Katy Perry Gets Emotional Over Split With Orlando Bloom At Inglewood Concert
Katy Perry opened up about her current emotional state to the crowd at her Inglewood concert following her split with long-time partner Orlando Bloom. On Tuesday, July 15, the One That Got Away crooner appeared to acknowledge her breakup with Bloom while fulfilling a fan request.
At Perry's Inglewood, California, concert, fans requested her to sing Not Like the Movies, a song she wrote after her first divorce. As per PEOPLE reports, Perry opened up about her current emotional state before playing the song. 'You are going to make me sing this song at this time in my life?" Perry questioned the crowd and stated, 'Okay, we'll do it! Because you voted for it." Before letting her fans choose a song, she added context to the process. 'I let you choose the song tonight because I like to pick an album for every country that I go to," Perry said, revealing that for the audience in the USA, she picked Teenage Dream because, according to her, the country could be a teenage dream. 'U.S.A., you better get it together. I will always have that feeling for you," she stated.
Before launching into the ballad, Perry reflected on the origin of Not Like the Movies and revealed she wrote this song in her 20s after her first divorce from Russell Brand in 2012. 'I will try and hold my composure while I sing it a week before my period," she joked. Despite being humorous, her remarks hinted at her current state of mind. While she did not mention her former partner Orlando Bloom directly, her subtle remarks and song choices hinted at her recent breakup.
According to US Weekly reports, in June Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom broke their engagement after dating for nearly a decade. The couple first got into a relationship in 2016 for a brief period, ending it in 2017 before reuniting in 2018. The next year Bloom proposed to Perry, and the couple shared a daughter together named Daisy. As per US Weekly sources, despite breaking up, Bloom and Katy are amicable and remain in regular contact, as they are currently focused on co-parenting their daughter.

New Delhi, Jul 29 (PTI) Bollywood actor Mallika Sherawat said she won't be a part of the upcoming reality show 'Bigg Boss 19" and has no plans to be in it in the future. The 'Murder" actor shared a post on her Instagram story on Monday. Following the rumours around her possible appearance in the show. 'Putting an end to all the rumours, I am NOT doing 'Bigg Boss' and NEVER WILL. THANK YOU," she wrote in the post. The actor has, however, appeared in the show last year for the promotion of the film 'Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video", which released in October 2024. 'Bigg Boss 19" is set to premiere in the late August and is an Indian adaptation of the American show 'Big Brother". The upcoming season was announced by the makers last week and have also introduced the new logo for the show. Sherawat's latest work is 'Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video". Also starring Tripti Dimri, Rajkummar Rao and Vijay Raaz, the film was directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa. It revolved around a freshly married couple, who gets threatened after a CD containing their private clips goes missing. Sherawat essayed the role of Chanda Rani in the film.
