Patriots Legend Rob Gronkowski Tees Off On Bill Belichick After Report
Rob Gronkowski is not exactly one to take the moral when it comes to dating women, as the future Hall of Fame tight end was known as quite the party-boy back in his playing days for the New England Patriots.
However, after the seemingly unending news cycle concerning his former coach, Bill Belichick, and Belichick's new paramour, Jordon Hudson, even Gronk felt comfortable to chip in.

Speaking to radio hosts Fred Toucher and Rob Hardy of the "Toucher and Hardy" on 985 The Sports Hub, Gronkowski revealed his thoughts on the latest updates in the Belichick/Hudson saga, after reports that Hudson had been barred from the UNC football practice facility, something that UNC subsequently denied.

After being asked whether the 4 x All-Pro found the situation funny, Gronkowski replied, "It is, you know. And back of your head too you're just thinking to yourself as well: when you were on the Patriots, the whole goal was to eliminate all the distractions that can possibly happen while you are on the team."
"And don't bring those distractions to the team and in the locker room. And we're just looking down at the program in North Carolina and it feels like there are just distractions 24-7 down there; there is no football talk as well."

The 4 x Super Bowl champion also noted that he was looking forward to football season and watching how the team played when they get on the field for real in August.
As for Belichick, if you are getting clowned by Gronkowski - even jokingly, things are probably not looking good.

Commanders' 'Best Offseason Move' Low-Hanging Fruit
Commanders' 'Best Offseason Move' Low-Hanging Fruit originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Washington Commanders weren't the squashbuckling team that added a host of free agents and had over 10 draft picks this offseason, but that doesn't mean it wasn't productive. Advertisement In fact, one could argue that this offseason was better than the one 12 months ago. Granted, that is in the eye of the beholder, and the roster is in a different spot than a year ago. But with only two big moves made, with Deebo Samuel and Laremy Tunsil traded for to fill two key offensive positions, finding Washington's best piece of business isn't too hard. CBS Sports has landed on the trade for Samuel. "Is Samuel a durable game-breaker going on 30? Maybe," CBS Sports wrote. "Maybe not. Still, Washington added the former 49ers star for a single fifth-round pick. That's a potential steal given his fit as a rugged multipurpose weapon opposite the field-stretching Terry McLaurin. It's just nice to see this team isn't sitting on its hands with the dynamic Jayden Daniels under center." Washington, District of Columbia, USA; Washington Commanders wide receiver Deebo Samuels (L) and Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels (R) wave to the crowd from courts wide during the game between the Washington Mystics and Atlanta Dream at CareFirst Arena. Geoff Burke-Imagn Images What Deebo could do for an offense that was equally as dangerous running or passing the football last season is tantalizing. Advertisement As a runner, Samuel can be the power-packed weapon who can pick up tough yards, but also break the odd 20+ yard run. As a receiver, his YAC ability is something that causes defensive coordinators to have sleepless nights due to his tough running style and ability to stand up in tackles and fall forward for extra yards, a notable feature. Yes, Tunsil will protect Daniels better than Brandon Coleman, but Deebo will be where all the eyes are in 2025 as he could be the lightning rod that propels this team to Super Bowl glory. Lions Receiving Strong Interest From Veteran Pass Rusher
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Dan Campbell and the Detroit Lions were the best team in the NFL during the 2024 season. However, they were unable to win a game in the playoffs. After compiling a 15-2 record throughout the regular season, the Lions were quickly defeated at home by the red-hot Washington Commanders in the Divisional round of the playoffs. That loss has sat with them all offseason. Despite the pain of the loss, Detroit is expected to be one of the top Super Bowl contenders in the league again in 2025. They also have key players, such as Aidan Hutchinson, back from injuries that knocked them out before the playoffs. One area of need could be the pass rush, especially to protect from potential injuries like the team dealt with last year. Keeping that in mind, Za'Darius Smith, who is currently a free agent, has shown major interest in returning to Detroit. Of course, he was acquired from the Cleveland Browns ahead of the trade deadline last year and finished the season with the Lions. During a recent interview with USA Today, Smith made it clear where he wants to play. "We both know where I want to be," Smith said. "Hopefully, I can get back to Detroit because the coaching staff and everybody in the front office are great. When I'm there, I feel like a leader and like I can influence the young guys and do great things. Hopefully, I can get back to where I want to be in Detroit." Smith also talked about how he thinks he could help Hutchinson continue improving. Read more: Lions Trade Idea Would Land Shedeur Sanders From Browns "I'm still a veteran. He's still a young guy. I can help him with many things. He's already great, but as a player, there are some tools that I know that I can help him with," Smith said. "And there are some things as a young guy that he can help me with." Most of this situation will depend on the financial aspect of it. Smith may need to take a discount if he wants to play in Detroit. This vocal interest from Smith in the Lions could hint at a willingness to take less to play for the franchise. Only time will tell, but this is a potential fit to watch for Detroit. For more Detroit Lions and NFL news, head over to Newsweek Sports.

Tampa Bay land different edge rusher in PFF's 2011 NFL re-draft
Tampa Bay land different edge rusher in PFF's 2011 NFL re-draft PFF has been running a summer series for several weeks now, and they have gone back and re-drafted several classes from the NFL Draft. Next up for them is the 2011 NFL Draft, which produced several Hall of Famers and will be remembered as one of the best classes of this generation. The class was, of course, led by a pain in the neck for Bucs fans, Cam Newton, as he was selected number one overall by the Carolina Panthers. The Bucs saw another division rival land a legend in Julio Jones going to the Atlanta Falcons when they traded up for him by giving up a large package of picks to the Cleveland Browns. As for the Bucs, they stayed put and drafted a reliable pass rusher in Adrian Clayborn. In the re-draft, they land another pass rusher in Super Bowl champion, Jabaal Sheard. The Browns initially drafted Sheard in the second round with the 37th overall pick. He was traded to the Patriots, where he won a Super Bowl with them. He then hopped around the league before retiring after the 2021 season. Sheard finished his career with 407 tackles and 53 sacks, while Clayborn finished his career with 208 tackles and 40 sacks. Two different types of edge rushers, but one had a bit more production and could have been fun to watch in pewter.
