Eurovision fans 'declare their winner' after country becomes dark horse
Eurovision fans have declared their winner after the country's scintillating semi-final performance.
Last night, 10 countries battled for a spot in the Grand Final on Saturday, with Norway, Sweden, the Netherlands, San Marino, and Portugal all qualifying.
For Azerbaijan, Belgium, Cyprus, Croatia, and Slovenia, their dreams of Eurovision glory ended.
However, Justyna Steczkowska of Poland may officially have become the new dark horse of the contest after her thrilling performance of 'Gaja'.
Commenting on Instagram, several fans replied to a video showing the 52-year-old performing by saying 'winner'.
@agaszuscik wrote: 'A great talent and a great class. We are proud and thank you!'
@daawidrakowski also commented: 'Winner of Eurovision 2025.'
@anitaczylija added: 'That was everything!'.
Meanwhile, @maciej_oscar wrote: 'We are so proud of you, Justyna! Pure perfection. You left your soul on the stage! You are the inspiration! Poland is standing behind you!'
Justyna – who appeared in the competition three decades ago – replied back to the post, which has now received over 220,000 likes, saying: 'Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your support! 'Gaja' just exploded on stage, full of energy and power.
'Your presence and every kind word mean so much to me. If you felt Gaja's energy, please vote for number 2 and help us reach the final. Every vote counts!'

Elsewhere in last night's semi-final, fans were left speechless after Switzerland's act Zoë Më's semi-final performance descended into chaos.
During the performance, the broadcast appeared to glitch and showed a dark image, while the camera also struggled to remain focused on Zoë.
Afterwards, BBC host Rylan Clark commented on the technical issues, saying: 'We should say there as well, I think there was a couple of little tech problems with that one single-shot camera.'
On X, viewers said they felt 'sorry' for Zoë and demanded 'justice', while others joked host country Switzerland was attempting to 'sabotage' their own act. More Trending
Some fans were even reduced to tears at one point after a special appearance from Eurovision legend Celine Dion.
A special rendition of her song Ne Partez Pas Sans Moi was also performed by previous Eurovision stars, including Silvester Belt and Iolanda.
The My Heart Will Go On hitmaker, 57, took the chance to reflect on her own Eurovision journey, having represented Switzerland in 1988.
Speaking both in French and English, she told viewers that the country 'has always held a special place in [her] heart'.

Huge 4ft Labubu doll sells at auction for £100,000
The popularity of Labubu dolls has reached new heights as a human-sized doll sold for more than £110,000. The dolls were created 10 years ago by Hong Kong artist Kasing Lung, but they've recently exploded in popularity. That's thanks in part to celebrities like Rihanna, Dua Lipa, K-pop star Lisa and even David Beckham posing for pictures and endorsing the toys. An auction at Yongle International Auction in Beijing this week was dedicated solely to Labubu, with 48 items put on sale. One of the lots was a 4ft 4in (131cm) Labubu doll, which sold for a record 1.08million yuan (£110,435), the auction house said. In total the auction house raised about 3.37million yuan (£345,000) from the weekly sale. Usually the dolls, sold by Chinese company Pop Mart, cost around 50yuan. But global demand for the toys has skyrocketed in recent weeks, with crowds forming outside shops and even physically fighting over the items. Pop Mart even had to pause Labubu sales in its 16 UK stores 'to prevent any potential safety issues' due to the overwhelming demand. The brand opened shops in five new countries including Italy and Spain. BBC Antiques Roadshow expert 'highly moved' by mum's heartbreaking story

More info An Antiques Roadshow expert had an emotional reaction as he learned about a "very courageous" woman who spoke of her late son. During the BBC show filmed at Tredegar House in Wales, Marc Allum encountered a guest presenting a unique Status Quo themed tapestry. She shared: "Well my son was Status Quo mad, absolutely Status Quo mad. In the old days it was records they brought out. "I remember those!" Allum replied in recognition as she added: "CD's came later. And as time went on, we had to go out and buy it for him because he was disabled, he was in a wheelchair. He had an accident at 18." The lady explained further after being sensitively questioned by Allum: "A motorbike accident, paralysed from the chest down. No feeling from here down. "So he really couldn't use his limbs," he noted, leading her to clarify: "No, he could move his arms but he couldn't move his fingers. No use of his fingers." (Image: BBC) "That's a sad story," acknowledged Allum, pondering the tapestry's connection with her son. She revealed to Allum: "He was told he wasn't capable of doing anything and he didn't for five years". "After five years, he began doing a few things, tapestry was one of them. "As we'd pass through my kitchen, there at my kitchen table would be his wheelchair, and he would say 'thread me a few needles'. "And he used his teeth to push it through the tapestry and he would turn the whole frame over, it was on a swing, and pull it through with his teeth." The expert remarked: "That is unbelievable. So your son executed this entire tapestry with his teeth. "I mean, obviously I can see it lists all the albums, song titles and it's quite clearly dated. I think what would be fantastic would be if Status Quo got to know about this as well. "I think they would be absolutely massively impressed by the devotion of a fan who went to this kind of trouble." As the woman presented a photograph of her son, who had sadly passed away 20 years after his accident at the age of 39, the expert observed: "He looks to be a happy soul," to which she replied: "Oh he was so happy, he was a happy boy." The expert pointed out that the tapestry remained unfinished, prompting the woman to emotionally confirm: "No, it was never finished. Lots of people have asked if they could finish it for me and I've said no, it's not finished because he died. (Image: BBC) "And it was only after he died that I actually looked at the titles and he never repeated a title but he did towards the end and the title was So Ends Another Life." The expert acknowledged, "And I can see that final line at the bottom," as the woman added, "Yes, so he knew." He was visibly moved after confirming the name Colin Thomas Booth belonged to the guest's son. "I have to say I'm so highly moved, it's all I can do to carry on, to be honest with you", Allum said. "And the fact you've come here today to talk to me about this, I think is wonderful. "It's a testament to his achievement, producing something like this which I think is absolutely incredible. "This thing is priceless. I think it is an amazing thing. "Also, you've been very courageous to come and talk about it, so thank you very much."
