Now, recently, the team's management cited his weight issue as the reason behind his release from the team. Meanwhile, with a stunning offseason makeover, the Slovenian star has joined his home team for EuroBasket 2025 and put an end to these comments and criticism.

NBA legend Luka Doncic recently decided to focus on improving his physical condition after the
L.A. Lakers
were unexpectedly knocked out of the playoffs in the opening round.
He apparently worked out day and night and shed around thirty-one pounds.
He eventually got used to it, although it took some time. According to Slovenia's Svet24, he informed the reporters:
"I know how much basketball means to me. It has given me a lot in my life… But I also like to play other sports. The first three or four days were hard for me without basketball, but then I just got used to it."
Additionally, Luca Doncic also appeared on the cover of Men's Health Magazine. His incredible weight loss throughout the offseason was highlighted in a new article. Furthermore, the coach of the Los Angeles Lakers has praised Luka Doncic for his unexpected weight drop. He said:
'I think he's probably the best one-on-one player in the game.

He revealed to the magazine that he began intermittent fasting in June to reduce inflammation and help his body's healing process. He also acknowledged that he supposedly consumes one protein drink and two high-protein meals every day of the week.
He also gave credit to his weight and agility training, along with a low-sugar, gluten-free diet. Now, he is fit and fine, ready to help the Slovenian team in the EuroBasket 2025.
