Shocking new footage of women fighting at footy game surfaces as radio star says brawling AFL fans get special treatment compared to soccer supporters
Queensland Police are investigating the unsavoury incident which took place at around 7.05pm on Saturday after the Sydney Swans defeated the Brisbane Lions.
Video footage shows two women throwing punches at each other at the Gabba while several men also brawl in the background.
Several people were left bloodied and bruised by the incident, with those involved being removed from the venue by police.
A spokesperson for Queensland Police said they are aware of the incident and that further investigations will be conducted.
Melbourne radio host Jacqui Felgate weighed in on the ugly incident, insisting that media coverage would be very different if the brawl had occurred during a soccer match.

'If this happened at the soccer it would be a big deal,' Felgate said on 3AW.
'It'd be in all the papers and we would cover it on this program. We would have a debate about soccer hooliganism.
'It got me thinking... it seems like there is one rule for the soccer where police come out and the government comes out and they make a thing of it...
'I couldn't think of a time recently where the soccer fans are actually brawling.'
Felgate then went on to explain that the AFL has had three 'really violent incidents' in recent times that she would not want her children to be close to at a match.
'We cannot sit here and judge soccer fans as hooligans and have a massive go at them and talk about ethnic rivalry - which we do on a broader level - and not say "hang on a minute, I think the AFL might have a bit of a problem",' she said.
Felgate's comments certainly struck a chord with Aussie soccer fans, with several taking to social media to commend her for speaking out.
'Amen, Jacqui Felgate. About time football fans were treated with more respect in light of violent incidents at the AFL,' posted journalist Sacha Pisani.
'100% top call,' posted another.
'She's bang on the money here. Glad to finally see AFL media recognising the blatant double standards in their coverage of the two sports,' posted a third.
The recent incident comes after Channel 7 star Andy Maher was caught in ugly scenes at the MCG while watching Carlton play Collingwood last month.
Security guards had to step in when Maher was confronted by a spectator he later described as 'pretty pi**ed' and 'munted'.
'Hopefully he woke up the next morning feeling like a right git because he carried on like a pork chop,' Maher said afterwards.

Rollie inspired to push for Lions recognition
Chloe Rollie says the British and Irish Lions' series win in Australia has fuelled her desire to be part of the inaugural women's tour in first female Lions squad will head for New Zealand in two years' time and Scotland full-back Rollie would love to be part of that historic says watching Andy Farrell's Lions – featuring the likes of Scotland's Finn Russell, Sione Tuipulotu, Huw Jones and Blair Kinghorn – defeat the Wallabies this summer gave her a taste of what might be possible in her own future."I think in the past it's not really had that effect because it was it was never an opportunity that we thought we were going to have," Rollie told the BBC Scotland Rugby Podcast."Now watching it and seeing all the different nations coming together and performing as a team, it really pushes you to want to do that as well."I would say it's probably the pinnacle of your career. It's definitely a target that I personally want to push for."Looking at the men's side, there was a lot of Scots in it and that makes us really proud as a nation and I think there's no reason why that can't be the same in the women's side."We're a small nation but that doesn't matter, we still want to strive to be the best of the best of world rugby."

Fox News accidentally shows very unfortunate video while discussing Taylor Swift's new album
Fox News accidentally cut to footage of a violent brawl during a report about Taylor Swift. The b-roll-related blunder could be seen on Tuesday's Fox & Friends. Reporter Carley Shimkus was in the midst of speaking about Swift's newly announced album. But rather than a clip from the podcast where the pop star made the revelation, viewers were met with footage from the viral Cincinnati beatdown that left six injured last month. 'Well, that was not the clip,' Shimkus mused. 'You know, sometimes I just take something out of my pocket and throw it into the TV and it's the wrong thing,' she joked, as showrunners cut the clip in question. In its place, a sequence of stills showing Swift performing populated the broadcast. The album, titled The Life of a Showgirl, is the singer's 12th. A release date has not yet been announced. Scroll down for video: As for the broadcast, it went on as usual. Shimkus told hosts Ainsley Earhardt, Brian Kilmeade, and Lawrence Jones that 'Swifties' can expect the new release 'soon.' 'Those are headlines. Back to you.' Daily Mail contacted Fox News for comment. The footage from the fight recorded in Cincinnati, meanwhile, has ignited controversy across the country, calling attention to increased incidents of violent crime in certain cities. A seventh suspect related to the incident, which occurred on July 26, was arrested on Monday on charges of alleged aggravated riot and aggravated robbery. He was identified Tuesday as 32-year-old Gregory Wright. The six other defendants were indicted by a grand jury for their alleged roles in the conflict last week. They are: Patrick Rosemond, 38, Jermaine Matthews, 39, Montianez Merriweather, 34, DeKyra Vernon, 24, Dominique Kittle, 37, and Aisha Devaughn, 25. Each are charged with three counts of alleged felonious assault, three charges of assault and two charges of aggravated rioting, the Hamilton County Prosecutor's Office said. 'What I saw on video is not the Cincinnati I know and love,' Hamilton County Prosecutor Connie Pillich said in a statement laying bare the charges last week. 'These charges hold those involved in the attack accountable.'
