Oasis tour setlist
Rumours have been rife on social media for months about the hits that a possible tour setlist could include.
Responding to fans' setlist questions on X, Liam Gallagher has so far confirmed What's The Story (Morning Glory)? tracks Hello and Round Are Way, plus 2000 Standing On The Shoulder of Giants chart-topper Go Let It Out for the shows.
Other hits said to be included are Lyla, The Hindu Times, Stand by Me, She's Electric, Don't Look Back in Anger, Live Forever and Rock N Roll Star.

MPs call on Government to recognise live comedy as distinct art form

MPs have called on the Government to recognise live comedy as its own distinct art form to ensure the sector can access funding. It comes after the Culture Media and Sport (CMS) Committee held an evidence session on live comedy in April which found that, due to differences in infrastructure, workforce and audiences, the sector experienced significant restrictions when accessing funding bodies, including Arts Council England (ACE). In a letter to the Department of Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS), MPs called for the sector to be recognised as its own art form in order to be able to access more funding and investment opportunities. This comes days after the start of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the largest performing arts festival in the world which has largely been cited as the event that helped acts make their break in the industry. The chairwoman of the CMS Committee, Dame Caroline Dinenage MP, said: 'The gathering of performers and audiences at the Edinburgh Fringe showcases the tremendous impact live comedy can have on people's lives and the wider economy. 'But despite proving its cultural and economic importance across the country, a reluctance to see live comedy as a distinct cultural craft has hampered its access to the funding open to other performing arts. 'It's time the Government took the first step to helping the live comedy sector continue to deliver the huge benefits it provides by recognising it as a specific art form and properly engaging with the sector. 'There also needs to be more support for its workforce and a real focus on making sure that participation in and enjoyment of live comedy is something that is open to all.' In a letter addressed to culture minister Sir Chris Bryant, the CMS committee also laid out additional recommendations to protect the workforce including a voluntary scheme, similar to the grassroots music levy, for the biggest comedy venues, producers and promoters to commit to. It also called on the Government to work with funding bodies to establish an 'independent, accurate assessment of the size and distribution of the live comedy sector'.

Oasis fans worried over tickets amid rise in scam sales

Anxious Oasis fans are worried their tickets are fake amid a rise in scammers ahead of the band's sold-out shows in Edinburgh. The Gallagher brothers will make their highly anticipated return to Scotland when they kick off their three sold-out shows at Murrayfield on Friday. However, as the concert nears, fans with and without tickets are concerned about falling victim to scams. Some fans, like Skye, say there's still uncertainty about whether they'll actually get to see the band despite paying for a ticket. 'We didn't get tickets in the original ballot. Eventually, my kids clubbed together they managed to get us two tickets, but they did have to get them off one of the unofficial resale platforms, and we're still dubious,' she told STV News. She added that her tickets have come through, but she has concerns over whether they are legit. 'You hear about people not getting in with them, so we're trying to remain optimistic and positive.' Newlyweds Laura and Rachel opted for tickets halfway across the world, instead of risking getting scammed here. The couple tried to get tickets in the UK and America before they managed to secure them for the shows down under. 'We entered all the ballots for all the presales for the UK, tried on the day and were like 80,000 in the queue, and then we tried for America because that came out next, and we didn't get anywhere, and then we got presale access for Australia,' the couple said. 'We were planning to go anyway, to Australia this year, so it just kind of solidified our decision.' They added: 'It was probably the most difficult concert I've ever had to try and get a ticket for because you don't know if you're buying your tickets off those sites if you're actually even going to get your tickets.' Scammers are also finding new ways to gain customers' trust outside of ticket-selling sites. Kevin Robertson, chief technology officer at Acumen Cyber, said private groups on sites WhatsApp and Facebook are potentially the 'most dangerous' place for scams. He added: 'We've had reports of things like nursery groups and school groups, people gaining access to those or private neighbourhood groups, that kind of thing, so all of a sudden these people are in these groups and they've almost got an established level of trust already, how else would they get access to that group without being invited? So that's the problem, you need to really not trust anybody unless you know them very well.'
