‘Gen V' Season 2 teaser: Hamish Linklater joins cast as first look adresses Chance Perdomo's death
Amazon has officially announced the return of Gen V, its college-set spinoff of The Boys, with Season 2 set to premiere on September 17, 2025. The season will begin with a three-episode drop, followed by weekly releases every Wednesday, leading up to the finale on October 22.
Along with the premiere date, Amazon released the first teaser trailer, which addresses the real-life death of cast member Chance Perdomo, who played Andre Anderson. Perdomo died in a motorcycle accident in March 2024. In a statement following his passing, Amazon confirmed that the role would not be recast and that the story for Season 2 had been restructured to reflect his absence.
The new trailer offers a glimpse of how the show will acknowledge Perdomo's character. It features a scene with Andre's father, Polarity, confronting the new Godolkin University Dean, Cipher (Hamish Linklater), over his son's disappearance, suggesting that Vought may be hiding the truth about what happened to Andre at the end of Season 1.

Season 2 picks up with America adapting to Homelander's increasing dominance. At Godolkin University, Dean Cipher introduces a new curriculum aimed at making students more powerful, while tensions escalate between humans and Supes. Cate and Sam return as celebrated figures, while Marie, Jordan, and Emma come back to campus still reeling from the traumatic events of the previous season. A hidden program tied to the university's origins emerges, pulling Marie deeper into a mystery with far-reaching consequences.
Returning cast members include Jaz Sinclair, Lizze Broadway, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, Asa Germann, and Sean Patrick Thomas. Gen V was co-created by Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters, with Fazekas serving as showrunner and executive producer alongside The Boys team, including Eric Kripke and Seth Rogen.
The new season continues production under Sony Pictures Television and Amazon Studios.

Three friends, one uncertain future: Amazon MX Player unveils heartfelt drama Lafangey
Amazon MX Player has released the trailer for its latest original series, Lafangey, a grounded and emotionally rich drama that charts the unpredictable paths of friendship, ambition, and adulthood. Set to premiere on 6th June, the series will stream for free across all Amazon MX Player platforms. Directed by Prem Mistry and written by Abhishhek Yadav, Lafangey follows the intertwined lives of Chaitanya, Rohan, and Kamlesh — three inseparable childhood friends now facing the sobering complexities of adult life. With their dreams in sight but their realities catching up, the trio must confront questions of identity, responsibility, and loyalty, all while trying to hold onto the bond that once defined them. Set in the heart of Noida, the series explores themes many young Indians will find familiar: career anxiety, societal pressure, romantic confusion, and the emotional weight of expectation. The cast features Anud Singh Dhaka, Gagan Arora, and Harsh Beniwal in lead roles, alongside Barkha Singh and Salonnay Gaur. The newly released trailer paints a vibrant, at times chaotic, picture of young adulthood. Chaitanya faces a deep personal conflict as he struggles to choose between fulfilling his own ambitions and living up to his family's hopes. Rohan wrestles with love and financial instability, while Kamlesh, the dreamer of the group, chases a career in entertainment against all odds. Their stories are marked by laughter, heartbreak, and the constant push-and-pull between idealism and reality. Speaking about the show, Amogh Dusad, Head of Content at Amazon MX Player, said, 'Lafangey reflects the messy beauty of growing up — when you're figuring out who you are while trying not to lose the people who matter. We wanted to create something honest, entertaining, and deeply relatable.' Director Prem Mistry echoed the sentiment, adding, 'This series is about every young person trying to forge their own path in a world that doesn't always make space for dreams. It's raw, real, and made with a lot of heart.' The cast also shared their personal connection to the story. Gagan Arora, who plays Rohan, described his character as someone 'constantly torn between his own desires and the life others expect him to lead.' Harsh Beniwal, portraying Kamlesh, said, 'Kamlesh is a dreamer, sure, but also someone who's learning what it means to take life seriously — even when he doesn't want to.' Barkha Singh, who plays Ishita, Rohan's love interest, added, 'Ishita is ambitious, driven, and complex. Her relationship with Rohan isn't a simple love story — it's about two people trying to grow in different directions without growing apart.' Lafangey will be available to stream free of charge from 6th June on Amazon MX Player via its mobile app, Amazon shopping app, Prime Video, Fire TV, and connected smart TVs. Watch the trailer here:

Jenna Ortega Just Made The White T-Shirt Dress A Summer Must-Have
With Wednesday Season 2 officially making its way back to Netflix, Jenna Ortega has become the talk of the town yet again. While her on-screen goth-girl charm has already become iconic, it is the actress' off-screen fashion game that keeps us totally obsessed. On Sunday, Jenna Ortega dropped a fresh set of photos on Instagram, and within minutes, the fashion world went into a total meltdown. Posing effortlessly on a forklift (yes, really), Jenna turned industrial chaos into a full-on fashion runway. The photoshoot was bold, playful and totally Jenna. The fashion icon rocked an oversized white graphic t-shirt dress that screamed effortless cool. The oversized dress featured a vintage-style 'Crumb' comic print. The fit was loose, breezy and perfect for the summer season. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Jenna Ortega (@jennaortega) To add an unexpected twist, Jenna Ortega paired the dress with sheer black tights, which gave the look a sultry edge. And let us talk about the choice of footwear – pointed-toe cream heels with a satin finish added just the right amount of polish and contrast to her relaxed fit. She wore her shoulder-length hair in soft vintage waves with a dramatic curl at the front. Her makeup was glowy and bronzed, with warm undertones, a nude lip and soft contouring that enhanced her natural features. Jenna Ortega completed the look with black oval sunglasses and a pair of tiny stud earrings that were low-key but luxe. A classic iced drink in hand added a cool-girl touch, and the entire setup (yes, even the forklift) felt like a rebellious take on street-chic. This look is everything your summer wardrobe needs – easy, breathable, bold and totally statement-making. Whether you are headed to a casual hangout or just trying to beat the heat with style, oversized dresses and soft glam are clearly the move. Oh, and for those count down – Wednesday Season 2 will hit Netflix in two parts. Part 1 drops on August 6, and Part 2 arrives on September 3. Mark your calendars, because Jenna Ortega is just getting started.
