After being riddled by injuries last season, the injury bug may already be making its way back to the Miami Dolphins.
As first reported Wednesday by NFL insider Jordan Schultz, Miami's 2024 first-round pick Chop Robinson was carted off the field during a joint practice with the Detroit Lions.

Miami selected Robinson with the No. 21 pick in last year's draft after he spent his collegiate career at both Penn State and Maryland.
He was a superstar in his final collegiate season, finishing the year with 7 1/2 tackles for loss, four sacks, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovered.
He had a solid rookie season for Miami, appearing in all 17 games and getting the starting nod once. Robinson collected 26 tackles, four passes defended, seven sacks and eight tackles for loss.
Those stats earned him a fifth-place finish in the AP Rookie of the Year voting last season.

The injury to Robinson just adds to a long list of Miami players that are currently dealing with injuries.
Star wide receivers Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle both missed the first preseason game for the Dolphins. Their status for the second preseason game remains unclear, and the same can be said of star iinebacker Jaelan Phillips.
In what could be a make-or-break season for Miami, the amount of injuries mounting up during the preseason is a bit worrisome.
Head coach Mike McDaniel will likely have his hands full in rebuilding his defense on short notice if the injuries to Phillips and Robinson are serious.

Browns QB Shedeur Sanders' injury timeline revealed after oblique strain

Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders will not play in the team's second preseason game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Suffering an oblique injury in Wednesday's joint practice against the Eagles, the Browns sat him out the rest of practice, and he took it easy on Thursday as well. How long, however, will Sanders be out as he continues to look to prove to the team that he deserves reps after a strong preseason debut in the win over the Carolina Panthers? We may just have an answer for you. NFL Network's Tom Pelissero has reported that the Browns could get Sanders back on the practice field as early as Monday next week, and that he could play in the Browns' final preseason game against the Los Angeles Rams. Here is what Pelissero had to say on the Browns' fifth rounder: "Shedeur Sanders will not play tomorrow against the Eagles because of that oblique injury that knocked him out of practice on Wednesday. However, I am told there is cautious optimism that Sanders could return to practice next week and be able to play in the preseason finale. Officially, the Browns are calling him day-to-day." With Sanders out against the Eagles, it is anticipated (barring a last-minute setback with his hamstring injury) that third round rookie Dillon Gabriel will make his NFL debut and start for the Browns. We have yet to see Kenny Pickett in a live setting since suffering a hamstring injury, as it has been the 40-year-old Joe Flacco who has won the war of attrition at this point and is the front-runner to be named the Browns' starting quarterback. Could Sanders still make a push for the backup job if he comes back healthy next week and puts together another strong outing against the Rams in the preseason finale? Much of that answer can be found in how Gabriel plays tomorrow afternoon against the Eagles. However, there is without a doubt, pressure on the third rounder with Sanders biting at his heels. Browns QB Dillon Gabriel to start vs. Eagles if healthy

The Cleveland Browns enter their second preseason game of the season against the Philadelphia Eagles on Saturday afternoon, and their plan at quarterback is becoming clearer. Quarterbacks Kenny Pickett and Shedeur Sanders are expected to be sidelined with injuries this weekend, paving the way for Dillon Gabriel to make his first career NFL start. The issue is, however, that Gabriel has not yet been a full participant in practice either, since tweaking his hamstring. However, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero has stated that, barring a setback in his pre-game warmup, Gabriel will be good to go against the Eagles and will make the start. Here is what Pelissero had to say: "They are hoping that Dillon Gabriel is going to wake up feeling good tomorrow that he can go out and start and make his debut after his own hamstring injury. If not, if all else fails, then it's going to be a whole lot of Tyler "Snoop" Huntley against the Philadelphia Eagles." So you heard it there first. The plan is for Gabriel to start, and the fallback is that Tyler Huntley will play the whole game for the Browns under center. Former MSU running back Nathan Carter scores long touchdown for the Atlanta Falcons

It's been a big night for Spartans in the NFL. Shortly after former MSU defensive back and current member of the Tennessee Titans, Kendell Brooks took an interception all the way for a touchdown, Nathan Carter fired back and broke a huge run for a 43-yard touchdown for his Atlanta Falcons. Carter, who, like Brooks, is vying for a roster spot in the NFL, managed to take what looked like a simple inside handoff, found a seam, and showed some nice top-end speed to take it all the way to the end zone. You can watch it below: Kendell Brooks and Nathan Carter are both fighting for roster spots right now, and plays like that will make a great case for them to stick around in the league.
