
Three detained for vandalising two toll booths, beating staff
Superintendent of police Abhishek Shivhare said the attackers arrived at the toll booths under Ramgarh police station area at 1am in a Bolero camper, armed with swords and sticks. They vandalised the booth, breaking glass, other items and attacked their employees. The attack occurred at two locations, 15 kilometre apart, he said.
A video of the incident went viral. Two toll workers were injured in the attack. Upon receiving information about the incident, the police acted swiftly and detained three suspects for questioning.
Shivhare said at 1am, the miscreants first reached the Lanela toll plaza in a white Bolero camper. When an employee asked them for toll, they started arguing. Then, armed with swords and sticks, they attacked the booth, vandalising everything and assaulting the employee. They also smashed the booth's glass before fleeing. They carried out a similar attack 15 kilometre ahead at the Parewar village toll plaza, assaulting two employees and breaking computers, glass, and other items.
The toll employees fled to save their lives. After the incident, the attackers escaped, having covered their faces with cloth, he said.

Fatehabad Sadar police station house officer Kuldeep Kumar said that the injured man has been undergoing treatment at Agroha medical college and they will record his statement once he comes out of the danger zone. He said that forensic experts have collected evidence from the spot.

Delivery boy dies after throat being slashed by manjha string
Lucknow: A 33-year-old delivery boy, identified as Amar Rajput, died in a tragic incident on Saturday morning after his throat was slashed by a kite's glass-coated string (manjha) near the Hardoi bridge in Hiran Nagar Kotwali area of Unnao. According to police, Amar, employed with an e-commerce platform, had left home saying he was going to collect a payment to buy gifts for his sisters for Raksha Bandhan. "First I will bring gifts, then get the rakhi tied," he reportedly told his family before leaving. As he reached the Hardoi bridge, a manjha string got entangled around his neck. Before he could stop his bike, the sharp string cut deeply into his throat, causing him to collapse on the roadside in a pool of blood. Local residents rushed him to the district hospital, where doctors declared him dead. Amar, married two years ago, leaves behind his wife Komal and a young daughter. The tragedy sank the family into grief. His mother Kusuma and sisters Niharika and Neha wept inconsolably in the mortuary, with Kusuma fainting repeatedly. Man booked for cheating 6 of Rs 92L with job bait
Lucknow: Six job aspirants were duped of Rs 92 lakh in Gomtinagar police station area on Sunday. Gaya, Bihar native Prithviraj Goswami, staying in Eldeco Green City, told police that on the train to Lucknow, he met Sanjay Kumar of Kanpur and they became friends. Kumar told him he helped people secure govt jobs, including positions in courts. Goswami, who was looking for govt job for his brother Vishwajeet, sought Kumar's help and said he would pay the amount required for a job in court. Kumar demanded 15 lakhs for securing a job in the High Court and Goswami paid. Kumar asked Goswami to refer more candidates and the latter introduced him to Mukesh Kumar, Rajiv Kumar, Ajay Kumar, Virendra Kumar, and Vikram Kumar, all from Bihar. Kumar took from these people Rs 82 lakh in cash and Rs 10.49 lakh online. Kumar gave the candidates appointment letters and identity cards, which were eventually found to be fake. They asked Kumar to refund the money, but he refused and issued threats. The victims complained at Gomtinagar police station, but no action was taken, following which they filed an application in the court. On order of the court, police registered a case.
