The Biggest New Las Vegas Restaurant Openings, June 2025

Eater02-06-2025
Las Vegas's dining scene moves quickly — powerhouse casinos usher in new behemoths with Champagne and sparklers and off-Strip restaurants continue to open doors in homey neighborhood strip malls. Here is a list of new and notable spots that opened in Las Vegas recently. For the best restaurants in town, check out Eater Las Vegas's Essential 38 or Eater's guide to eating and drinking in Las Vegas. Pisces The Strip
Vibey seafood restaurant Pisces opened in one of the most stunning spaces on the Las Vegas Strip on May 10. Housed in the former Lakeside location at Wynn Las Vegas, chef Martin Heierling's menu features specialty oils from Greece, pastas from Tuscany, Mediterranean seafood like grilled dry-aged branzino and rare blue lobsters, and whimsical desserts shaped like fish. Pisces retains the former tenant's sweeping views of the Lake of Dreams from the window-lined dining room, while revamping the interior with deep navy tones, glittering Italian stone mosaics, and a striking dual-level bar. Zaytinya The Strip
José Andrés's acclaimed Mediterranean restaurant Zaytinya opened in the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace on May 13, adding to the chef's lineup of restaurants in Las Vegas, including Bazaar Meat and é by José Andrés. The menu channels Greek, Turkish, and Lebanese flavors with dishes like spicy soujouk sausage-topped flatbread, charred octopus, and a mezze spread including labneh, tzatziki, baba ghanoush, and more. Larger mains include Tangier-spiced grilled lamb chops and a mixed grill of lamb, kofte, chicken, and adana skewers. Nudo Southern Highlands
Nearly 20 years after debuting the sleek, nightclub-adjacent Nove Italiano high atop the Palms, which closed in 2018, Jenna and Michael Morton of Morton Group have returned to Italian cuisine — this time in a more relaxed, suburban setting. Their newest restaurant, Nudo Italiano, is now open in Southern Highlands, trading Strip-side sheen for casual dining and Neapolitan-style pizza. Helming the kitchen is William DeMarco, who served a menu of handmade pasta, house-baked breads, and Neapolitan-style pizzas fired in a traditional wood-burning oven. The restaurant embraces Italian comfort cooking, with dishes like crispy calamari with lemon aioli, a heaping bowl of pappardelle in veal ragu with sheep's milk ricotta, and pan-roasted branzino over eggplant puree. Holsteins Arts District
Over-the-top burger and milkshake restaurant Holsteins is back — but this time, off-Strip. Holsteins Shakes and Buns closed its doors at the Cosmopolitan in May 2024, ending a 15-year run, before reopening in the Arts District on May 29, 2025. Fans of the restaurant will be pleased to see a return of the original menu, including the forager burger, made with a beef-and-mushroom blended patty, creamy steak sauce, a fried egg, Swiss cheese, and marmalade onions, as well as the blackened chicken sandwich layered with bacon, chipotle ranch, and pepperjack cheese. Diners can also find Holsteins' decadent 'Bam-Boozled' milkshakes: boozy concoctions like a cookies-and-cream shake spiked with whipped cream-flavored vodka, and a Nutella and coffee shake with chocolate ice cream. Each one comes piled high with doughnuts, cookies, and marshmallows. Bobae Noodle House Chinatown
Bobae Noodle House earned a following in Korea for its signature dishes and now brings its take on Korean-Chinese comfort food to Las Vegas's Chinatown. The vibe is retro and cozy, with brick walls and neon signs glowing above diner-style red booths. The menu riffs on classics with standouts like the Bobae jjajangmyeon — chewy noodles slicked with rich black bean sauce, topped with quail egg and crunchy radish sprouts — and the jjamppong, a fiery seafood noodle soup that balances heat, brine, and depth. The tangsuyuk, a crispy pork dish glazed in sweet-and-sour sauce, also deserves a spot in the rotation. For late-night noodles, Bobae stays open until 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. The Naughty Angel Strip-adjacent
Just behind the Strip, chef Angel Lopez — an alum of Hell's Kitchen, Sadelle's at Bellagio, and Elio at Wynn — has opened his first solo project: the Naughty Angel. The sleek, French bistro-style restaurant blends fine dining polish with neighborhood energy, offering a menu anchored by Lopez's flair for rich sauces and balanced plating. Highlights include the 32-ounce picanha steak, a seared duck breast with potatoes au gratin and pepper aioli, and a slow-braised lamb shank in red wine. Baked escargot and crab cakes in lemon beurre blanc set the tone up front, while desserts lean classic-with-a-twist — like a whole poached apple in mulled wine with pie-spiced ice cream. Tucked into a low-slung plaza just west of Resorts World, the Naughty Angel feels removed from the chaos of the Strip, but still within striking distance for a night out. Blue Orchid Thai Kitchen Southwest
Blue Orchid Thai Kitchen is the latest venture from the family behind Las Vegas's Pin Kaow Thai Restaurant. Executive chef Steve Piamchuntar leads the kitchen with a menu that blends flavors from both north and south Thailand. Blue Orchid marries bold flavors with bold presentations — an aromatic and herbaceous tom yum soup is prepared at the table using a siphon that dramatically drains a broth filled with herbs and spices.
The menu features dishes like braised short rib khao soi, a northern-style curry served with wide egg noodles, pickled mustard greens, and red onion. Other notable offerings are the panang curry-style lamb chop with eggplant, bamboo shoots, and baby corn in coconut red curry, and the Bangkok brined chicken sliders topped with fermented red curry pickles and Kewpie mayo. The setting is nearly transportive, with hanging foliage, intricate murals of Thai landscapes nestled into booth alcoves, and a display of traditional Khon masks.

Hot Dog Icon Earle's to Open New Location on Venice Beach Boardwalk

South Los Angeles's most notable hot dog maker, Earle's on Crenshaw, is experiencing a homecoming. After operating for eight years on a prominent stretch of Leimert Park, a tipster noted a new sign for Earle's on the Venice Beach Boardwalk next door to the three-month-old Marathon Burgers. Longtime fans know that brothers Duane and Cary Earle started serving hot dogs out of a cart in Venice Beach in 1986, a Southern California neighborhood that used to, until recent decades, have a large Black population. They shifted into a brick-and-mortar location on Crenshaw in 1992 for 16 years, then relocated to Crenshaw and Exposition as Earle's Grill. In 2017, the Earles moved into the current location in Crenshaw Square, where Earle's on Crenshaw became the permanent name. Eater reached out to Earle's to confirm the opening timeline, but has yet to hear back. King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain Spend Greek Holiday in Another Royal Family's Residence: Report

The royals are reportedly having a private family getaway with their teenage daughtersNEED TO KNOW King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain are reportedly vacationing with their daughters, Princess Leonor and Princess Sofia, in southern Greece It is believed the family is staying at a residence owned by other European royals: King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands HOLA! reports that the private Greek getaway is the family's time to disconnect after making a more formal vacation appearance in MallorcaKing Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain are reportedly having a private family getaway — and using their royal connections for their accommodations. The royal couple and their daughters, Princess Leonor, 19, and Princess Sofia, 18, are said to be vacationing in southern Greece. HOLA! reported that the Spanish royal family's Falcon aircraft flew from Spain to Athens last week, hinting at a royal getaway. It's thought that the foursome may be staying at a residence owned by King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands. The private property in the Peloponnese region includes a tennis court, a swimming pool, a private beach and an exclusive harbour — perfect for the Spanish King, who loves to sail. Prior to their Greek getaway, the royal family spent time in Mallorca, their traditional summer holiday destination. They hosted a dinner at the Marivent Palace in Palma de Mallorca and attended an exhibition by the artist Joan Miro in La Lonja. However, Andrea Caamano, HELLO!'s Digital Content Director reported that King Felipe, Queen Letizia and their daughters were then looking for a more private getaway, as Mallorca is "very open to the media and the public." "Their vacation in Greece is their real time away from the spotlight, it's ultra-private and where the royals can truly disconnect. They have a warm relationship with the Dutch royals, and have previously stayed at King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima's Greek abode, so it's no surprise that they have chosen to travel there again this year," Caamano said. The two royal families share several special connections. King Felipe's mother, Queen Sofia, was born in Athens as Princess Sofia of Greece and Denmark. She renounced her Greek titles when she converted to Catholicism to marry then-Infante Juan Carlos of Spain in 1962. Additionally, the Spanish royal family helped host King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima's eldest daughter, Princess Catharina-Amalia, 21, when she studied abroad for a year in Madrid after receiving kidnapping threats at the University of Amsterdam in 2022. Last year, the Dutch King shared his gratitude towards the Spanish royal family for helping his daughter and heir maintain her studies during the tumultuous time. "This was made possible by the kind efforts of many of your compatriots and yourselves. A touching demonstration of friendship at a difficult time. I'd like to express my heartfelt thanks to you and everyone else who helped arrange this," he said during a banquet welcoming the Spanish King and Queen on an official visit. The summer break comes as Princess Leonor is currently in the midst of a three-year military training program as she prepares to follow in her father's footsteps. On July 16, during a ceremony at Escuela Naval in Pontevedra, Spain, the King promoted his daughter to the rank of Midshipman of 2nd grade and awarded her the Grand Cross of Naval Merit. Befitting her status as the future commander of Spain's armed forces, the Princess of Asturias wore a white naval uniform for the ceremony, standing side-by-side with her father. Next up, Leonor will complete her third and final year of training at the Air Force Academy in San Javier, Murcia. Read the original article on People

MGK Got Songwriting Assist From Ex Megan Fox on ‘Lost Americana' Track About the Most Tragic Love Story of All Time

MGK and Megan Fox may no longer be engaged, but former 'twin flame' couple are still making beautiful music together. Just check the songwriting credits for rapper-turned-pop-punk-rocker Kelly, whose new album, Lost Americana, features a track titled 'Orpheus' credited to co-writers Kelly and Fox. The gentle piano and strings ballad opens with MGK sighing, 'We grew a tree back in the garden/ With a celestial seed that fell down to us from the stars/ The sun rose high and killed our shadows/ There's more to see under the light than in the dark.' The lyrics allude to the tragic Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice via lines about an undying love that cannot be. More from Billboard MGK Says Ex-Fiancée Megan Fox Was 'Fuming' After He Got Praise For Just Holding Newborn Saga Blade: 'She Does All the Work' Selena Gomez Reveals Which Old Song She Wants to Re-Record and Perform Again Justin Bieber Shares Sweet Father-Son Moment With 11-Month-Old Son Jack Blues 'Somewhere in a different realm, we're still together/ Somehow, I'll find my way to you again/ Shipwrecked, but I hold hopes of buried treasure,' MGK sings on the song in which he vows, 'I won't let you love me, but I can't let you leave me/ It's a tragedy, and we've all seen that scene.' In the Greek myth, musician Orpheus loses wife Eurydice to a snake bite and travels to the underworld to plead with Hades for her return. The god of the depths offers to let Eurydice return to life if Orpheus agrees not to look back at her until they're both above ground again. When his anxiety about their return overwhelms him, Orpheus looks back and loses Eurydice forever. Similarly, the song that appears to chronicle the on-and-off couple's tumultuous, drama-filled love affair, which seemingly ended for good when they split just before Fox gave birth to their daughter, Saga Blade, in March of this year. It also seems to be a call back to the poem 'Prove it, Orpheus' from Fox's 2023 book of poems Pretty Boys Are Poisonous, which fans at the time suspected was about the singer. In it, she wrote, 'And when they ask you what is your biggest regret/ Don't writ it in a song/ Cut yourself open and write it in blood.' The 'celestial seed' reference in the song also seems like a call-back to a mini-controversy that erupted around the time of the baby's birth when MGK announced the good news by writing, 'She's finally here!! our little celestial seed.' Kelly later clarified that of course they didn't name their daughter Celestial Seed, but it's unclear at this point if the song writing preceded the tweet or if Kelly leaned into the misunderstanding on the track as a wink. At press time it was also unclear if the former couple worked on the song together, or if Fox's songwriting credit is tied to her earlier poem; a spokesperson for Kelly had not returned a request for clarification on the credit at press time. The majority of the songs on the album were written solely by Kelly or Kelly with Emma Rosen, or the pair with LP co-producer Nick Long. However, Third Eye Blind's Stephan Jenkins gets a co-writing credit on 'Starman,' which interpolates the entire chorus to 3EB's breakout 1997 single, 'Semi-Charmed Life.' MGK has been on a full-court press blitz for Lost Americana, with his hometown of Cleveland preparing to celebrate its favorite son with the annual MGK Day celebration this weekend. Events from Friday through Sunday (Aug. 8-10) include the XXCon gathering at Jacobs Pavilion featuring an acoustic performance, DJ set from Emo Night Brooklyn and a celebration of the album tonight. The party will continue on Saturday with a Now That's What I Call Brunch party with music by Bobby Booshay, a street league skateboard takeover and a bar crawl. Sunday will kick off with a Harley-Davidson city ride ending at the MGK Day Community and Arts Festival and celebrity basketball game; click here for the full roster of events.
