'Coolie' vs 'War 2' Box office collection day 4: Rajinikanth's starrer edges past Jr NTR-Hrithik Roshan's film in Nizam
Picture Credit: X Rajinikanth's 'Coolie' is enjoying a slight edge at the box office over 'War 2', particularly in the crucial Andhra Pradesh and Telangana markets. The Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial, which was released alongside the Hrithik Roshan–Jr NTR starrer, has emerged as the stronger contender in the Nizam region over its opening weekend. Extended weekend numbers in Nizam As per a report by 123Telugu, the film grossed an impressive Rs 1.6 crore on Sunday, its fourth day in theaters. This pushed the extended weekend total to a solid Rs 12 crore from all languages in Nizam alone. While Sunday's earnings dipped slightly compared to Saturday's Rs 2.65 crore share, the film's overall performance shows its clear hold over audiences. 'War 2' yet to match the pace On the other hand, 'War 2', one of Bollywood's most ambitious action spectacles featuring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR, has struggled to keep up in the region. Its four-day Nizam collection has been pegged at around Rs 10 crore, falling short of Rajinikanth's box office numbers. With both films now stepping into the working week, it remains to be seen whether 'Coolie' can maintain its strong momentum or if 'War 2' will make a late push. All-India collections According to trade analyst Sacnilk, the box office collections for the 2025 films 'Coolie' and 'War 2' reveal a strong showing for both, with 'Coolie' leading the race. 'Coolie,' netted approximately Rs 194.25 crore in India, with day-wise earnings of Rs 65 crore on Day 1, Rs 54.75 crore on Day 2, Rs 39.5 crore on Day 3, and Rs 34 crore on Day 4. Meanwhile, 'War 2' performed well, it faced mixed reviews and comparatively slower growth in overall box office collections than 'Coolie.' Meanwhile, 'War 2', raked in Rs 52 crore on its first day. The film picked up further on Friday, collecting Rs 57.35 crore. However, Saturday saw a sharp dip with earnings of Rs 33.25 crore. On Sunday, the film added another Rs 31 crore as per early estimates. With this, War 2 has amassed an impressive total of Rs 173.60 crore in its four-day extended weekend. Farah Khan Scolded Hrithik Roshan, Ameesha Patel During Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai: ‘Maa-Behen Ki Gaaliyan…'
Last Updated: Ameesha Patel revealed in Farah Khan's vlog that during Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai shoot, she and Hrithik often got 'maa-behen ki gaaliyan' from the filmmaker. Ameesha Patel and Hrithik Roshan made their Bollywood debut with the iconic film Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, and the film became one of the biggest blockbusters of all time. Ameesha and Hrithik gained overnight fame. Most of the songs in Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai (2000) were choreographed by Farah Khan, who was the chief choreographer for the film. Now, Ameesha and Farah came together in the latter's recent vlog, where the actress revealed a fun detail about the shoot. Farah, in her recent vlog, visited Ameesha Patel's house with her chef Dilip, and during the vlog, Ameesha revealed how Farah used to scold and abuse her and Hrithik during the shoot. 'Hum logon ko Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai ke time par, Hrithik aur mujhe jo maa-behen ki gaaliyan milti thi, daant-daant ke sikhate the (During the time of Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, Hrithik and I were scolded harshly, sometimes even with abuses, to make us learn)," Ameesha said. To this, Farah quickly added, 'Yeh jhooth hai — maine Hrithik ko kabhi gaali nahi di, sirf Ameesha ko gaali padhti thi. (But that's a lie — I never abused Hrithik, only Ameesha used to get scolded.)" Ameesha on Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai Recently, Ameesha Patel was snapped by the paparazzi in Mumbai when she claimed that films today do not enjoy 'organic" success. Even though the actress did not name Saiyaara, she stated that it is not right for people to compare 'cult films" to the ones being released now. This came days after, during an 'Ask Me Anything' session on X (formerly Twitter), Ameesha was asked about Ahaan's comparisons to Hrithik. The actress stated that she hasn't watched Saiyaara yet and seemingly mocked Ahaan by saying, 'Baap toh baap hota hai." 'I haven't seen the film but I wish them luck. Ahaan, as per, is a very promising actor… but baap toh baap hai and beta toh beta hi hoga. Dugu is a WAR ahead of most of the stars … 🤣," she wrote. About Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai When Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai was first released 25 years ago, it became a superhit and launched both Ameesha and Hrithik into stardom. In an exclusive chat with News18 Showsha, Ameesha Patel recalled how the film changed her life. She said, 'From being a normal boy and girl-next-door, we became sensations. Rohit and Sonia became the nation's crush. It wasn't an ordinary film. People took home the characters. I was numb for many, many days after that. I don't know how it sank in. It was just surreal!"
