Bracebridge man's disappearance 2 years ago remains a mystery with no new leads
Mystery surrounds the disappearance of a Bracebridge man who vanished two years ago.
Daniel Holden was initially reported missing on Sept. 12, 2023. Police say he was last seen one month earlier on August 12.
His partner of four years, Christy Stengel, told CTV News in an interview just months after his disapperance he had gone to Bracebridge to gather some clothing from his apartment. 'And it didn't happen that way,' she said.
Stengel said Holden may have gone to Casino Rama in Orillia, but police have not confirmed those details.

Months later, in February 2024, in another interview with CTV News about his disappearance, Stengel told CTV News Holden had gone to Toronto to gather some belongings and never returned. 'This is out of his character,' she said. "'I fear the worst because this is not his style."
Investigators believe he was last in the area of Southwood Road in Gravenhurst on Aug. 12, 2023.
CTV News reached out to Ontario Provincial Police on Wednesday for an update on the case but was told there were no new leads.
Holden, described as five feet six inches tall, with short black hair, was last seen wearing a black sweater with white stripes on the sleeves and black pants.
He was known to drive a gold 2022 Mazda MPV minivan with the licence plate CKXC268.

Anyone with information on Holden's whereabouts or the location of his vehicle is asked to contact Bracebridge OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

Police say a 16-year-old and two 18-year-olds from Moonbeam, as well as a 20-year-old from Kapuskasing, were pronounced dead on scene. Read More OPP did not release their names. The communities of Moonbeam and Kapuskasing say they are mourning the loss of their young residents. They say officers consulted with forensic experts and a coroner and returned to the scene on Friday to begin a detailed investigation. Credit cards, cash and bank cards taken during vehicle break-ins in Paris, Ont.

Investigators said two vehicles, a black Dodge Ram pickup truck and a white Jeep, were broken into in the Churchill Drive area of Paris, Ont. on Aug. 7 around 3:15 a.m. Police are asking people living in the area to check their security footage for anything suspicious. Anyone with more information is urged to contact with Brant County Ontario Provincial Police.
