A "stunning" Ohio State Buckeyes cheerleader grabbed attention with her offseason photo this week.
The Ohio State Buckeyes football team is gearing up for the 2025 season. Ohio State had a magical ride in 2024, of course. The Buckeyes went 10-2 in the regular season, losing to Oregon and Michigan, the latter of which sparked "fire Ryan Day!" calls. But Ohio State rebounded in a major way in the College Football Playoff.
Ohio State, the No. 8 seed, topped Tennessee at home, Oregon in the Rose Bowl, Texas in the Cotton Bowl and then Notre Dame in the College Football Playoff national championship game.
The Buckeyes lost a lot of elite talent to the NFL this offseason, including quarterback Will Howard, wide receiver Emeka Egbuka and a host of defensive standouts. But Ohio State is still expected to contend for both a Big Ten championship and College Football Playoff spot in 2025.
Meanwhile, a stunning Ohio State Buckeyes cheerleader is trending ahead of Week 1.

Ohio State opens the 2025 regular season in big-time fashion.
The Buckeyes and the Texas Longhorns are scheduled to open the year on Saturday, Aug. 30.
Kickoff for that game is scheduled for noon E.T. It'll air live on FOX.

Derrick Moore claims Michigan's win over Ohio State overshadows Buckeyes' 2025 title

While it may incense some people (OK, most people) in and around Columbus, to the victors go the spoils. And for Michigan football against Ohio State, despite the Buckeyes winning the national championship, the Wolverines can talk. Yes, OSU won it all, but it went 14-2 in the process, having inexplicably lost to 6-5 Michigan in Columbus, despite quarterback Davis Warren throwing for less than 100 yards, and with the Wolverines being shorthanded on both sides of the ball. A year after winning the national championship, despite the moribund record, there was still celebrating in Ann Arbor, while -- for a period -- self-proclaimed Buckeye Nation wanted Ryan Day fired. At Big Ten media days in Las Vegas, Michigan edge rusher Derrick Moore did some talking, giving the scarlet and gray something of a backhanded compliment. "I'll congratulate them on the win, but it's not a real win if y'all ain't beat us," Moore said. "I'm gonna congratulate them on their win, but this year it's gonna be different." Michigan won its championship by going 15-0, having beaten all of its rivals in its path. While OSU got revenge on its first regular-season loss, Oregon, it couldn't claim the same level of supremacy as the Wolverines did. One thing is for sure, Moore notes: given the record, if the playoff hadn't expanded, Ohio State would have been relegated to the outside looking in, given its loss to the maize and blue. "If the playoff extension wasn't around, they wouldn't have won the national championship," Moore said. "We pretty much look at it like, 'Hey man, y'all had an easy little run. We helped y'all along the way.' So we pretty much helped y'all build back up. But like I said, after that game, they dominated everybody that came in front of them. So I've got to give all the credit to them." The College Football Playoff had expanded from four teams to 12 this past year, which allowed the Buckeyes to get in as an at-large team (Oregon won the Big Ten and got the automatic qualifier). So, while it might upset many (again, most) in Ohio, he is, again, correct. Regardless, feathers will certainly be ruffled in Columbus. But they'll have to wait until the end of November to see if they can change their fortunes.

The Athletic declares Jeremiyah Love the best running back in college football for 2025

The Athletic has named Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love as the best RB1 prospect for the 2025 season. Love, a draft-eligible underclassman who stands an estimated six-feet tall and weighs an estimated 210 pounds, is author Dane Brugler's clear number one prospect. Brugler says that Love has "instinctive athleticism", though he must get better at pass-catching. Brugler says Love is clearly the best running back in college football and has the talent to be the best playmaker in next year's draft. Here's an example of Brugler's analysis. "It doesn't take a trained eye to spot Love's exceptional talent. A springy athlete, he has the lateral agility to bounce between gaps and the immediate acceleration to burst through holes at full speed. He ties it all together with innate patience and reactionary movements — those traits plus his balance through contact make him a nightmare to tackle." Brugler suggests Notre Dame may have won the national title over Ohio State had Love not been hampered by a knee injury. I think it's safe to say we're all hoping to see Love at 100 percent this fall. Teddy Jarrard committed to Notre Dame and then posted one of best verbal videos out there

Notre Dame football has gotten off to a great start in the 2027 recruiting cycle, and on Thursday it got even better at Georgia quarterback Teddy Jarrard committed to the Irish. The rising junior ended the process extremely early, which is big for Notre Dame as he now can help with other prospects who he'd like to see join him. In the 2026 class, the Irish had the same type of early commitment with Noah Grubbs, and that has turned out pretty well. It wasn't all that surprising that Jarrard opted to pick Notre Dame over Georgia, Ohio State, Penn State, and Michigan, as it seemed like destiny that he was going to pick the Irish. In his commitment video, it sure seemed that way. He shared it on social media, and it's one of the better ones that has come out. It starts with him playing pee wee football, then quickly goes to Notre Dame campus while is followed by multiple clips of former and present stars. It concludes with his phone call with his new head coach Marcus Freeman, telling him that he is committing. Check out the full video below, as the Irish secured their 2027 quarterback early and will continue to build on another great class.
