Four-star linebacker from Alabama announces visit to LSU
A 2026 linebacker recruit took to social media to announce a visit to LSU. JJ Bush will visit LSU on June 13, the third of four Summer visits on the slate.
Bush will also make trips to Missouri, Cincinnati, and Arkansas over the summer. The three-star prospect ranks No. 16 in Alabama and No. 36 at his position, according to On3's Industry Rankings.
247Sports is the highest on Bush, slotting the LB as a four-star and No. 14 nationally at his position.
The Theodore, AL native is also considering offers from other Power Four schools. On3's Prediction Machine gives Miami the best chance to land his commitment, followed by Tulane.
LSU's 2026 class ranks No. 2 in the country, but the Tigers have a need at linebacker. Bush would be the first linebacker commitment and second Alabama native alongside four-star safety Dylan Purter, who hails from Tuskegee.
Bush made positive comments about his relationship with the Tigers' staff following his first trip to campus in April.

On Sunday afternoon, the Texas Longhorns were busy on the recruiting trail. They made offers to multiple prospects in the 2027 class, including talented defensive back Eli Johnson. The four-star recruit is ranked as the fifth-best linebacker in his class. If Johnson chose Texas, a defense that includes Epps and Johnson would make life hard for offensive coordinators. Although the Longhorns still have plenty of time to add talent, they have made their interest in Johnson clear. Their next step will be to get Johnson to campus for a visit. That will give Steve Sarkisian and his coaching staff a chance to provide Johnson with a preview of what his future could hold as a Longhorn. MSU's newest commit, 3-star LB Braylon Hodge reportedly cancels remaining official visits Michigan State picked up a commitment from a prized linebacker prospect on Sunday, and it appears he is locked in with the Spartans for the long haul. High-end three-star linebacker Braylon Hodge of Englewood, Colo. committed to Michigan State on Sunday afternoon following his official visit to the Spartans' campus. As part of that commitment, Justin Thind of 247Sports is reporting that Hodge will cancel his other previously scheduled official visits to Iowa, Utah and Minnesota. Thind considered this as "impressive" on the Spartans' part and added that Hodge's commitment was a "great start to June" for Michigan State. Hodge ranks as the No. 45 linebacker in the 2026 class, according to 247Sports. He holds a recruiting rating of 88 -- which is close to being a four-star prospect -- and is a top player in the state of Colorado. Like Thind, I found this additional report on the cancelling of Hodge's other official visits as notable. This was the first official visit Hodge took, and with no other official visits planned now, it seems like Michigan State will be in a great position to retain this commitment all the way to signing day in December. "Williams will be on campus the same time as four-star Huntington Beach (Calif.) quarterback and Buckeye commit Brady Edmunds. "The two have been in frequent communication over the past few months." As expected because he's a highly regarded recruit, Williams has received dozens of offers according to 247Sports. But the Buckeyes may be an early favorite for the top tight end. Williams told On3 his first visit at Ohio State in March went "amazing." 'The thing that stood out the most, how I was treated and how many of the recruits were treated. All around an amazing visit," said Williams. Standing at 6-foot-5 and 210 pounds, Williams will play his final two high school seasons for Libertyville in Illinois.
