The gathering has drawn the party's top brass, including chief minister Vishnu Deo Sai, deputy CM Vijay Sharma, ten state cabinet ministers, 44 MLAs, and ten BJP MPs.
Senior leaders like Union ministers Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Dharmendra Pradhan, B.L. Santosh, Vinod Tawde, and Shiv Prakash will lead twelve training sessions spread across the three days. According to party officials, the sessions are strictly closed-door and restricted to BJP MPs and MLAs, focusing on improving governance, public engagement, and upcoming election strategies.
CM Sai, while arriving in Ambikapur on Sunday night, stated that the training will open "new dimensions of development" in the state and help representatives connect better with the grassroots.
The opening day featured the first two training sessions led by Nadda himself.
Nadda's special address aimed to sharpen the effectiveness of BJP leaders in governance and public outreach. Speaking to the media, BJP's Chhattisgarh in-charge Nitin Nabin took a direct swipe at Congress leaders Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi. "They should learn from the BJP," Nabin said. "Rahul Gandhi hasn't even mastered basic political etiquette.

The training camp will continue over the next two days, with sessions led by Union ministers and senior BJP strategists. The training sessions will cover a range of governance topics including the responsibilities of elected representatives in a 'double-engine' government, methods for enhancing public confidence, effective delivery of welfare schemes, and strengthening the organizational role of lawmakers.
Emphasis is also being placed on refining public conduct and aligning elected officials with local expectations.
Participants will be served traditional Chhattisgarhi cuisine, including millet-based dishes and the indigenous Lakda flower chutney, as part of "vocal for local."
The opposition Congress party has strongly criticized the event, dismissing it as political theatre. State Congress communication head Sushil Anand Shukla accused the BJP of misusing public funds and claimed the training was not about public service but about teaching leaders "how to hide corruption." He described the event as a drama intended to distract from the alleged failures of the BJP govt.

In the evening, he is scheduled to participate in a business conference hosted by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). Meanwhile, the CM has directed municipal administration and urban development (MAUD) dept officials to consider the demands of outsourcing engineering workers. He also asked the cabinet sub-committee constituted to study the issues pertaining to outsourcing employees to resolve the issues for the benefit of workers. Outsourcing employees in the MAUD are demanding equal pay for equal work, restoration of Andhra Pradesh corporation for outsourced services (APCOS), enhanced ex gratia, increase in minimum wages, and reopening of provident fund accounts. MAUD's engineering wing workers are demanding equal pay to that of regular sanitation workers. The state govt constituted a group of ministers (GoM) to hold talks with the agitating outsourcing workers. The GoM, headed by MAUD minister P Narayana, discussed the workers' demands and the same was explained to the chief minister. Naidu asked Narayana to take a decision which should benefit the workers wherever possible. He approved most of the suggestions made by the GoM and directed them to end the stalemate at the earliest. Narayana said the issue would be resolved very soon as some of them are to be announced with the concurrence of the finance dept. Once the finance dept approves the proposals, an official announcement will be made from the govt side on the demands of outsourcing workers, he added.

Consumers owe Jal Board Rs 1.42 lakh cr in pending water bills, Delhi Police top defaulter
The residents of Delhi owe the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) Rs 1.42 lakh crore in pending water bills, officials have said. Of this, domestic consumers only owe the board Rs 15,000 crore, or 10.5% of the total amount. Officials said that consumers in the commercial category owe the DJB Rs 66,000 crore, followed by government departments, whose unpaid bills stand at Rs 61,000 crore, while domestic consumers owe the board Rs 15,000 crore. In the government category, officials said, Delhi Police tops the list of defaulters, followed by Delhi and Central government departments. At present, there are around 26.5 lakh consumers in 41 zones of DJB, said officials. The government is already working on a one-time scheme to waive the late payment surcharge (LPSC) of water bills of consumers falling under domestic and government categories. 'Work on the plan is currently going on. The plan will be ready in the next one-and-a-half months… by September. The government will waive LPSC charges. People will only have to pay the principal amount… the modalities for the same are being prepared,' Water Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh said. According to officials, the pending bills have been adding up over the last 10 years. 'There are about 29 lakh water connections in Delhi, which is very less as compared to the city's population. The problem is that 70%-80% of the consumers claim that they have received inflated bills. Many also complain about irregular readings… To at least get the basic principal amount from domestic consumers, which stands at Rs 5,600 crore to Rs 6,000 crore, the government is planning to bring the waiver scheme,' said an official. Also, to avoid metering issues in the future, the government is planning to revamp the billing system and implement smart meters to collect water bills in Delhi, officials said. Officials further said that the government plans to do away with the scheme to provide 20,000 liters of free water per month to every household with a functional water meter. 'The scheme was brought by the previous AAP government. The BJP government is planning to make this scheme exclusive to people from the economically weaker sections, who genuinely require free water,' the official said. Officials further said the BJP government plans to revise water tariffs in Delhi.

AAP leader and former Delhi chief minister, Atishi, on Saturday said that the BJP government has started preparations to demolish jhuggi-jhopri (JJ) clusters in Nangli Dairy, just months after razing Madrasi Camp, Jailerwala Bagh, and Bhoomiheen Camp. Speaking to mediapersons, Atishi said, 'Ahead of elections, BJP leaders conducted symbolic stays in jhuggi-jhopri clusters, shared meals with residents, played ludo and carrom with children, and distributed 'Jhuggi ke sthaan par pakka makaan' cards.' 'While Prime Minister Narendra Modi has repeatedly claimed that not a single slum would be demolished in Delhi… the moment Delhi elections were over and the BJP came to power, they began tearing down the homes of the poor. The very jhuggis where they made promises are now the first to face bulldozers,' she added. Atishi, Leader of Opposition in the Delhi Assembly, said the BJP government is now preparing to demolish slums in Nangli Dairy. 'Two days ago, the BJP-run MCD pasted demolition notices on homes in the cluster, which has 250-300 jhuggis. Residents have been labelled 'encroachers' and warned that unless they submit documents within five days, their homes will be demolished,' she added. Maintaining that AAP stands firmly with the poor, Atishi said, 'Whether it's in court, at the MCD, in the Delhi Assembly or out on the streets, AAP will fight shoulder to shoulder with jhuggi dwellers. We will not allow the BJP to demolish these homes.'
