What to expect on Netflix thanks to Harry and Meghan's new deal
Harry and Meghan have given the streaming giant first options on their output from Archewell Productions.
Here is what to expect from the couple on Netflix in the coming months:
The second instalment of Meghan's lifestyle show will debut later in August.
Netflix said: 'Meghan returns with a fun and heartwarming new season, welcoming celebrity chefs, talented artists, and beloved friends for hands-on adventures filled with laughter and discovery.'
It promises 'playful cooking challenges' and 'DIY projects', adding: 'Meghan and her guests explore bold flavours, experiment with new techniques, and discover simple ways to add beauty to everyday life.'
The show, Netflix says, is 'all about embracing playfulness over perfection and finding joy in creating together'.
Season one was not, however, well received by critics and the show has a 3.2 rating out of 10 on imdb.com.
The special holiday episode of With Love, Meghan will air in December.
Netflix invites viewers to 'join Meghan in Montecito for a magical holiday celebration'. PA Media The then-prince of Wales, then-duke and duchess of Cambridge, and the Sussexes attend the Christmas Day morning church service at St Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham in 2018 (Joe Giddens/PA).
It adds: 'Together, friends and family deck the halls, create holiday feasts, craft heartfelt gifts, and share lots of laughs – with simple how-tos to follow at home.
'It's a holiday wonder with warmth, tradition, and a generous dose of joy.'
The Sussexes used to spend Christmas with the royal family at Sandringham but Harry and Meghan, who moved to the US five years ago, last did so in 2018.
Harry is estranged from his brother the Prince of Wales after a bitter fallout and has a troubled relationship with his father the King.
The 'romance feature' is an adaptation of the bestselling novel by Carley Fortune.
'This romantic drama follows a decade-spanning love story that begins with a chance encounter and a broken promise,' Netflix says.

No date has been announced for the project – news of which first emerged two years ago.
The story deals with mental health, postnatal depression and childhood trauma over losing a parent in a car crash, with some of the themes said to have similarities with Harry and Meghan's own experience.
The new documentary short, by Campfire Studios in Association with Wontanara Productions and Archewell Productions, will focus on a tiny orphanage in Uganda which was borne out of the HIV/Aids crisis.
Harry and Meghan are listed among the producers and the documentary will be released later this year.
The duke only recently stepped down from Sentebale, the charity he founded nearly 20 years ago to help children orphaned by Aids in Lesotho, following a boardroom battle with its chairwoman. PA Media Prince Harry during the opening of the Sentebale Mamohato children's centre in Thaba Bosiu, Lesotho, in 2015 (Ian Vogler/Daily Mirror/PA).
Harry, who was left devastated by the development and who is considering starting a new humanitarian charity, vowed to continue his commitment to supporting youngsters in the region.
Netflix says: 'In the heart of Uganda's Masaka region, where the shadows of the HIV/Aids crisis linger, a small orphanage becomes a beacon of hope.
'Masaka Kids, A Rhythm Within goes beyond the viral videos to reveal a vibrant, one-of-a-kind community where orphaned children transform hardship into joy, dancing their way toward healing, belonging, and the promise of a brighter future.'
It is not known whether Harry and Meghan will feature in the documentary.
Archewell Productions says it is 'in active development on additional projects with Netflix that span a variety of content genres'.
The Sussexes' contract has been described as a 'multi-year, first look deal for film and television projects'.

Meghan Markle admits hilarious reason why she 'almost didn't marry' Prince Harry in Netflix trailer
Meghan Markle has released the trailer for her upcoming second season of Netflix show With Love, Meghan and it seems there are plenty of royal confessions coming in the new show. Meghan Markle fans are delighted to have finally received a trailer for the second season of the duchess' Netflix show, With Love, Meghan. The 44-year-old's lifestyle and cooking series has shown a new side to the former Suits star as she has proven herself to be very talented in the kitchen. In the upcoming series, it looks as if we're going to get more of an inside look into the royal household as the trailer features Meghan revealing a little-known fact. Towards the end of the trailer, when the Duchess of Sussex is preparing lobster with chef José Andrés, she explains that husband Prince Harry is not a fan of the fancy crustacean, which is typically a pricey meal. She turns to the foodie expert and says "You know who doesn't like lobster? My husband." The chef is left stunned by her admission as he asks: 'And you married him?', leaving Meghan in fits of laughter in response. It's previously been reported that Royal Family members tend to avoid eating seafood, which may have influenced Prince Harry's dislike for lobster. Former royal butler Grant Harrold told the Daily Express in 2022: "When dining, the Royal Family has to be careful with shellfish due to shellfish poisoning due to their work schedules. "Therefore, you will not normally find this on the royal menu." The mum-of-two, who currently resides in Montecito with Harry and kids Archie and Lilibet, is set to welcome more celebrity pals into her kitchen in the second season of her Netflix show. Some of the famous faces who are expected to be getting their hands dirty alongside the duchess include Chrissy Teigen, Queer Eye star Tan France and author and podcaster, Jay Shetty, Cosmopolitan reports. With Love, Meghan is set to return for its second season on the streaming platform on August 26. Meghan announced the news on Instagram to her 4M Instagram followers on Wednesday evening as she dropped the new trailer and wrote: "The best moments are made to be shared. With Love, Meghan returns August 26th on Netflix." The show is just one programme amidst Harry and Meghan's lucrative deal with Netflix, which started in 2020. The Sussexes are also said to be gearing up to produce an on-screen adaptation of the best-selling novel Meet Me at the Lake by Carly Fortune. However, this has been known for quite some time and there is still no release date in sight. Harry and Meghan have also previously broadcasted their tell-all documentary Harry and Meghan, as well as their show Polo. Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Commenting on the new slate of shows they have in the works, Meghan said: 'My husband and I feel inspired by our partners who work closely with us and our Archewell Productions team to create thoughtful content across genres that resonates globally, and celebrates our shared vision." Bela Bajaria, Netflix's Chief Content Officer, said: 'Harry and Meghan are influential voices whose stories resonate with audiences everywhere. The response to their work speaks for itself — Harry & Meghan gave viewers an intimate look into their lives and quickly became one of our most-watched documentary series. 'More recently, fans have been inspired by With Love, Meghan, with products from the new As Ever line consistently selling out in record time. We're excited to continue our partnership with Archewell Productions and to entertain our members together.'

Wednesday season 2 part 2 trailer lands with huge star and it's not Lady Gaga
Fans will be left stunned at the surprise cast addition Netflix has just dropped the trailer for Wednesday season two, part two, teasing the remaining episodes from the recent run after fans were left confused over only getting four episodes and furiously speculating about the rest of the run. The show landed earlier this month with Wednesday Addams (played by Jenna Ortega) taking on a fresh mystery involving the Willow Hill Asylum, dead Outcasts, and murderous crows. The teaser sees the return of Principal Larissa Weems (Gwendoline Christie) after Wednesday wakes up from her comatose state. Weems grins and says: 'Rise and shine sleepy head,' as Wednesday tries to figure out why she is seeing former Nevermore's headteacher, who was killed off by Marilyn Thornhill/Laurel Gates (Christina Ricci) in season one. Weems goes on to explain: 'This isn't hell, but I understand the confusion', before adding: 'Because I am your new spirit guide, surprise.' READ MORE: Wednesday season 2 explains what happened to Christina Ricci's Laurel Gates after brutal bee attack Weems will now be guiding Wednesday after the teen lost her psychic abilities as well as Goody's book which would have helped her to regain them. Unfortunately, for Wednesday, only no one else can see Weems apart from her. Along with Weems in this new expanded role, Tyler Galpin (Hunter Doohan) is still out on the loose and plans to kill both Enid Sinclair (Emma Myers) and Wednesday. Tyler dons a hooded cloak as he goes undercover and appears to be at Nevermore. Nonetheless, a defiant Wednesday vows to Enid that she will fix the Tyler situation. But her friend tells her: 'Fix it? You're the reason he escaped.' There's also a sneak peek at the gala at Nevermore that Principal Dort (Steve Buscemi) has thrown to raise funds for the school, as well as a Tango between Morticia (Catherine Zeta-Jones) and Gomez (Luis Guzmán). Wednesday later bonds with Grandmama (Joanna Lumley) as they go clay pigeon shooting, before Morticia joins the duo for a supernatural crystal ball reading. Morticia and Wednesday clash as the teen sleuth demands to know the family's big secret, presumably asking both her mother and grandmother about Aunt Ophelia, who's been missing for 20 years. The trailer ends on an ominous note as a voiceover warns: 'There will be a price to pay.' A gravestone suggests Wednesday could also be killed off if she's not careful. Christie teased her return prior to the trailer's drop when she turned up at the Outcast Assembly event as part of the show's Global Doom Tour. The Game of Thrones and Severance actress walked onto the stage as a recording of her voice played. Fans heard the recording of Weems saying: 'Did you really think Nevermore would let me go so easily? I was never gone, you just stopped looking.' The second part will also feature an appearance from Lady Gaga, but it looks like the global pop star and actress hasn't appeared in the trailer. Netflix previously confirmed Lady Gaga will play legendary Nevermore teacher Rosaline Rotwood, who will cross paths with Wednesday. Despite being a no-show in the dream series, it's likely she will be making a grand entrance.

Love Island's Shakira hints at family rift over 'trust issues' with Harry
Love Island runner-up Shakira Khan has revealed why her mum hasn't met her new boyfriend Harry Cooksley yet, even though they left the villa after finding love more than a week ago Shakira Khan has revealed why her mum hasn't met Harry Cooksley yet. The reality star, 24, met and coupled up with Love Island co-star Harry, 30, on the latest series of the ITV2 dating show. In the end, it was Toni Laites and Cach Mercer who walked off with the £50,000 prize, but for Shakira and Harry, love came after weeks of uncertainty as they were involved in a love triangle with Helena Ford. Ramping up the drama, Harry's ex-girlfriend from the outside world, Emma Munro was also thrown into the mix. On Thursday, Shakira and Toni, now best friends, made a joint appearance on Loose Women together to discuss their rise to fame. Former EastEnders actress Nadia Sawalha, who appeared alongside Denise Welch, Frankie Bridge, and anchor Kaye Adams, asked the new TV star how she was managing any 'trust issues' they might have following the ups and downs that played out on screen. Shakira replied: "It was important for us to build back at our own pace, everyone's been together from the start. Everyone's like 'Are you boyfriend and girlfriend, are you exclusive?'" Former Coronation Street star Denise, 67, quickly cut in to ask Shakira if she and Harry had met each other's families yet, and she replied: "Not yet. Well, my mum's been cruising round the Mediterranean, and I've not even home to see my dad. I've not seen my dad in about 10 weeks!" Just then, the Loose Women panel invited Harry into the conversation, who was sitting in the audience, and he spoke of his behaviour throughout his time in the villa. He said: "I like to think I'm living up to what she wants now. I just want to be that person, I am, but I wanted to make the most of my time in the villa and not sit there for eight weeks." And in response, Shakira quipped: "I've always told him that he's not a bad person, he just does silly things!" During his time in the villa, viewers watched as Harry sat back as Helena and Shakira took the triangle drama out on each other. Just days after the final, he has admitted that he hasn't actually spoken to Helena but gave a positive update on the status of their relationship now that the show is over. He told Christine Lampard on last Friday's edition of Lorraine: "I think I definitely handled things in the wrong way with Helena and Shakira. But at the end of the day, Helena and I are now moving forward as friends. I haven't actually spoken to her since I've been out but we had a couple of conversations before she left the villa and I'm delighted it's amicable." It comes after reports of all the celebrities rumoured to be joining BBC Strictly Come Dancing 2025. Christine then quizzed Shakira on how she felt during the whole situation, and she said: "Honestly it was heartbreaking and having to watch it pan out every day was so tough. I think in the outside world you can have a bit of distance, you can speak to each other. It was something I'd never experienced before." Elsewhere in the series, Harry had to deal with his ex-girlfriend Emma Munro arriving as a Bombshell during the Casa Amor portion of the competition and joked that he and the other boys had been hitting the gym every day in an attempt to impress the girls before all the drama unfolded. He added: "I think I was buzzing, all the boys were so buzzing. We were calling it the Promised Land, we were gymming every day. We were training like it was the World Cup final and then the girls would come out, Emma was sat there and I just put my head in my hands. I hadn't seen her for months, probably since last year so it was such a surreal feeling." But in the end, Harry ended up with Shakira and even though they were beaten to the £50,000 prize by Cach and Toni, he knew that Shakira was the one for him in the villa. He explained: "I think it was just one conversation that we had. I would make comments towards her and me actually had a chat one-on-one for the first time in weeks and it was just natural, we expressed how we felt. I'd buried a lot of emotion while I was in there and it just kind of came out." Shakira was initially coupled up with Harry in the early weeks of the competition, but they got together again just days ahead of the final and he told her: "I came in here and thought it would be a lot of fun. Finding you in a villa in Mallorca was not on my bingo card this summer. I do regret taking too long to tell you how I felt. We both know this is more than surface level - I think it always has been for me."
