Prithviraj Sukumaran Backs Ibrahim Ali Khan Amid Trolling For Nadaniyaan: 'Even SRK Faces Criticism'

News1821-07-2025
Prithviraj Sukumaran defends Sarzameen co-actor Ibrahim Ali Khan from Nadaaniyan criticism, saying even legends like Shah Rukh Khan face trolls.
Prithviraj Sukumaran is gearing up for the release of his next film Sarzameen, which also features Kajol and Ibrahim Ali Khan in pivotal roles. While the movie marks a significant milestone in the young star's career, it also arrives on the heels of Ibrahim's much-talked-about OTT debut Nadaaniyan, which received mixed to negative reviews from both critics and audiences earlier this year.
Now, as Ibrahim prepares for his second outing, Prithviraj has come to his co-star's defense. In a candid chat with India Today, the actor addressed the criticism that Ibrahim has been facing since Nadaaniyan.
'See, Ibrahim will be wonderful in this film, but that's not going to put an end to anything," Prithviraj said. 'Hello, if Shah Rukh Khan sir can still be criticised, why can't Ibrahim Ali Khan be criticised? Come on. From where I come from, Mohanlal sir and Mammootty sir are still criticised. There's nothing bigger than that for us to understand that that's never going to end."
He added that the key lies in embracing the journey rather than chasing perfection or public approval. 'You have to just keep trying. I've totally realised that it never gets easier. You think, 'Oh, that one blockbuster,' and then it gets easier? No. It does not. It never gets easier. The idea is that you start really enjoying the grind."
Prithviraj also had glowing praise for the young actor's dedication and preparedness. 'I really think Ibrahim has put in a lot of work for this film. It's really a lot of work from him. And as people already know, the camera really loves him. He is a very, very good-looking boy," he remarked.
A few days prior, Kajol too had voiced her support for Ibrahim and other star kids who often face relentless trolling on social media. In an interview with PTI, she said, 'Today, it's almost like a do-or-die situation for them (star kids), and for this, they're very well prepared. I have to give them that. But we can be a little kinder."
Directed by Kazoye Irani, Sarzameen is slated to release on July 25, 2025, and will premiere on JioHotstar. This marks Ibrahim's second appearance on OTT, and all eyes will be on how the young actor fares in this ambitious project, especially after the critical reception of his debut.

Pamela Anderson Repeats Claim Sylvester Stallone Offered Her Condo, Porsche To Date Him

Last Updated: Appearing on Watch What Happens Live on Sunday, the Baywatch icon stood by her story, originally shared in her 2023 Netflix documentary, Pamela, a Love Story. Pamela Anderson has once again addressed her explosive claim that Sylvester Stallone once offered her a Porsche and a condo in exchange for being his 'No. 1 girl." Appearing on Watch What Happens Live on Sunday, the Baywatch icon stood by her story, originally shared in her 2023 Netflix documentary, Pamela, a Love Story. Host Andy Cohen brought up Stallone's denial of the incident, asking Anderson, 'What do you think about him denying it?" To this, the 58-year-old actress simply replied, 'Well, how could you make that up? That was pretty specific." Cohen then lightened the moment by asking if a different car might have swayed her. 'Maybe like a Shelby Cobra or something?" he joked. Anderson laughed and replied, 'No, no, no, no, no." In Pamela, a Love Story, the actress had claimed, 'I remember talking to Sylvester Stallone one time and he offered me a condo and a Porsche to be his No. 1 girl. And I was like, 'Does that mean there's a No. 2? Uh-uh.' He goes, 'That's the best offer you're gonna get, honey. You're in Hollywood now.'" She added in the film, 'I wanted to really be in love. I didn't want anything less than that." Shortly after the documentary aired, a representative for Stallone denied the story in a statement to PEOPLE, calling Anderson's remarks 'false and fabricated." 'Mr. Stallone confirms that he never made any portion of that statement," the rep asserted. Meanwhile, both stars have moved on in their personal lives. Stallone has been married to model Jennifer Flavin since 1997. Anderson, meanwhile, has sparked romance rumors with her Naked Gun co-star Liam Neeson. Cohen even teased their budding romance on the show, saying, 'All of your friends are very much stanning this relationship, as the kids say." Rubina Dilaik, Abhinav Shukla support Deepika Padukone's 8-hour shift demand; says 'Working hours have to be respectful, everyone should get time to rest'

Actors Rubina Dilaik and husband Abhinav Shukla believe that there is a need to introduce respectful working hours in television. Rubina is a well-known name in the television industry and has been a part of shows such as "Chotti Bahu" and "Saas Bina Sasural". She was also the winner of the popular reality show "Bigg Boss" season 14. While Shukla has featured in shows like "Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka", "Chhoti Bahu" and "Diya Aur Baati Hum". "This (working hours) has been a struggle even when I was new to the industry, but very rarely are we heard. If we voice our concern about it, then it becomes news... But working hours have to be respectful," she told PTI in an interview. The debate around the need for regulated working hours began following reports that Deepika Padukone 's exited Sandeep Reddy Vanga 's film after a disagreement over her demand for an eight-hour shift. Dilaik said there were days when she worked for over 17 hours in the industry. "I'm not saying this because I'm an actor. If I become a producer, I shall ensure that my people work within eight hours. I'll create a system wherein we do meaningful and good work within eight hours, and it's a win-win thing for everyone. "Having said that, I've been working for 17 hours. I'm not saying that the producer or the network should lose money. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Santo Domingo: Unsold Sofas Prices May Surprise You (Prices May Surprise You) Sofas | Search Ads Search Now Undo Everyone should get time to rest because their creativity will flourish. Having said that, Deepika Padukone has not made an unrealistic demand," she added. Shukla said there are many professions that require extra hours but it's wrong if one is forced to do it and doesn't get paid for it. "You cannot bind someone saying, 'You work for eight hours only'. A police officer, a traffic cop or a doctor works for more than 16 to 18 hours, even pilots and our jawans work for long hours. So, till the time it is not being forced, and you're doing it because you've agreed to, then there's no harm in it. If someone forces you and even doesn't pay you, then it's wrong,' he said. Both Dilaik and Shukla are currently starring in "Pati Patni Aur Panga". The reality show features famous couples and it premiered on August 2. Most likely to…' with Rubina Dilaik and Abhinav Shukla
