Zoe Ball discusses 'problem' with sleeping arrangements after being seen with mystery man

Daily Mirror2 days ago
BBC Radio 2 presenter Zoe Ball shared her thoughts on the matter, just weeks after she was spotted holding hands with a mystery man at Glastonbury Festival
Zoe Ball has given her take on whether sleeping in separate bedrooms could spark the end of a relationship. Speaking with Jo Whiley on their Dig It podcast, the duo addressed a listener seeking their opinion on the topic.

The listener, Emma, told the pair she was "exhausted" because her husband's sleeping habits, such as snoring, disrupts her sleep every night.

Due to this, Emma said she's contemplating moving to the guest bedroom, but confessed: "But part of me worries if we end up sharing a bed, is that the beginning of the end?".

Offering her guidance, Zoe, 54, said: "Emma I feel for you, in our household it's probably the other way round. I'm the one who gets up to pee a lot and I'm the one who snores.
"I've had complaints from the kids in separate rooms who can hear my snoring. Beginning of the end, separate bedrooms?".

Jo went on to confess that she doesn't share a bed with her long-term husband, but stressed it hasn't damaged her marriage.
"So yeah separate bedrooms all the way," she declared.
Zoe added: "I have been known to occasional get up and go and sleep somewhere else if it's Nel [Nelly, her daughter] or you know, to let someone have a restful night if I'm restless or to get a restful night if someone else is restless, you know with colds and flus and bugs and things like that.

"And I guess there is that thing where you get that nice little bit of sneaking back in in the morning, but yeah this is the problem, the sleeping habits thing is tough isn't it?".
Zoe added that her sleep is often disrupted by listening to episodes of Newscast or Desert Island Discs, adding of a particular night: "I didn't go to sleep at all, it was a complete disaster."

The BBC Radio 2 presenter shared her thoughts after being spotted hand-in-hand with a man at Glastonbury Festival, back in June.
An onlooker who saw the pair said they "seemed blissfully happy and were strolling along holding hands".
"She was really smiling at him as they walked along and he was very protective of Zoe and put his hand across her back," they further told The Sun.

"People were doing double takes at her bloke though because he looks a lot like Fatboy. It's so great to see Zoe smiling again."
Zoe was previously married to Norman Cook, better known as Fatboy Slim, with whom she shares two children Woody, 20, and Nelly, 14.
Following their separation, she moved on with Billy Yates, who tragically took his own life in 2017 aged 40.
She later dated Michael Reed, but their relationship ended after six years due to reportedly "growing apart".

Yungblud shares the brutal way he found out about Ozzy Osbourne's death

Ozzy Osbourne's death came as a shock to many but while the rest of the world found out from the family's statement, Yungblud was told less gently. The Prince of Darkness died aged 76 from a heart attack on July 22 and was laid to rest days later in Birmingham. He had formed a close friendship with Yungblud, real name Dom Harrison, after crossing paths in 2022, becoming a mentor to the rising star. The pair were so close Dom was texting with the Black Sabbath icon up until his death, with Osbourne's son Jack having to break the news. 'I was texting him, then his son Jack texted me and said, 'He's gone.' I'm like, 'What?'' the 28-year-old star told The Sun. He explained that the past few weeks had been 'very weird to connect with', having performed with Osbourne at the Back to the Beginning concert in early July. 'You get to know someone personally, who you love. And then they leave,' Dom continued. 'Being around the family and being at the funeral, the amount of love there.' The funeral was an emotional affair with a procession through the streets of Osbourne's hometown, Birmingham, filled with fans paying tribute. His widow, Sharon Osbourne, was seen sobbing alongside their children as they approached Black Sabbath Bridge in a heartbreaking moment. Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo shared some insight into the private family funeral when Osbourne was buried on the grounds of his mansion. Speaking on SiriusXM's Trunk Nation, the 60-year-old musician said: When Kelly was singing, her lyrics flew. Like the wind blew her lyrics away. It was almost like Ozzy was having fun with her. 'Geezer broke down in tears. He had a hard time, obviously, speaking. And then he came back up and he delivered an amazing eulogy. 'The sun actually came out, and then it was beautiful from that moment on.' Alongside Kelly, Dom was one of the chosen few who performed at the funeral, singing a rendition of Changes, which he also sang at the farewell gig. Dom has now released the live version of the 1972 solo track, with proceeds going to Cure Parkinson's, Birmingham Children's Hospital, and Acorns Children's Hospice. 'The best thing is that I got to honour my hero,' Dom shared in the interview. 'That's all I was thinking about. I was singing for one man there.' He had previously shared a snap of the iconic crucifix Osbourne often wore, which he passed on to the Abyss singer before his death. In his tribute to Osbourne, the singer said the crucifix was 'the most precious thing' he owned. 'I didn't think you would leave so soon the last time we met you were so full of life and your laugh filled up the room,' he penned alongside pictures of the duo backstage at the Back to the Beginning concert. More Trending 'But as it is written with legends, they seem to know the things that we don't. I will never forget you – you will be in every single note I sing and with me every single time I walk on stage.' Dom continued: 'You asked me once if there was anything you could do for me and as I said then and as I will say now for all of us the music was enough. 'You took us on your adventure – an adventure that started it all. I am truly heartbroken. You were the greatest of all time.' Got a story? Bruce Willis' wife tears up over his heartbreaking dementia battle in interview

Bruce Willis' wife, Emma Heming Willis, teared up as she recalled the moment they were informed of his dementia diagnosis. In 2023, the Die Hard actor was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia (FTD) – an 'uncommon' form of the disease that causes the sufferer problems with behavior and language. The 70-year-old has since taken a back seat from the public eye to focus on his health, with his loved ones rallying around following the news. Ahead of her upcoming book about becoming a caregiver, Emma, 47, had an emotional sit-down interview with Diane Sawyer to discuss his condition and how their lives had changed. In the teaser for the ABC special, titled Emma & Bruce Willis: The Unexpected Journey, she told the host: 'I was so panicked, and I just remember hearing it, and just not hearing anything else. 'It was like I was free-falling.' When asked what love means to her, she said through tears: 'Love is beautiful. It's grand. It's unconditional. 'I'm so lucky to feel the love.' The full episode will air on August 26 on ABC, and will share unseen moments from Emma's relationship with Bruce. The pair got married in 2009 and share daughters Mabel and Evelyn together, while the Sixth Sense actor is also dad to daughters Rumer, Scout and Tallulah with ex-wife Demi Moore. He was previously diagnosed with aphasia in 2022 – at the time, his family announced that he would be ending his decades-long film career for the sake of his health. They posted a lengthy joint statement the following year, sharing the news of his FTD condition. Although there are currently no treatments, his loved ones have all used their platforms to raise as much awareness as possible for other sufferers. More Trending Emma has gone on to write a book about her experience with caregiving – the Unexpected Journey: Finding Strength, Hope and Yourself on the Caregiving Path is set to be released on September 9. 'Born from grief, shaped by love, and guided by purpose, this is the book I needed back when Bruce was first diagnosed and I was frozen with fear and uncertainty,' she said while confirming the launch. 'This is the book I trust will help the next caregiver. It is filled with support, insight, and the hope needed to navigate this journey. View More » 'This book is for all of us finding our way through the unknown with love, grit, and courage. You are not alone.' Got a story?
