Noel Gallagher was spotted carrying a hot water bottle as he headed into his rehearsals with Oasis for their upcoming reunion tour.
The singer was joined by Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs, Gem Archer, Andy Bell and Mikey Rowe at a studio in London on Thursday as they set about preparing for the highly-anticipated string of live dates and creating the perfect setlist for fans attending the shows. Noel, 57, has been rehearsing without brother Liam, 52, who for now has jetted off to his South of France getaway.
An insider said: "Noel and Liam are rehearsing separately for now and won't be going into a studio together until next month. Noel spent this past week rehearsing with Bonehead, Gem, Andy and Mikey. They're all total masters of their craft, so it's more about nailing down the finer details and making sure they're all in sync."
The source then explained when fans can expect to see Liam and Noel rehearse together as they continued to The Sun: "Once Noel has finished up, Liam will be coming in to rehearse with the band. The brothers will then get together - it'll be the whole of Oasis then - for a rehearsal or two, and then they'll be ready to go.'
They also touched on Noel's not very rockstar-esque hot water bottle adding: 'Rehearsal days are long and Noel is on his feet for ages - he's got to stay comfortable.'
Reports suggest that Liam and Noel are tactically avoiding being seen together as they want the first image of them post feud to come on July 4 when their tour gets underway at Cardiff's Principality Stadium.
The pair made sure they arrived and departed at separate times when they filmed a new promotional advert for a huge deal with Adidas. They also arrived to London's trendy Nobu Portman Square Hotel for a secret meeting in February, having travelled in separate cars at different times.
The source said: 'Oasis' reunion is a landmark moment in music and that first photograph of them back performing on stage together will go down in history. Noel and Liam want to control that. There's no chance you'll see them together before that day if they can help it.'
Earlier this week we revealed official rehearsals began on Tuesday (May 20). Asked if the band had started rehearsals, Liam said: 'YES and apparently they're sounding EPIC.' He also told another fan there would be 'no themes' on stage, after his last Definitely Maybe solo tour had featured giant sized objects from the album cover.
The band may need some practice as it features one member playing with the Gallagher brothers and Oasis for the first time. Liam and Noel Gallagher are bringing in newcomer Joey Waronker on drums alongside more established former Oasis band members on guitars.
The full line up is expected to be Liam Gallagher, Noel Gallagher, Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs, Gem Archer, Andy Bell and Joey Waronker. Joey has played on a tour with Liam before when he did live gigs with John Squire to promote and album they made.
Noel and Liam will walk on stage for the first time together since the band split in 2009. The shows will also feature special guests Richard Ashcroft and Cast, who are friends up the band.
