
IMS BHU hosts gynaecology ultrasound workshop focused on Adnexal Masses and Endometriosis
K.N. Udupa Auditorium on Sunday. Themed 'Unfolding the Enigma of Adnexal Masses and Endometriosis,' the workshop aimed to enhance clinical expertise in diagnostic ultrasound and promote advanced approaches in women's health care. The programme was led by Prof. Sangeeta Rai of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and Prof. Amit Nandan Dwivedi, the Head of the Department, Department of Radiology.
The workshop brought together leading gynaecologists, radiologists, and postgraduate students from across the region, offering an enriching blend of expert lectures, interactive discussions, and hands-on ultrasound training sessions.
Among the highlights were the outstanding presentations by Dr. Mala Sibal and Dr. Ladbans Kaur, whose engaging talks offered deep insights into advanced ultrasound imaging techniques and practical approaches for accurate diagnosis.
Participants gained updated knowledge on cutting-edge imaging techniques, refined their diagnostic acumen, and shared best practices for the effective management of adnexal masses and endometriosis.
Dr. Pramod Kumar Singh, organising secretary, said that the scientific programme was appreciated for its well-structured content, practical learning modules, and emphasis on fostering collaboration between clinicians and academicians. BHU to host FISCPCON 2025; experts to discuss coloproctology, live workshop & fellowship exam
VARANASI: The Department of General Surgery at the Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University (IMS BHU), will host the Fellowship of the International Society of Coloproctology Conference (FISCPCON 2025) on 23 and 24 August. Renowned medical experts and researchers from across the country are expected to participate. The organising chairman, Dr S.K. Bhartiya, head of the Department of General Surgery, said the conference will include step-by-step presentations and discussions on various coloproctology procedures, such as chronic haemorrhoids, fistulas, abscesses, and rectal prolapse. The event will also feature panel discussions, debates, scientific deliberations, research paper and poster presentations. A live operative workshop and fellowship examination will be conducted as part of the programme. The conference is being held under the aegis of the International Society of Coloproctology (ISCP), with Dr Prashant Rahate as President, Dr Lakshmikant Ladukar as Secretary, Shanti Vardhani as Treasurer, and Dr Dinesh Shah as Academic Coordinator. The event will be inaugurated by Prof Raj Kumar, Director of Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Ranchi, Jharkhand. Workshop patrons Dr S.N.
