Mukesh Khanna Calls Out Jaya Bachchan's Behaviour Amid Parliament Video Row: ‘Journalists Ke Sath…'
Jaya Bachchan has found herself in hot water after a video of her pushing a fan outside Parliament went viral. Many questioned her behaviour, and now Mukesh Khanna has also called out Jaya Bachchan. In a recent conversation, the actor shared that she is wrong in the way the actress in general talks to journalists.
While chatting with FilmyGyan, and while calling out Jaya's behaviour, Mukesh said, 'Aaj kal ye jo unka journalists ke sath 'kya kar raha hai tu, kon hai, kya chahiye, this is wrong. Aap inke liye jee rahe ho, aur aajkal ye jo Rajya Sabha mein bolti hai mujhe aisa lagta hai ya to ye bigad gayi hai ghar se, ya Modi ke khilaf bolna hai isliye hi bolti hai. Aise-aisa argument deti hai jo mujhe nahi ache lagte.'"
('These days, the way she talks to journalists — 'what are you doing, who are you, what do you want, this is wrong' — you are living for them, and now when she speaks in the Rajya Sabha, I feel as if either she is upset at home or she just wants to speak against Modi. That's why she gives such arguments, which I don't like.")
Why is Jaya Bachchan getting backlash?
Actress-turned-politician Jaya Bachchan lost her cool on Tuesday when a man tried to take a selfie with her at the Constitution Club in New Delhi. A video of the incident surfaced on social media and left everyone shocked. In the clip, the Samajwadi Party MP was seen pushing a man trying to take a selfie with her. She also said, 'Kya kar rahe hain aap? (What are you doing?) What is this?"
Kangana Ranaut and Ashoke Pandit call out Jaya Bachchan
Taking to her Instagram stories, Kangana Ranaut wrote, 'Most spoilt and privileged woman. People put up with her tantrums/nonsense just because she is Amitabh Bachchan ji's wife. That Samajwadi topi looks like a rooster comb, while she looks like a fighting cock!! Such disgrace and shame."
Filmmaker Ashoke Pandit took to his Instagram and said that the move was 'highly condemnable" and showed 'humiliation towards people who have elected her to serve them." He added, 'A public servant can't afford to be sulking and irritated 24×7. One expects humility and compassion from an artist of her calibre who has been loved by her fans, who are responsible for providing her this stature and position."

India, South Korea resolve to set new industrial ambition in high-tech sectors
Agency: PTI New Delhi, Aug 16 (PTI) India and South Korea on Saturday resolved to expand their strategic partnership by setting new 'industrial ambition" in the areas of semiconductor, defence, clean energy, and artificial intelligence. Ways to ramp up the overall bilateral cooperation figured prominently in talks between External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and his visiting South Korean counterpart, Cho Hyun. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said Jaishankar and Hyun agreed to set new industrial ambitions, especially in high-tech sectors such as AI, semiconductors, clean energy, shipbuilding, and the defence industry. The ministers took stock of bilateral cooperation, including in the political, security, trade and economy, technological, and people-to-people domains, it said. In a social media post, Jaishankar described the talks as 'productive". 'Held productive discussions on advancing our bilateral cooperation in trade, manufacturing, maritime and people-to-people exchanges as well as new opportunities in AI, semiconductors, clean energy and defence," he said. Jaishankar said he and Hyun also exchanged perspectives on the Indo-Pacific region and contemporary global developments. 'Appreciated our deepening convergences and growing engagement as our Special Strategic Partnership completes 10 years," he added. In his opening remarks at the meeting, Jaishankar also thanked Seoul for its condemnation of the horrific April 22 Pahalgam terror attack. The external affairs minister also made a mention of Seoul's support to an Indian parliamentary delegation that visited South Korea in the aftermath of Operation Sindoor. 'You have been barely a month in the job (as the foreign minister), the fact that you are here literally a day after your National Day, and our National Day, says a lot really about the value we attach to the relationship," Jaishankar said. The India-South Korea ties have been on an upswing in the last few years, especially in the areas of trade and defence. The MEA said Jaishankar and Hyun reaffirmed the strong and growing 'special strategic partnership" between the two countries. The partnership is rooted in shared democratic values, mutual trust, shared economic interests, and commitment to regional and global peace and stability, it said. 'The ministers also shared their assessment on regional and global issues of common interest," the MEA said in a statement. Punjab: AAP MP Kang urges MEA to act on stranded Indians in Spain
Chandigarh, Aug 16 (PTI) AAP Lok Sabha MP from Punjab, Malvinder Singh Kang, has written to External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, seeking his urgent intervention to resolve the problems being faced by several Indian nationals stranded in Spain due to delays in passport renewal and re-issuance at the Indian Consulate there. In the letter, Kang said routine matters such as damaged, lost, or expired passports have escalated into a 'humanitarian emergency", leaving countless citizens, including many from Punjab, stranded in Spain for more than six months. These individuals, the MP from Sri Anandpur Sahib claimed, are being deprived of their fundamental right to mobility and reunion with their families. 'The viral spread of poignant videos showing desperate applicants at the Consulate's doors captures their anguish and highlights the scale of suffering. 'Some of those affected face grave medical conditions requiring urgent treatment, while others are battling heart-wrenching family emergencies," Kang wrote. The AAP MP cautioned that the persistent bottlenecks in passport processing not only inflict unbearable hardships on citizens abroad, but also undermine India's reputation as a 'compassionate" and 'efficient" guardian of its global diaspora. He urged the MEA to direct the Consulate in Spain to overhaul its processes, prioritise pending cases, and ensure swift passport services. 'I strongly request @DrSJaishankar Ji's urgent intervention as thousands of Indians, including many from Punjab, have been stranded in Spain for the last six months due to delays in passport renewal and re-issuance at our Consulate. 'Many face critical medical needs or family tragedies. A viral video captures their anguish. Swift and decisive clearance of all pending cases is essential to end their suffering, uphold their dignity, and reunite them with their families," Kang said in a post on X. He also assured the ministry of full cooperation in bridging the connections with those impacted, and providing further details as and when needed. The AAP MP expressed confidence that swift action by the government would ease the burden of the affected individuals, reaffirm India's commitment to responsive governance, and safeguard the dignity and well-being of its citizens abroad.
