Emmerdale Dylan star reveals how 'stars aligned' on unexpected comeback story
Back in February Emmerdale viewers were stunned by a special episode which revealed what happened to April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) after she ran away from home. We saw her having a tough time living on the streets and in a squat, and how she was befriended by a young man called Dylan Penders (Fred Kettle), who was also living rough. When April returned to the village, Dylan later came looking for her. Desperate to protect his daughter, Marlon (Mark Charnock) tried to get rid of Dylan – who was battling drug addiction – by various means. Eventually Marlon agreed to pay for rehab for Dylan and the character left the village. Now he's back, and Fred Kettle told us what's in store for Dylan. 'I think Dylan's going to get introduced with a few new characters, including Ray (Joe Absolom),' he revealed. 'There's a bit of a County Lines idea there that we're going to do which has been really fun to play. It's Ray that actually helps him. He sort of takes him under his wing and helps him get away from drugs. 'I think Ray's trying to get him to gain a bit of trust. I feel like there's a little bit of a son father figure relationship going on. So Ray can gain trust to make Dylan deal drugs, basically.' Of course the main attraction of the village, as far as Dylan is concerned, is to see April again, as Fred explained. 'Their bond they had during that special episode, their time on the street, it was so special,' he said. 'They both helped each other get through really, really tough times. And when they parted, I feel like that's all Dylan would be able to think about, you know. So she's bound to be on his mind and he's bound to want to go back and see her.' These two things are quite contrasting, on the one hand dealing drugs for Ray and on the other trying to keep his life together for April. Fred said that Dylan knows that Ray is manipulating him but it's the best option he sees open to him: 'Dylan knows he's doing the wrong thing but it's more morally correct than what he was doing when he was back on the streets.' Whichever way the character goes, Fred is relishing the chance to explore the character some more. Fred had some hints when he was previously at Emmerdale that the character of Dylan might have a future in the show, he revealed. Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins has been thrown into chaos as two stars quit on the very first episode of the new series after a brutal challenge led by the instructors Celeb SAS: Who Dares Wins descended into chaos tonight as two stars quit on the very first episode. The Channel 4 military competition returned to screens for its latest series on Sunday night, but things did not go entirely to plan. Fourteen celebrity recruits, including the likes of Love Island stars Chloe Burrows and Tasha Ghouri, as well as X Factor legend Lucy Spraggan and footballer Adebayo Akinfenwa amongst a host of others were put through their paces by Mark 'Billy' Billingham, Jason 'Foxy' Fox, Rudy Reyes, and Chris Oliver. One of the first phases saw the recruits turn up at an abandoned compound for a hostage rescue mission, described as the 'most dangerous' any of them can take on. Pop star Hannah Spearritt, 44, who shot to fame as part of S Club 7 before going on to an acting career with roles in shows such as Primeval and EastEnders, was seen struggling. And just moments later, it was confirmed that the Reach singer had become the first to leave the course as her co-stars speculated that she had suffered a panic attack. It comes after Channel 4 breaks silence after Gogglebox couple suddenly dumped from show. However, in a confessional aired seconds beforehand, Hannah said: "I am pretty determined. I wouldn't say I give up easily but whether I get to the end or not...I don't think I'll go on the first day because I just wouldn't forgive myself." She went onto tell instructors: "Sorry - I'm done. Sorry. I've reached a point." And she wasn't the only star to fall at the first hurdle, as dancer Louie Spence also dramatically left the show as the tough scenes unfolded. "If there was a world war and they decided they were gonna call everyone up, would I be the first to jump up and say 'Yes me?' Being surrounded my thousands of soldiers, I might just jump at it. I'd be the home guard like on Dad's Army. We'll have a gay Dad's Army. "Honestly, they wouldn't wanna mess with the gays!" But, despite his confidence, just moments later, Chris Fox described the group's effort as "abysmal" after the latest task. He reminded the recruits to think about why they were there and suggested they take things "seriously". Louie piped up: "I wanna do an immediate withdrawal. I just don't have the conviction and I feel as though I'm not dedicated enough," he said as he removed his armband. Chris gave him the chance to put his arm band back on, but Louie refused, so Chris said: "Get your kit." In a previously-filmed confessional, Louie, 56, had said: "I'm a survivor, I would keep battling to survive. I think the worst way for me to leave the course would be to choose to leave. That would really p*** me off," but just seconds later, it was confirmed that he had indeed quit the show." Prior to his swift exit, Louie had sung the praises of the directing staff on the programme, as he said: "I actually looked at them and thought, 'oh, my God', because what they do and what they've done is incredible. I could never do that for real. "Do you know what I mean? They are a different breed, like doctors and surgeons and things like that. So I did look at them in that sense and think that what they really did in their day job was incredible." And when asked for asked with what he struggled most with, he admitted: "Definitely the physical side of the course. "Even though I've struggled with my anxiety and depression, mentally I was in a really strong, good place. It wasn't about an individual which they made very clear at the beginning, it was about the group. I love being a group player, I love being with people. But in that scenario, in the reality of it when I was there, I didn't think I was capable of being a group player."

Jack Osbourne reflects on childhood with dad Ozzy in first TV appearance since his death
Cooking with the Stars contestant Jack Osbourne spoke about his late dad Ozzy Osbourne on the first episode of the new series, which aired earlier tonight on ITV The late Ozzy Osbourne was mentioned by his son Jack Osbourne during a TV appearance that aired tonight. He spoke about his late father whilst competing on Cooking with the Stars. Jack is among the celebrity contestants on the new series of the ITV show. He competed in the first episode, which aired this evening, just over a week after it was announced that Ozzy had died, aged 76. Speaking about his experience with food growing up, he told host Emma Willis whilst making risotto on the show: "There was a lot of Birdseye Potato Waffles." Following surprise from the presenter, he added: "Because I was here until I was 12 and then we went to America [and] it was all take out." He continued: "We'd go through bouts of having a chef but everyone's such ... very picky eaters so chefs don't usually last long in our house. Because all of a sudden my dad's like 'no, I don't like it anymore' even though it's like some amazing chef." Last week, Jack and some of his family announced that musician Ozzy had died, just weeks after he performed in a farewell gig alongside his band Black Sabbath. Sharon Osbourne and four of Ozzy's children issued a joint statement. It read: "It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time. Sharon, Jack, Kelly, Aimee and Louis." Jack competed against reality TV star Jess Wright on Cooking with the Stars tonight. The episode also saw former EastEnders cast member Natalie Cassidy take on radio host Jordan North in the kitchen.
