Viral Aberdeen Oasis fan tells all after Murrayfield TikTok performance: 'That's just what I'm like at gigs'

Viral Aberdeen Oasis fan Ryan Haxton has racked up hundreds of thousands of views for his 'biblical' performance at Murrayfield.
His impassioned tribute to the Mancunian rock legends captured the imagination of the Edinburgh crowds, and even the eye of frontman Liam Gallagher at the weekend.
A video showing him jumping, fist-pumping, running and even star-fishing along to Oasis favourites in front of thousands has shot him to internet fame in recent days.
But speaking to The Press and Journal today, he told us 'that's just what I'm like at gigs'.
Offshore oil and gas worker Ryan admitted to us that the day after that he was feeling 'mortified' by his performance.
But seeing thousands of comments of support and receiving the 'biblical' stamp of approval from Liam has made him feel a good deal better.
The dad-of-one from Cove has been batting away 'loads' of media requests in the wake of the viral video.
But speaking to the The P&J, he sat down to fully explain the events leading up to that now iconic moment.
Ryan hinted that a pre-gig open bar at hospitality may have had something to do with it!
He said: 'My wife and I happened to have hospitality tickets. So we were in like three or four hours before the start of the gig.
'We took full advantage of the open bar.
'We actually had seated tickets included with the hospitality.
'How we managed to get into that standing area with nobody stopping us, I do not know.
'To be honest I remember very, very little.
'I just remember going through the stand, going to get a drink, and I just came out.
'I'd obviously used the wrong stairs, but there was nobody in front of us, so I was like, 'I'm just going to try and see where this goes'.
'I had a great view, and I was on my own.
'With the songs that were on, I just started dancing.
'There was no rhyme or reason to any dance moves or anything that I was doing.
'It was just kind of part of the moment.'
Ryan has been left shocked by the reaction.
He said: 'I'm not really on social media, but my wife commented on the post and she's been getting all the messages from the radio and folk wanting to do interviews and stuff.
'To be totally honest with you, I just thought it was all a bit embarrassing.
'The reaction has been a bit mad.
'But it's pretty cool that Liam Gallagher has reshared it and commented and everything.
'That was a bit mad. But pretty cool at the same time.
'He actually posted the video – and then there was the quote that he put on it as well.
'Just amazing.'
Ryan has been a fan of Oasis since his first album '(What's the Story) Morning Glory?' was gifted to him by his father.
Despite his excitement over the band's comeback, Ryan's performance is nothing new according to him.
He continued: 'I'm kind of like that at all gigs that I go to, to be honest.
'There was such excitement, what with the band being away for so long and then coming back.
'The last time I saw them was when they were on their tour in 2009.
'It's just the case of seeing yourself on video. I never like watching or hearing myself back.
'But, I'm sure there's worse things to happen to people on video.'
Ryan also revealed that the fame from the video has followed him outside of TikTok.
Co-workers on his offshore oil platform appear to have gotten word of his exploits.
He added: 'I believe the news has gotten offshore.
'All of the other guys I'm sure are having a rare time with it.
'My manager has even phoned me up, asking if I was at the Oasis gig – which made me a but nervous.
'But it was just to say radio stations and the like have been phoning up trying to get a hold of me.
'I'm sure it will be interesting going back, but it is what it is.'

No, there's no plans for any new music." But Liam later hit out at the comments while replying to a fan on X, as he fumed: "Neither do I and the only people that will be making any kind of decisions on the future of OASIS will be ME n RKID [Noel] so let's just take it one day at a time."

Oasis ‘scam' probe launched as Scots mum accused of selling fake tickets for hundreds of pounds

Police are investigating allegations that Colleen Ross, 37, of Wallyford, East Lothian, failed to deliver gold-dust Murrayfield briefs to dozens of desperate music lovers. The pair, from Derby, paid a £100 deposit to the holistic therapist before heading north for last Friday's mega-gig at Murrayfield. But on arrival the night before, they were told there had been a 'mess-up' over transferring tickets. Teacher Nikki said: 'Ross claimed they were still 'pending' and she was sorry. I ended up having to fork out £650 to secure two tickets from the viagogo resale site. 'The concert was a present for my husband's birthday and I didn't want to let him down.' But Nikki described the shambles as a 'sh** scam'. She got her £100 deposit refunded days later. But her story is one of dozens linked to Ross. Cops are probing complaints from Oasis fans who claim they sent cash to her for briefs that never arrived. Karen Alderton, 39, said she paid £300 for two tickets to one of the band's sell-out shows to surprise her daughter on her 18th birthday. The mum of three, from Bonnyrigg, Midlothian, told The Scottish Sun: 'I've known Colleen for about eight years. I trusted her. 'She advertised the Oasis ones on Snapchat, saying she was selling her daughter's tickets because she wanted to go on holiday instead. I told her I'd buy them. But I started seeing stuff online about her. So I sent a message, asking when the tickets would be transferred. Dad who plunged to his death 'from top tier' of Wembley Oasis gig is pictured - as family pay tribute to 'role model' 'She totally bit my head off. She said she was still waiting and would send them as soon as she got them. 'I told her to send my refund or I'd go to her house. I got the money back. But I had to pay £1,100 for two Oasis tickets on a resale site.' There was no answer at Ross's detached home today. Neighbours said she hadn't been seen for several days. Karen added: 'I got my cash back but everybody else needs to get it. 'Another parent told me how her daughter tried to get in at Murrayfield on Saturday with a screenshot of a ticket from Colleen. But it didn't work. She has to stop what she's doing.' Darrah Fielding, 26, a student from Glasgow, paid Ross £280 for two briefs that never appeared. She also got the cash refunded but had to spend £500 on viagogo to get to the concert. Mum-of-one Darrah recalled: 'She was extremely convincing and seemed genuine. But she has let people down and caused chaos. She's a cheeky moneygrabber and should be ashamed of herself.' Many fans went online to tell of their dealings with Ross. David, 42, from Falkirk, sent her £140 for a standing ticket for Friday's show by the rockers, who released the 1998 compilation album The Masterplan. He said: 'She contacted me after I put a message on a site in July. 'Later, she said she was going into hospital and would send the tickets two to three days before the concert. 'I knew something was up. I paid £260 for one from elsewhere. 'Then I found out hundreds of people making similar claims. She has broken a lot of hearts. She sent me the refund but many others missed out.' Some went on to social media to warn other fans. One said: 'Got properly done by that Colleen Ross. Ruined my weekend.' A third warned: 'She's scammed people out of thousands.' Police Scotland said: 'We received a report of fraud in the Edinburgh area. Enquiries are at an early stage.'

But before the song began he said into the mic: "This one's for Susan Boyle." And Subo, 63, was quick to respond to the music legend's tribute by breaking out her best bucket hat. She posed with the iconic headgear featuring a picture of Gallagher featuring the title of his solo hit song and album "Why me? Why not?" Susan also donned a black Oasis t-shirt and threw two thumbs up as she grinned ear-to-ear in the post on her Instagram page. The star wrote: "Thanks so much for the dedication Liam Gallagher. "You've made this old girl's day." She even made a reference to The Poznan, where fans turn their backs to the stage, place their arms around each other and jump up and down. It started in the Polish city it is named after but became a favourite of Manchester City fans - the club supported by Liam and Noel. Oasis fans took on the trend and now do it when the band performs their hit tune Cigarettes and Alcohol. Joyous moment Scots schoolgirl dances to favourite Oasis song outside packed Murrayfield gig Susan even hinted she would be heading to see the band when they return to Wembley Stadium for their sold out shows in September. She added: "Hope to see you and the rest of Oasis at Wembley in September for a wee bit of Poznań "Big love to you all." Oasis have just ended their absolutely epic three gig run in Edinburgh. Around 210,000 ecstatic fans rocked Murrayfield stadium when the reunion tour came to Scotland. The trio of sold out performances even set a record for the most SEISMIC performance at the venue in 20 years. While Liam had kind words for Susan, he had a different message for Edinburgh Council. He took three brutal swipes at local authority chiefs during the shows - one at each gig. The legendary rocker was left furious at council chiefs after they branded Oasis fans 'drunk', 'lairy', 'fat' and 'old' in secret safety briefings. Officials claimed that the concert-goers would be mainly 'rowdy' 'middle-aged men' who 'take up more room' and will drink to 'medium to high intoxication'. Liam has called out snooty Edinburgh council officials over their remarks on several occasions.
