Man arrested after fiery 5-vehicle Gardiner crash in early July: police

A man has been arrested in connection with a fiery, five-vehicle crash that killed one person and injured several others earlier this month, Toronto police say. Police said they arrested a 26-year-old man from Caledon, Ont., after he turned himself in this week. The driver of one of the vehicles, a 68-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. Four people were also taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while two others were treated by paramedics at the scene. The accused was scheduled to appear in court for a bail hearing on Tuesday, police said. Anyone with more information about the incident is asked to contact police or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers.
