Nebraska still in the running for class of 2026 four-star athlete

Nebraska football made the cut for four-star athlete in the class of 2026. Nasir Rankin announced his top 11 list on Saturday. Duke, Kansas State, Illinois, USC, Oregon,Michigan, Ole Miss, Wisconsin, North Carolina and Northwestern all made the list in addition to Nebraska.
Rankin is the 20th overall athlete in the 2026 class and the seventh overall athlete from the state of Illinois per the 247Sports Composite Rankings. He has one prediction for Illinois in the 247Sports Crystal Ball.
He had 40 catches for 991 yards and 12 touchdowns last season for Morgan Park High School, according to statistics from MaxPreps.com.
The 2026 Nebraska recruiting class ranks 34th overall in the country, per the 247Sports Team Rankings. They have three commitments in the class overall.
The Huskers still have a lot of work to do in this recruitment, as they will have to battle with some big-time schools. Nevertheless, the Huskers have done a nice job of closing recruitments before, and it will be interesting to see how they do here.
