Cam Newton slams Shedeur Sanders over reckless speeding, warns NFL rookies of life-threatening choices

Former NFL MVP Cam Newton didn't hold back when addressing Shedeur Sanders' recent string of speeding violations. Sanders, the Cleveland Browns' rookie quarterback, received two tickets in June—first for driving 91 mph in a 65 mph zone, and then, shockingly, just days later for going 101 mph in a 60 mph zone.
The second violation reportedly happened during rookie orientation, drawing even more scrutiny.
Cam Newton speaks from experience as he blasts Shedeur Sanders for dangerous driving
Sanders owned up to his actions, admitting, 'I made some not great choices. I learn from them.' But Newton, on his 4th & 1 podcast, went further—calling the behavior reckless and addressing it as a serious cautionary tale for all young athletes.
'You can't pay your way out when the Grim Reaper shows up' — Newton's emotional warning

Newton's concern wasn't performative.
He shared his own harrowing story of being involved in a car crash earlier this year, which shook him deeply. 'Driving a hundred? I've done that, bro,' Newton admitted. 'Going 101? That's extremely dangerous. You can't pay your way when you're trying to negotiate with the Grim Reaper.'
Speaking directly to young players like Shedeur, he emphasized the value of life over luxury: 'I see a Rolls Royce, I see a Ferrari, I see a Bentley… but right now, I don't value those things.

Shilo Sanders trolls his brother as fans split over reaction
Adding a lighter twist to a serious situation, Shedeur's brother, Shilo Sanders, poked fun at the incident in a vlog filmed in Tampa: 'We gotta be careful crossing the street, especially if Shedeur is out here.' Shedeur laughed it off during a Twitch stream, saying, 'The situation wasn't funny, but how he said it was.'
Despite the controversies, the Browns are handling the matter internally and have not issued any formal penalties. Shedeur's reps and depth chart status remain unchanged—for now.

Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappe accuses PSG of 'moral harassment'; legal probe underway
Mbappe left PSG to join Real Madrid ahead of the 2024/25 season (Photo by) France captain Kylian Mbappe has filed a legal complaint accusing former club Paris Saint-Germain of "moral harassment", according to the Paris prosecutor's office, which confirmed on Thursday that an investigation into the matter has been opened. The 26-year-old, who officially joined Real Madrid this summer after a prolific seven-year spell with PSG, is also in a legal tussle with the French champions over unpaid dues. Mbappe is seeking €55 million ($64.4 million) in unpaid wages and bonuses from the club. Mbappe's latest grievance stems from how he was treated during the early stages of the 2023–24 season. According to the complaint, the striker was excluded from the first-team setup and made to train separately with players PSG were actively looking to offload — a move he believes was punitive after he declined to extend his contract with the club. The issue echoes broader concerns about contract-related coercion in football, a topic that has previously drawn attention from the French players' union, which lodged a formal complaint in a similar context last year. He was later reinstated to the first team following talks with the club's hierarchy. The legal action adds another layer of tension to Mbappe's departure from the French capital, where he scored 256 goals in 308 appearances and won numerous domestic titles. Notably, PSG lifted the UEFA Champions League for the first time in their history just weeks after his exit. What India are doing in Birmingham today, practice schedule, plan and more The outcome of the investigation could have significant implications for both Mbappe's claims and the club's management practices, particularly in how high-profile players are treated during contract disputes.
