm not in the business of depriving people of what they want on a show like this, and making some like, artistic choice to rob you of what you want to see. I really tried to stay on point with Season 1, [it] was all these firsts, first kiss, first date, and this is going to be the next four to six months of the relationship what that looks like,' she said. Netflix's 'Squid Game' Season 3 Official Trailer Is All About Life-Or-Death Choices

Summary Netflixhas released the official trailer for the highly anticipated third and final season ofSquid Game. The first full-length trailer for the series was unveiled at Netflix Tudum 2025, following theinitial teaserrevealed in early May. The trailer and official synopsis confirm the continuation of the intense conflict between protagonist Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) and the Front Man (Lee Byung-hun). It shows Gi-hun returning to the games, seemingly at his lowest point, while new and deadlier games commence, including a gumball machine game that divides players into red and blue teams. The cast, including Wi Ha-jun, Im Si-wan, and Kang Ha-neul, are all set to return, with the series creators promising a shocking conclusion to Gi-hun's journey. The creatorHwang Dong-hyuktellsTudum, 'The new season will focus on what Gi-hun can and will do after all his efforts fail. He is in utter despair after losing everything and watching all his efforts go in vain. The story then takes an interesting turn, questioning whether Gi-hun can overcome his shame and rise again to prove that values of humanity — like conscience and kindness — can exist in the arena.' The third season picks up right after the Season 2 finale, which saw Gi-hun lead a rebellion against the puppet masters of Squid Game. Unfortunately, the coup failed and many died in the process. The final season is officially set to premiere globally on Netflix on June 27, 2025. This relatively short wait between seasons is due to seasons 2 and 3 reportedly being filmed simultaneously.
