INAUGURATION OF LORD BASAVESHWAR STATUE
CM Revanth Reddy has inaugurated the newly erected statue of lord basaveshwara near bypass at huggelli accompanied by Telangana state Health Minister Damodhar Raja Narasimha, Narayankad MLA Sanjeev Reddy and Cabinet Minister for Forest Evironment and endowment Minster Kond Surekha and the member of paliament Zaheerabad Suresh shetkar.During the short speech CM has said about the importance of various reforms introduced by lord Basaveshwar and his out standing work at unifying the people against caste system followed by inauguration of Kendriya Vidyalaya School,Jharasangam.

As a part of his visit The chief Minister has promised The Indiramma Housing facility to all the farmers who lost their agricultural land in the National investment and manufacturing zone (NIMZ)Zaheerabad.

Quota sub-categorisation ensures marginalised get their share: CJI B R Gavai
NEW DELHI: Nearly a year after penning the seven-judge Supreme Court bench's majority view favouring sub-categorisation of Scheduled Caste quota, India's second Dalit CJI B R Gavai has said the ruling ensured that the most backward among Dalits got a fair share in public employment and admissions to govt educational institutions. Speaking at the Oxford Union on 'From Representation to Realisation: Embodying the Constitution's Promise' on Tuesday night, CJI Gavai stepped into the rare zone of a judge explaining his judgment in public. The seven-judge bench judgment, authored by Justice Gavai, had on Aug 1 last year permitted states to sub-categorise castes within SC communities based on socio-economic backwardness and the degree of under-representation in govt jobs to ensure that the larger pie of 15% quota went to the most backward. The court had asked govts to devise suitable criteria to bar the 'creamy layer' among the SCs from availing reservation. The logic behind the court's suggestion for keeping out the 'creamy layer' was that the children of civil servants and others from among the SCs, who had moved up on the socio-economic ladder and received good education, were not deserving of quotas. In his speech, CJI Gavai said the apex court's decision to uphold the principle of sub-classification within quotas for SCs "was not to question the relevance or success of reservations, but to ensure that the most marginalised within marginalised groups receive their fair share". He said many decades ago, millions of citizens of India were called untouchables, but the country had marched ahead and "here we are today, where a person belonging to those very (untouchable) people is speaking openly, as the holder of the highest office in the judiciary of the country". "This is what the Constitution of India did. It told the people of India that they belong, that they can speak for themselves, and that they have an equal place in every sphere of society and power," he said, adding that it was possible because the prime architect of the Constitution, Dr B R Ambedkar, made inclusivity and equality the bedrock of constitutional values and guarantees.

Revanth meets Rahul Gandhi, portfolio reshuffle likely in the Cabinet
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy's extended two-day visit to New Delhi and his meetings with the Congress high command, including a crucial one-on-one with Rahul Gandhi for 75 minutes, triggered strong speculation about the reshuffle in Cabinet portfolios in Telangana. While the official reason for the trip was to finalise portfolio allocations for the newly inducted ministers — G. Vivek Venkatswamy, Vakiti Srihari, and Adluri Laxman — sources suggest that the discussions went far beyond routine issues. The summoning of senior Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy to National Capital suggest that the party high command is serious on the reshuffle of the portfolios. There were rumours of Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka also being called, but his office confirmed his presence in Hyderabad. The Congress high command appears keen on ensuring that the allocation of portfolios aligns not just with governance priorities but also with political aspects in the wake of Congress party's push for greater representation of downtrodden sections. A senior leader indicated that the portfolio distribution may undergo notable adjustments based on strategic considerations. Among the newly inducted ministers, G. Vivek Venkatswamy is said to be actively lobbying for a significant portfolio, leveraging his proximity to the Central leadership and his father late Venkataswamy's connections with those who matter. Beyond the Cabinet issues, Mr. Revanth Reddy used the Delhi visit to invite Mr. Rahul Gandhi for the public meetings proposed to be organised to celebrate the party's successful attempts on BC caste survey and SC categorisation. The broader governance narratives like distribution of fine rice to more than 3 crore people, ending segregation of BC, SC, ST and Minority residential schools and Rising Telangana were also explained. It is also said that Mr. Revanth Reddy clarified on his comments describing his political journey as 'coming from BJP school, TDP college, and now working for Rahul Gandhi' that created a storm among political circles here.
