‘Nobody Wants This' Season 2 Netflix Premiere Date Revealed, Creator Promises ‘Romantic and Funny' Outing
Netflix know that a lot of somebodies want this. The second season of 'Nobody Wants This' will premiere October 23. The show first dropped on the streamer last September to sparkling reviews, with IndieWire's Proma Khosla praising the chemistry between leads Kristen Bell and Adam Brody.
The show, created by Erin Foster, finds Joanne (Bell, also an executive producer) and Noah (Brody) in a would-be conventional love story complicated by Noah's position as a rabbi. Popular podcaster Joanne isn't just not Jewish, she's also unreligious generally — as is her entire non-traditional family. As Noah and Joanne attempt to acclimate to each other's worlds, and Joanne explores converting, things get complicated — to put it lightly.

'Nobody Wants This' was renewed back in October, but the drop date was not revealed until the June 1 Netflix FYSEE L.A. Emmy event at the Academy Museum in Los Angeles. The evening featured a screening of the pilot followed by a live taping of Foster's 'The World's First Podcast' with Foster, Bell, Brody and fellow cast members Justine Lupe, Timothy Simons, and Jackie Tohn.
Stephanie Faracy, Michael Hitchcock, Tovah Feldshuh, Paul Ben-Victor, Emily Arlook, Sherry Cola, and Shiloh Berman will also return for the next batch of episodes, and guests stars will include Miles Fowler, Alex Karpovsky, Arian Moayed, and Bell's 'Gossip Girl' co-star Leighton Meester.
Foster based the series on her own life. The actress, writer and podcaster converted to Judaism after falling in love with her Jewish now-husband, Simon Tikhman. Last year, Foster discussed her experience with IndieWire.
'There were about 23 people [in my conversion class] and only three were converting for marriage, which tells you there was 20 very interesting stories going on in that room!' she said. 'And I thought it was just interesting. I hadn't ever seen anybody explore that area, and I thought it'd be cool.'
Last month, Foster told IndieWire that Season 2 of 'Nobody Wants This' would be 'romantic and funny.'
'I'm not in the business of depriving people of what they want on a show like this, and making some like, artistic choice to rob you of what you want to see. I really tried to stay on point with Season 1, [it] was all these firsts, first kiss, first date, and this is going to be the next four to six months of the relationship what that looks like,' she said.

Former Los Angeles attorney Tom Girardi sentenced to more than 7 years in prison for embezzling millions from clients
Former high-powered Los Angeles attorney Tom Girardi was sentenced to more than seven years in prison on Tuesday morning for stealing at least $15 million from clients during a decade-long Ponzi scheme. The federal judge's sentence also includes a restitution payment of more than $2.3 million and fines. Girardi has been ordered to surrender himself to prison on July 17. Girardi, who recently turned 86, was previously seeking placement in a medical facility instead of serving time in prison when U.S. District Judge Josephine Station ruled against him on Monday, despite age-related dementia. Girardi was convicted in August 2024 of four counts of wire fraud for diverting at least $15 million away from four of his clients. Some of his clients have suffered serious physical injuries or lost loved ones as part of their cases, such as a man whose girlfriend died in a natural gas explosion in Northern California, which left him with life-threatening injuries and severe burns all over his body. Prosecutors said he used the embezzled money from clients to pay off other settlements, private jets and jewelry. His luxurious lifestyle was depicted on "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," a reality TV show that starred his estranged wife, Erika Girardi, a pop singer who performs as Erika Jayne. "Tom Girardi built celebrity status and lured in victims by falsely portraying himself as a 'Champion of Justice,'" U.S. Attorney Martin Estrada said following Girardi's conviction. "In reality, he was a Robin-Hood-in-reverse, stealing from the needy to support of a lavish, Hollywood lifestyle." In 2021, growing allegations surfaced against Girardi when he was sued by an attorney who worked with him in representing families of those killed in the 2018 Lion Air Flight crash, which left 189 people dead.

I've been working with product testing and reviews for five years, and have tested more than my fair share of bedding and sleep products. Despite this expertise, a mattress is still a very personal item that needs to cater to many individual sleep preferences, as well as body type and size and any aches and pains. And when couples share a bed, a mattress has to please them both. To provide the most information possible, in this Titan Plus Luxe review, I'll do a deep dive into the mattress itself and its construction. The Titan Plus Luxe is rated by the company as a 6 out of 10 on the firmness scale, a medium firmness. But in my experience and that of most of our testers, it skews a little firmer-feeling than that. When I lie on it, my whole body feels uniformly and strongly supported, with no give or sagging as I change position. And even with his larger size and heavier weight, my husband feels the same, and says, 'I don't perceive much bounce; it feels like the internal build is substantial.' Despite being so supportive, the mattress' quilted top has a lot of soft cushioning that lets pressure point areas like the hips and shoulders sink in. My husband is primarily a side sleeper, and hasn't experienced any discomfort in that position. I'm a combination sleeper, mostly switching between stomach sleeping and side sleeping, and the Titan Plus Luxe has been comfortable for me, with no pain points. Our group of seven testers, who all weigh more than 250 pounds, scored it a 9 out of 10 for side sleeping and an 8.5 out of 10 for back and stomach sleeping. The Titan Plus Luxe Mattress is 13 inches tall, which my tall husband appreciates. As a taller person, another thing my husband prefers about the Titan Plus Luxe is its 13-inch height, which is noticeably more than our previous memory foam mattress. Of course the full height of your bed is also dependent on the frame or base, but the extra few inches of the Plus Luxe make getting in and out of bed more comfortable for him. The Titan Plus Luxe is a bed-in-a-box mattress, so it's delivered magically folded in half and rolled up, wrapped in plastic, in a manageable-size package. While the size is convenient and easy to get through hallways and upstairs, it is still quite heavy and may need two people to carry and maneuver it. (The brand says it weighs between 80 to 150 pounds depending on the size you choose.) The packaging and delivery did leave a little to be desired, though. It showed up on my porch with the cardboard box completely falling apart. There was nothing protecting the mattress inside the box aside from plastic wrap, and it was exposed in multiple areas. I'm actually shocked the mattress wasn't damaged at all during shipping. It was easy to unpack and it basically unrolled itself once the plastic was removed. It had to sit to expand and off-gas for 24 hours, and it did have a bit of a chemical odor while doing so. The Titan Plus Luxe Mattress after unboxing and unrolling. As a big-and-tall side sleeper, my husband was pleasantly surprised at the plush cushioning of the Plus Luxe, as it effectively cradles all pressure points. And as a sometimes side sleeper, I have to agree—I haven't experienced any aches and pains from sleeping on this mattress. Another one of our testers reports that the Titan Plus Luxe 'felt comfortable' and that she 'didn't feel any discomfort in the target areas.' 'You slightly sink in without misalignment,' she says. Our testers scored it a 9 out of 10 for overall pressure relief. While the brand notes that the mattress' cover contains an infusion of cooling gel, neither my husband nor I have found it particularly cooling. The mattress itself is not cool to the touch, and we've both had nights during which we've felt sweaty or had to kick covers off while we sleep. I should note that during testing, we've been sleeping with cooling bamboo sheets and a silk-filled comforter that is made to be cooling for hot sleepers. If you're naturally a hot sleeper and are more comfortable with specifically cooling products, I recommend upgrading to the optional GlacioTex cooling cover (for a little over $100) that uses PE fibers that absorb body heat and wick moisture away from your skin. Having slept on memory foam for years before trying the Titan Plus Luxe, we feared that the mattress wouldn't isolate motion as well as our previous one. This is the first hybrid mattress we've owned, and we're pleasantly surprised by how well it performs. We both tend to be restless sleepers, tossing and turning throughout the night. We have both managed to sleep through any movement from each other, to wake up feeling rested. I'm a lighter sleeper than my husband, though, so I still usually wake up if he gets out of bed and back into it during the night. The Titan Plus Luxe is specifically designed to be supportive for heavy sleepers—the 'big, tall and powerfully strong,' according to the company. The layer of 900 coils offers plus-size support, while the comfort layers make sure there is still a little sink and body contouring. As a mostly stomach sleeper, I haven't noticed any sagging or lack of support for my spine, and our group of testers agree. One tester commented that while the mattress itself is firm and supportive enough for stomach sleeping, the soft, pillowy cover has enough give that his stomach was comfortable pressing into it. My husband, who sometimes sleeps on his back, says that the mattress has 'a great balance of firmness and give.' He adds, 'Your hips sink into the surface batting while the rest of your body floats. This is a great mattress for back sleepers.' As for edge support, the sides are nice and strong, so you can roll around on the mattress and not feel as if you might fall off. One tester says, 'There was no sinking feeling when I shifted. And as I changed positions, I did not feel any change in support. The center of the bed felt as supportive as the edge.' The Titan Plus Luxe Mattress offers a medium feel and sturdy edge support. Maybe because our last mattress was memory foam, we haven't felt any issues with movement on the Plus Luxe. Unlike memory foam, where you can sometimes feel sunk in or stuck, we both feel firmly 'on top' of this mattress. The majority of our testers scored its edge support at least an 8 out of 10, with one noting, 'I found it quite easy to move in, but not a complete ease that you would get with a solid firm mattress.' Testers agreed that although it's easy to shift around on, the Titan Plus Luxe is not a bouncy mattress where it's completely effortless. Note that once you remove the plastic and the mattress unrolls and decompresses, it can take 24 hours to be fully ready to use. Once your mattress is ready for you, you have plenty of time to decide if you made the right purchase. Titan offers a trial period of 120 nights, although you can't return the Plus Luxe until you've given it a chance for at least 30 nights. But if you do decide you're unhappy with your mattress, all you have to do is email the company to get it picked up and removed, and your return processed. Note that there is a $99 return fee. Every mattress purchase from Titan comes with a limited lifetime warranty, providing you bought it directly from the company or from an authorized retailer. Note: You must have your receipt for proof of purchase. The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship for as long as you own the mattress. For the first ten years of ownership, the company replaces your mattress at no charge after a warranty claim. During years 11 to 15, a replacement costs 50% of the then-current retail price of the mattress. A warranty claim during years 16 to 20 costs you 60% of the then-current price. ‘The Pitt' and ‘The Residence' Costume Designer on Making Noah Wyle Look ‘Worn Out' and Sherlock Inspiration for Uzo Aduba's Look
Having worked on 'E.R' and 'Presidio Med,' costume designer Lyn Paolo felt she didn't feel the need to do another medical drama. But when she read the scripts for 'The Pitt' by former 'E.R.' colleagues and producers John Wells and Noah Wyle, she couldn't turn it down. 'The scripts were brilliant, and they're all so passionate about the project and highlighting the people that take care of us.' Paolo's challenge was to make her costumes look and feel real. Paolo describes Wyle's Dr. Michael Robbie's look as 'downtrodden and worn out.' His Beers of the Burgh hoodie was 'trashed. His pants weren't new either,' Paolo says. In comparison, the new people to the trauma center came in with a fresh and crisp look. 'We slowly aged everything all the way through the season,' she says, noting how there was a lot of meticulous detail. Shoes were an important part of 'The Pitt's' detail. Paolo notes how each principal had their brand and 10 pairs. The number was necessary for the season's shoot and to show how the shoes aged over the 15-hour shift. But Paolo didn't just give actors shoes to wear. 'We consciously spoke to each actor individually and said to them, 'Tell me about your feet. What are the problems? What are the good things? What are the bad things? What can you see yourself wearing for nine months and knowing that you're going to be on your feet 12 hours a day, every day.'' She adds that every single character has their own distinct shoe. But there was also meticulous detail on Netflix's 'The Residence.' 'It's a different kind of detail. Why are the Australians in navy blue tuxedos and the Americans in black tuxedos?' 'The Residence' follows Uzo Aduba as Cordelia Cupp, who is tasked with solving a murder at the White House, and everyone, including the staff and guests, are all suspects. Production designer Francois Audouy recreated the White House right down to the yellow and blue rooms, as well as state rooms, leaving little room for Paolo to play with. With most of her color choices eliminated, Paolo would buy fabric swatches and hold them up against color palettes on the wall. 'We didn't want Uzo disappearing against a wall,' she says. Paolo spent time putting together Cordelia's look, and getting it right was vital. She compares the process to a jigsaw puzzle. She knew she wanted something iconic. As a huge murder mystery fan, Paolo says she found inspiration in her love for Sherlock Holmes, 'I went back to the original Sherlock, Basil Rathbone from the 1930s, and just did all this research.' Eventually, she found a 1930s-style hunting jacket that matched Cordelia's quirky personality. In addition to that, Paolo also leaned on her love for Katherine Hepburn. 'I felt like a Hepburn pant, a man's brogue, and a tweed hunting jacket.' Of course, Aduba loved it, and that became Cordelia's signature look. As with 'The Pitt,' it was all about detail for 'The Residence.' Cordelia needed to stand out and was the center of that world. But each group also needed to have their own distinct feeling. 'For all of our background artists, we couldn't use prime colors because I didn't know who was going to be in which room. So, we ended up manufacturing a lot of gowns for the ladies in metallics.' Paolo's next challenge was dressing the men, especially since most were in tuxedos. 'There were tiny, subtle things like navy blue for the Australians, black for the Americans, and a mid gray for the staff.' She adds, 'It's all those visual tricks that we threw in there. Our creator, Paul (William Davies), didn't want anything flashy. He wanted Cordelia to stand out. And I think we got that. I think we achieved that with her look, and everyone else floated away.'
