While early access to tickets has become more common in recent years for highly anticipated blockbusters, the year-long lead time for
The Odyssey
sets a new benchmark. Industry observers have termed this initiative a blend of strategic hype-building and confidence in Nolan's growing brand as an auteur with mass appeal.
Later revelations showed that some of the earliest buyers were quick to resell, with listings for
The Odyssey
tickets now appearing online for as much as $150 in cities like Los Angeles and New York. This was first noted by Twitter user The Cinegogue and reported by
GamesRadar
.
Nolan's Vision: A 70MM IMAX Epic
Speaking at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year, Imax CEO Rich Gelfond revealed how Nolan's persistence prompted a rethink of Imax's film equipment. 'Chris called me up and said, 'If you can figure out how to solve the problems, I will make [
The Odyssey
] 100 percent in Imax,'' Gelfond recounted. 'He forced us to rethink that side of our business, our film recorders, our film cameras.'
Live Events
Budget, Star Power, and Scope
With a reported budget of $250 million,
The Odyssey
is set to become Nolan's most expensive film to date. The scale matches the ambition, as the adaptation ventures into a cinematic retelling of Odysseus' decade-long journey after the fall of Troy, encountering mythological beings like the Sirens, Cyclops, and Circe along the way.
The film stars Matt Damon in the titular role of Odysseus, alongside an ensemble cast including Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Lupita Nyong'o, Charlize Theron, Robert Pattinson, Jon Bernthal, and Mia Goth. The combination of Nolan's directorial clout and this high-profile lineup is expected to fuel significant global box-office interest.
IMAX's Stake in the Nolan Ecosystem
Nolan's relationship with IMAX has long been symbiotic. From
The Dark Knight
to
Tenet
and
Dunkirk
, the filmmaker has consistently leaned into the immersive quality of the large-format film. The success of
Oppenheimer
, with IMAX screens contributing over $190 million of its $975.8 million global revenue, only solidified this bond.
The newly developed Imax film cameras, currently reserved for Nolan, are expected to become available to other filmmakers following the completion of
The Odyssey
. This strategic rollout could redefine high-end cinematic production for years to come.
A Teaser Before the Curtain Rises
The first teaser for
The Odyssey
debuted theatrically alongside Universal's
Jurassic World Rebirth
, which opened over the Fourth of July weekend to strong audience turnout. While some considered the teaser's release premature, given that filming is still ongoing, the team capitalized on
Rebirth
's wide appeal to generate early buzz.
Social media buzzed with reports of advance ticket listings appearing on select theater websites ahead of the official announcement, prompting Universal to confirm the move earlier than intended. The trailer and the ticketing initiative together underscore the studio's effort to position
The Odyssey
not merely as a film but as a cinematic event.
The Nolan Effect
Scheduled to hit cinemas in July 2026,
The Odyssey
represents not just a bold retelling of a timeless myth but also a reimagining of how modern blockbusters are marketed. With a technical foundation rooted in large-format film and a cast designed to appeal across generations, Nolan's latest outing is already shaping up to be one of the most anticipated releases of the coming year.

The Office sequel is all about a small newsroom in Toledo, and fans are not impressed; watch the trailer
The Office is one of those shows you can watch over and over again, and when it ended, fans felt a loss. But now, Dunder Mifflin is back… well, sort of. Enter The Paper, an offshoot of NBC's beloved series, swapping paper sales for newspaper deadlines. This time, we're in the chaotic offices of the Toledo Truth Teller, a struggling Midwestern paper that just happens to employ one familiar face: Oscar Martinez, played once again by Oscar Nuñez. A still from The Paper The mockumentary comedy, co-created by The Office's Greg Daniels and Nathan for You's Michael Koman, premieres Sept. 4 on Peacock with four episodes. In the trailer, ambitious new editor-in-chief Ned Sampson (Domhnall Gleeson) sweeps in, armed with big ideas to revive the paper — ideas that must survive both brutal budget cuts and a ragtag newsroom staff. The reporters share office space with… a toilet paper company. Yes, really. The ensemble includes Sabrina Impacciatore, Chelsea Frei, Melvin Gregg, Gbemisola Ikumelo, Alex Edelman, Ramona Young, Tim Key, and Nuñez, with guest spots from Eric Rahill, Tracy Letts, Molly Ephraim, Mo Welch, Allan Havey, Duane Shepard Sr., Nate Jackson, and Nancy Lenehan. Netizens react But the trailer's release lit up social media, and not entirely in the way one might have hoped. One long-time fan warned: 'Someone who has watched The Office ten times and basically has it memorised — if you guys ruin the show, there will be riots led by yours truly. That being said, it's nice to see Oscar again, and I hope that this show is really funny.' Others were less optimistic. 'Whoever put the trailer together should be ashamed,' one post read. 'The clip of the meeting has some promise, and Oscar is good of course, but nothing else is really standing out.' Surprisingly, that sentiment kept popping up. 'It feels like it takes place in the same building..? Like it feels like the same sets. More boring than expected!' wrote another, while one person flatly declared, 'This looks terrible. Please don't release it.' A few felt the tone was off from the start, with one comparing it to a different NBC comedy entirely: 'Really feels more in the vein of Parks & Rec than The Office. Immediately paints itself as 'look at this ragtag group that can do anything they set their mind to.' Wish it wasn't set in The Office universe because it's going to be nothing like The Office.' Other comments followed the same path. 'Oscar being so anti-the entire premise of this was the only good bit in this trailer. Might just carry the show,' one admitted. Another quipped, 'The only time I laughed was the last six seconds… oof, this looks bad.' Others went even darker: 'I laughed more at my grandmother's funeral,' one said. And yet another cut right to the chase: 'Best part was seeing Oscar, other than that it felt more like Parks & Rec than The Office.' Perhaps the most brutally confident review came from a fan who predicted the series' fate before it even airs: 'I'll be here for the 'NBC has cancelled The Paper after 1 season.'' Whether The Paper proves them wrong remains to be seen — but one thing's for sure: in the eyes of The Office's fiercely protective fanbase, reviving that universe is a risk that comes with paper-thin patience.

#RakshaBandhan: We are each other's biggest cheerleaders: Shraddha & Mikhil Musale
Shraddha & Mikhil Musale For National Award-winning filmmaker Mikhil Musale and his actress-sister Shraddha Musale , this year's Raksha Bandhan is 'a little more special.' Shraddha, currently seen in C.I.D., shares, 'Usually, we celebrate it with a simple, sweet evening at my place. But this time, we've planned a fun get-together with all our cousins in Mumbai. There will be games, dancing, and a proper Rakhi lunch. I'm also planning a few surprises to make it more memorable. Mikhil never liked wearing a rakhi as a kid. His face would just drop the moment I brought it out. Once, one of my friends tried to tie him a rakhi, and he ran away! That was him, full of drama.' Mikhil adds, 'While we fight and argue a lot, we make it a point to not do that on Raksha Bandhan.' In a chat, they talk about their unique bond, and how it has evolved over the years. Excerpts: 'A Raksha Bandhan gift needs to be meaningful' Shraddha: A couple of years ago, Mikhil gifted me this really thoughtful mic set. I had just started my business, and it meant a lot of online meetings and video calls. He said, 'Shraddha, you need good sound quality now!' He always supports me in his own sweet way. It made me feel so seen and understood. Mikhil: These days, I don't know what to gift her. A Raksha Bandhan gift needs to be meaningful. I am not much into gifting but sometimes, I ask her what she needs. 'We have deep understanding and respect for each other's choices' Shraddha: While I am the elder sister, I was never the overly protective type. As we grew older, our bond evolved. For all his film releases and big moments, I've always been one of his big cheerleaders. Today, I value our friendship more than anything else. Both of us have grown into independent individuals with strong opinions and different life paths, but what keeps us close is the deep understanding and respect we have for each other's choices. That silent support-knowing we're there for each other whenever needed-matters a lot. At times, there are differences in how we think or see things. Earlier, if something felt off, we would just not talk for a few days. But over time, I've realised how important it is to communicate. Now, if something bothers me, like a certain tone or a comment, I tell him and that helps. I truly admire how deeply he cares — not in an overt or showy way, but he's always there for you, no matter what. I really value that quiet presence. Mikhil: We share an interesting bond, and, in some matters, I am like the elder is more disciplined andfocused when it comes to following a daily routine. She is calmer and more people-friendly, while I can be a bit aggressive at times. I have learnt a lot from her about staying calm and how to communicate better. If we fight over something, she is usually the first one to call and resolve it. Having an elder sibling is a blessing because while your parents may be cool, you can't discuss everything with them. An elder sibling understands the problems faced by your generation better. I have learnt a lot from her about staying calm and how to communicate better. If we fight over something, she is usually the first one to call and resolve it. 'We discuss work, but not that much' Being from the same industry, do they discuss work? 'Since he's a director and I'm an actor, I often share my thoughts on performances or the challenges I face as an actor, and I love getting his perspective. He's creatively sharp, so his inputs really help. I admire his work ethic. He literally forgets everything else: food, sleep, everything! That kind of perseverance and passion for work inspires me,' says Shraddha. She adds, 'I guide him on things like attitude towards life, maybe a little bit of spirituality. Also, I keep reminding him that it's time to get married (laughs)!' Mikhil adds, 'We discuss work, but not that much. We discuss other things more and if I am in a bad mood or something is bothering me, she is my go-to person.' Unforgettable childhood memories: Shraddha: When Mikhil was very small, he'd sit on the stairs with a little katori of shakkarpara in his hand every evening, waiting for my rickshaw to arrive. He'd get so excited when he saw me- that image is etched in my heart. Mikhil: Dad had a scooter and we would fight over who gets to sit in the front.
