MLA Vijayudu Offers Special Prayers at Sri Jogulamba and Bala Brahmeshwara Temples on Auspicious Ashada Friday
Upon arrival at the temple, the MLA was warmly welcomed by temple authorities and priests with traditional temple honors. As part of the ceremonial proceedings, he participated in special pujas and rituals dedicated to Goddess Jogulamba and Lord Bala Brahmeshwara Swamy. The priests performed rituals according to temple traditions and later honored the MLA with Sesha Vastram (holy cloth) and offered him Teertha Prasadam as blessings from the deities.
In a gesture of devotion and goodwill, MLA Vijayudu also distributed prasadam to the devotees present at the temple premises, sharing the spiritual blessings of the occasion with the general public.
The event saw the participation of BRS party leaders, local activists, and devotees, who accompanied the MLA during the darshan and rituals. The visit highlighted the MLA's continued spiritual connection with the ancient temples of Alampur and his engagement with the local religious and cultural activities of the constituency.
The Jogulamba temple, one of the Ashta Dasha Shakti Peethas in the country, holds immense religious significance, especially during Ashada Fridays when thousands of devotees flock to receive divine blessings.

HYDERABAD: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Friday said that over 6,500 phones, including those of politicians like BRS legislators and ministers, barring those of the then chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, former minister KT Rama Rao and former Rajya Sabha member J Santhosh Kumar, were tapped during the previous regime. After deposing before the Special Investigation Team (SIT), which is investigating the phone-tapping case, Sanjay also claimed that phones of former minister T Harish Rao, and KCR's daughter Kavitha and her husband, too were tapped. Speaking to the media here, Sanjay said that he had submitted some information and confidential reports to the SIT. Congress to proceed with local body polls after August 15
HYDERABAD: Fresh off its three-day protest in New Delhi over enhanced reservations for Backward Classes (BCs), the ruling Congress has decided to go for the much-awaited local body elections in the state, insiders insist. Sources said the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) is likely to convene a Political Affairs Committee (PAC) meeting on August 13 or 14 to review the party's protest in Delhi, counter-strategies of the BRS and BJP, and preparations for the polls to elect sarpanches, MPTCs and ZPTCs across the state. The meeting date is expected to be finalised on Monday or Tuesday. Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, along with his Cabinet colleagues, MPs, MLCs and senior Congress leaders, staged protests in the national capital demanding that the Union government pass a bill sent by the Telangana Assembly and an Ordinance seeking to raise BC reservations to 42% as well as amend the Telangana Panchayat Raj Act to remove the 50% cap. The government is likely to notify local body polls after August 15 or 18. The State Election Commission has reportedly completed arrangements to conduct elections for MPTC and ZPTC positions. Existing reservation patterns are expected to continue, with district election officers (usually collectors) tasked with finalising reservations at the village and mandal levels. Although legislative attempts to mandate 42% BC reservations were not successful, Congress plans to implement this informally. The party also intends to challenge the BJP and BRS to adopt similar BC quotas while distributing tickets. BJP state president N Ramchander Rao has indicated that the party is open to allotting a large share of seats to BC candidates. BRS leaders have suggested, without formal confirmation, that they may field more BC candidates than the Congress.

Speaking to the ANI, Rao noted that BJP leader Bandi Sanjay was summoned to record his statement in connection with the case. "Today, the phone tapping case investigation was in progress, and Bandi Sanjay was called for his statement. The Congress government doesn't appear to be serious about the issue. So far, they have arrested only the officials, but they have not laid their hands on any political leaders who are responsible for the phone tapping. The CBI is the only answer for it. There will be a proper investigation done only if the investigation is given to the CBI. We demand that this phone tapping case be given to CBI for further investigation," he Friday, Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar demanded that the Telangana government hand over the investigation into the alleged phone tapping during the previous BRS regime to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI)."It has been confirmed that judges' phones were tapped, right? In fact, I was the first person to expose the issue of phone tapping," he said."I was shocked to hear the revelations made by the SIT police during the inquiry. Whatever political programs I planned, the police already knew about them in advance. They used to call our staff and ask, 'You are planning this particular program, right?' Now I understand--it was all because of the phone tapping. That's why, during KCR's regime, everyone used only WhatsApp calls. Even beggars wouldn't use regular phone calls--this shows the extent of atrocities under the BRS rule," the Karimnagar MP added that he has handed over all related information and evidence to the SIT. The phone tapping issue had earlier triggered a political row in June this year, when BRS Working President KT Rama Rao (KTR) issued a legal notice to Telangana Congress chief Mahesh Kumar Goud over allegations.
