Inside Joanna Lumley's 'calculated' and 'razor sharp' Wednesday season 2 role

Joanna Lumley will be rubbing shoulders with Wednesday Addams star Jenna Ortega for Wednesday season two.
WARNING: This article contains spoilers from Wednesday season 2.

Wednesday season two is welcoming Joanna Lumley into the fold with fans curious to know all there is about her role in the Netflix horror comedy-drama.

Joanna Lumley is famed for starring as the wild Patsy Stone in the 1990s sitcom Absolutely Fabulous with Jennifer Saunders but has since moved on to other major projects.

The former model, author and activist has starred in a number of hit films including Paddington 2, The Wolf of Wall Street as well as hit UK series like Fool Me Once and Amandaland.
The Addams Family spin-off Wednesday will be her next TV appearance as the Netflix drama returns for its second season on Wednesday, August 6.
Ahead of its return, the streamer has teased how the unforgettable 79-year-old will make her mark in Wednesday.

Lumley will be joining Wednesday as none other than Wednesday Addams' (played by Jenna Ortega) Grandma Hester Frump.
She is Morticia Addams' (Catherine Zeta-Jones) 'formidable mother and the fabulously wealthy mogul behind Frump Mortuaries', one of the most successful outcast-owned companies in the States.

With this teaser in mind, it's thought that Morticia will be logging heads with her mum in the upcoming second season.
Further describing what to expect from Grandma Hester, Netflix states she is 'immaculately coiffed, emotionally cold, and armed with a razor-sharp tongue.
'Hester is calculated in everything she does, from running her empire to managing her family's legacy.'

A first-look at Lumley's Wednesday makeover has been released ahead of series two's debut and she looks as glamorous as ever in a gothic tight-black dress and dramatic up-do.
She won't be the only newcomer though when the second outing begins as Lumley is to be joined by Thandiwe Newton as psychiatrist Dr Rachael Fairburn, Steve Buscemi as Principal Dort and Billie Piper as music teacher Isadora Capri.
What's even more exciting is that singing legend Lady Gaga is also set to join Wednesday as a teacher called Rosaline Rotwood, although no teaser images have been released of the star just yet.
