UNC basketball offers rising three-star shooting guard Hubert Davis has extended an offer to another 2026 recruit.
North Carolina basketball head coach Hubert Davis has his eyes on some rising prospects in the 2026 recruiting class, as evident by new offers on Thursday. After the Tar Heels offered a four-star point guard earlier in the day, they also extended an offer to another prospect.
Three-star shooting guard Kohl Rosario was the latest prospect to pick up an offer from UNC, doing so on Thursday night. And the Tar Heels are the latest blue blood program to enter the race.
In a span of three days, Rosario has picked up offers from Kansas, Duke, and now North Carolina after his strong play on the AAU circuit. His stock is on the rise as a prospect coming off a big performance in the Euroleague Basketball Adidas Next Generation Tournament, scoring 30 points in a game.
The 6-foot-5, 185-pound Rosario hails out of Hudson, North Carolina and plays at Moravian Prep. He's ranked No. 120 nationally, the No. 21 shooting guard and No. 5 player in the state of North Carolina per the 247Sports recruiting rankings.
In the composite rankings, he's a four-star recruit and a top 100 prospect. His recent play and the addition of offers from blue blood programs should also see his rank increase over time. For North Carolina, it will be interesting to see how much of a priority they make Rosario moving forward.

Will Steelers OLB T.J. Watt return in Week 2 of OTAs — or is a hold-in inevitable?

Will Steelers OLB T.J. Watt return in Week 2 of OTAs — or is a hold-in inevitable? T.J. Watt missed the first week of Steelers OTAs as contract negotiations continue to muddy the waters in Pittsburgh — but could the former 2021 Defensive Player of the Year return in Week 2 of practices? After no-showing the first three team activities, Watt has three more opportunities to attend in Week 2 — OTAs 4–6 on June 3, 4, and 5, respectively — before many begin to worry that another hold-in is on the way. Back in 2021, Watt staged his infamous hold-in that saw him refuse to participate in team practices until he received a new contract days before the regular season began — and issues surrounding this next extension could get even uglier. While it's wise for Watt to avoid injuring himself before a potential $40 million-plus payday, his teammates — such as C Zach Frazier, OLB Alex Highsmith, and CB Darius Slay Jr. — have spoken volumes about the importance of being at OTAs, even if they're voluntary. Should Watt miss out on Week 2 OTAs, Steelers mandatory minicamp from June 10 to 12 will give some insight into what his negotiation strategy will look like for the rest of the offseason. Oklahoma beats North Carolina to force winner-take-all game Monday

Oklahoma beats North Carolina to force winner-take-all game Monday The UNC baseball team faces a must-win game on Monday. The North Carolina Tar Heels' baseball program will be playing for its season on Monday in Chapel Hill. After entering Sunday's regional final with a 2-0 record, fresh off a big win over Oklahoma, the Tar Heels now face a do-or-die deciding game on Monday after falling to the Sooners 9-5 on Sunday night. North Carolina fell behind in the bottom of the third when Oklahoma took a 1-0 lead. They did battle back to tie the game with a run in the top of the fourth, but the Sooners answered back with a run of their own. The Tar Heels then took the lead in the top of the fifth on a Gavin Gallaher two-out double that plated two runs and gave UNC the 3-2 advantage. It was short lived, however. A few walks and then an error allowed Oklahoma to score five runs in the bottom of the sixth and the Sooners didn't look back, grabbing the lead for good. The Sooners got a two-run home run, a double and a single to plate five in that inning, which was the backbreaker for the Tar Heels. Although UNC answered back with two runs in the top of the seventh, the Sooners plated one run in the seventh and eighth innings. They also kept UNC scoreless in the eighth after the Tar Heels loaded the bases with no outs, threatening to tie or take the lead. UNC's pitching struggled, walking nine batters as the Tar Heels used starter Aidan Haugh and five relievers throughout the game. Haugh gave up just the one earned run in 3.2 innings pitched. The Tar Heels' lineup also struggled as the two through six hitters had just four hits with Gallaher having three of those hits. The loss now forces the winner-take-all game on Monday in Chapel Hill with the winner punching their ticket to the super regional. Due to NCAA rules, Oklahoma will be designated as the home team. MSU's newest commit, 3-star LB Braylon Hodge reportedly cancels remaining official visits

MSU's newest commit, 3-star LB Braylon Hodge reportedly cancels remaining official visits Michigan State picked up a commitment from a prized linebacker prospect on Sunday, and it appears he is locked in with the Spartans for the long haul. High-end three-star linebacker Braylon Hodge of Englewood, Colo. committed to Michigan State on Sunday afternoon following his official visit to the Spartans' campus. As part of that commitment, Justin Thind of 247Sports is reporting that Hodge will cancel his other previously scheduled official visits to Iowa, Utah and Minnesota. Thind considered this as "impressive" on the Spartans' part and added that Hodge's commitment was a "great start to June" for Michigan State. Hodge ranks as the No. 45 linebacker in the 2026 class, according to 247Sports. He holds a recruiting rating of 88 -- which is close to being a four-star prospect -- and is a top player in the state of Colorado. Like Thind, I found this additional report on the cancelling of Hodge's other official visits as notable. This was the first official visit Hodge took, and with no other official visits planned now, it seems like Michigan State will be in a great position to retain this commitment all the way to signing day in December.
