Cindy Smith (1986 - 1991)
Cindy Smith was Billy Ray Cyrus' first wife — their relationship predated his rise to international stardom.
The couple married during the early years of his music career in 1986, but divorced after five years together in 1991.
Unlike his later relationships, little is known about Billy Ray's time with Cindy — she prefers to stay out of the public spotlight.
Cindy and Billy Ray co-wrote songs together including Wher'm I Gonna Live? and Some Gave All.
Both tracks appeared on his 1992 debut album, which shares the same title as the latter of the two.
Despite their creative collaboration, their marriage ended before Billy Ray achieved major stardom with his worldwide smash hit Achy Breaky Heart.
Cindy has maintained a private life ever since the split over three decades ago.
Tish Cyrus (1991 - 2022)

Tish Cyrus-Purcell (born Leticia Finley) is Billy Ray's second wife.
The pair met in 1991 and married in December 1993, shortly after Billy Ray's breakthrough as a country music star.
Over their nearly 30-year marriage, Tish and Billy Ray raised a family of five children: Miley, Noah, and Braison — as well as Brandi and Trace, whom Billy Ray adopted from Tish's previous relationship.
She played a significant role in managing the careers of their children, especially Miley Cyrus, who went on to become a global superstar.
Billy Ray and Tish filed for divorce multiple times over the years, but reconciled each time.
That is until they separated in 2022, with their divorce finally finalized in 2023.
Tish listed "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for her split from Billy Ray.

Born Johanna Rose Hodges, Firerose is Billy Ray Cyrus' third wife.
They first met in 2012, while Billy was on the set of Hannah Montana.
The two stayed in touch over the years and eventually got together wit the Australian singer-songwriter.
The pair began working together musically in 2021, with their professional partnership quickly blossoming into romance and Forerose moving into Billy Ray's Tennessee farm in the summer of 2022.
Their engagement came shortly after they started living together, and they wasted no time in getting married, holding the ceremony in October 2023.
In an Instagram post shortly after the wedding, the two called their special day "the most perfect, ethereal celebration of love we could have ever imagined."
However, their union quickly unraveled, with Billy Ray filing for divorce in May 2024, just months after their wedding.
The divorce was contentious, with Billy Ray accusing Firerose of fraud and inappropriate marital conduct, while Firerose alleged domestic abuse.
Their divorce was finalized in August 2024.
