Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers Already Bonding with New Teammates
New Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is already spending time with his new teammates off the field, as he took part in a charity golf outing for Steelers captain Cam Heyward on Monday.
Heyward held his annual Irons for Impact golf outing at Sewickley Heights Golf Club on Monday, and many of the Steelers' stars were in attendance, including Rodgers, new wide receiver DK Metcalf, first-round pick Derrick Harmon and tight end Pat Freiermuth.

Some Steelers alumni, including Joey Porter Sr., Charlie Batch and Brett Keisel were also participating in the event.
Rodgers and Metcalf were photographed riding in a cart together, as the Steelers' starting quarterback and top wide receiver continue to build the relationship that they started over the summer, when they worked out together in California.
'What a great dude who loves football and what a specimen this guy is,' Rodgers said in an April appearance on The Pat McAfee Show. 'I've had a few conversations with DK. I just think he's a super guy. … I wanted to see how I felt to throw with DK and how the juices felt and how the ball came out. It's all those little things and also just get to know DK. Like I said, that's a really good human being.'

Through The Heyward House, Cam Heyward has raised money and awareness for breast cancer awareness, helped fight illiteracy, childhood hunger, and has given back to those in need through the Craig's Closet program.
Heyward was the 2024 winner of the NFL Walter Payton Man of the Year Award for his excellence both on the field and in the community.
Heyward, Rodgers, Metcalf and the rest of the Steelers crew will get together on the field for the team's mandatory minicamp at UPMC Rooney Sports Complex, starting on Tuesday.
Noticeably absent from the trip to the links was Steelers All-Pro outside linebacker T.J. Watt. It remains to be seen whether he will continue his contract dispute with a hold-out over minicamp, or whether he'll attend but not participate, as he did in 2021.

Diamondbacks sign veteran pitcher Anthony DeSclafani
PHOENIX (AP) — The Arizona Diamondbacks have signed free-agent pitcher Anthony DeSclafani and placed him on the major-league roster Sunday. DeSclafani, 35, recently opted out of a minor-league deal with the New York Yankees. He pitched for their Triple-A team at Scranton, where he had a 4.50 ERA in five starts. Martínez will undergo surgery to repair his ulnar collateral ligament and miss the rest of this season. Arizona has also lost Corbin Burnes (Tommy John surgery) and A.J. Puk has been sidelined since April 17 with elbow inflammation. Puk was shut down from his rehab program last week after experiencing discomfort in his elbow and is consulting about possible surgery. DeSclafani is 54-56 with a 4.20 ERA in his career. He was 13-7 with a 3.17 ERA for San Francisco in 2021, but last pitched in the majors in July 2023. Angel Reese scored the first triple-double of her WNBA career in the Chicago Sky's 78-66 win over the Connecticut Sun on Sunday. The second-year star tallied 11 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists in the victory, adding three steals and two blocks. She got the triple-double with her 10th assist on a jumper by Ariel Atkins with 2:46 remaining in the game. "I was a passer and I could've been a passer all my career," Reese said after the game.
