How do I get there?
The festival is once again taking over the Harvard Athletic Complex in Allston, so your best bet for getting to the fest is via public transportation, as there will be no on-site parking available, and strict towing and ticketing is expected in the surrounding area.
Instead, take the T, because the main entrance at 65 N. Harvard St. is just a short walk from the Red Line at Harvard Square station. The 66 and 86 bus routes also stop at the stadium. For fans taking the commuter rail, the Boston Landing station is about a mile walk from the fest.
If you don't plan on taking the T, rideshare is another option, with drop offs allowed near the entrance. However, fans using rideshare to leave Boston Calling at the end of the evening should follow the signs to the designated rideshare pickup area.
What's the weather going to be like?
The Globe's Dave Epstein

Meanwhile, Saturday should see temperatures hit the 60s by mid to late afternoon, 'before falling back into the 50s in the evening,' according to Epstein, who doesn't expect 'any shower activity of significance.'
For the final day of the fest, Epstein offers a sunny outlook, with temperatures hitting 'the low to perhaps mid-60s' in the afternoon. 'If you were picking which day to go to the festival based on the weather, this is the one to mark on your calendar,' writes Epstein.

Antisemitic slur flung at Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy outside Toronto restaurant

Barstool Sports owner Dave Portnoy was subjected to an antisemitic slur while recording a video in Toronto on Monday. Portnoy visited an Italian restaurant called Terrazza to film one of his "One Bite Pizza Reviews" videos. Before he was about to take his one bite, an unseen man shouted "f--- the Jews" towards Portnoy, who is Jewish. "See? There we go," Portnoy remarked while some other young men behind him, none of whom made the remark, began snickering. Portnoy then turned back towards the men and chided, "What are you guys f---ing laughing about?" The young men immediately stopped laughing, with one of them replying, "terrible." Portnoy continued, saying that he would not let the slur get in the way. "What is that Toronto hospitality there?" Portnoy commented. "That's terrible, terrible," Portnoy's friend Bill the Greek remarked. "There's old school and then there's no school." "There's no school," Portnoy agreed. He went on to compliment the restaurant and gave the pizza a 7.4 score. Portnoy was wrapped up in another antisemitic incident last month when a sign that read "f--- the Jews" was spotted at one of Barstool Sports' bars in Philadelphia. Though he initially described feeling "f---ing mad" and itching to "ruin these people," Portnoy later announced that he was sending the alleged culprits responsible to visit Auschwitz in Poland to turn the incident into a teaching moment on the Holocaust. "These are young f---ing morons who did this. They're drunk. Do you really want to ruin somebody's life?" Portnoy said. "And let me be honest, I don't know what's going on in the world… I've been doing Barstool for 20 years, I've had more hate, more antisemitism in the last year, year and a half, than I've ever had doing it." However, he later revoked the offer to one of the accused men after he claimed the young man denied responsibility for what happened.

The Frick Museum Is Opening its Very First Restaurant in 89 Years

The Frick Collection is opening its new museum restaurant this week. Westmoreland will open on the Upper East Side at 1 East 70th Street, near Fifth Avenue, on the second floor starting on Friday, June 6. The Danny Meyer-founded Union Square Events is running the cafe and bar, led by chef Skyllar Hughes, who had most recently been at Italian restaurant Ci Siamo. This means an initial American menu with dishes like tuna nicoise, tagliatelle pomodoro, club sandwiches, and strawberry tarts, alongside baked goods such as croissants and kale-ricotta scones. Drinks include American and European wines, nonalcoholic options, and cocktails that are inspired by the museum's video and book Cocktails With a Curator . The 50-seat restaurant is open to people visiting the museum only; day-of reservations have to be made in person by visitors with tickets or museum members. It's part of the museum's overall renovations, which debuted back in April. The name comes from the Frick family's private train car that they used to travel across the Northeast in the 1900s. Union Square Events is also opening a restaurant, Babette, within the forthcoming members-only club Moss. Details on PDT co-owner's other new bar Iconic East Village speakeasy Please Don't Tell co-owner Jeff Bell is in the middle of opening a three-part dining-and-drinking complex in the West Village. There's going to be an agave bar, Mixteca, and the first East Coast location of famed Los Angeles taqueria Tacos 1986. There's also going to be a new cocktail bar evoking the glamorous post-Prohibition nightclubs of New York, as reported by Substack the Mix. Kees will open at 1 Cornelia Street, at West Fourth Street, in the fall. Bell tells the newsletter that he wants Kees to work as a 'special occasion place' that 'capture[s] the essence' of places like the Stork Club and El Morroco. The basement bar will be able to fit 55 people (with a 12-seat bar). It'll serve classic cocktails and other iterations. There will be wine by sommelier Dustin Wilson and food. The bar's name had been a nickname for Cornelius, who had been one of Bell's relatives who came from Holland to New York in the 1600s. It also works as a play on the word 'key' and 'seek.' Berlin Korean fried chicken pop-up makes New York debut A Korean fried chicken pop-up from Berlin is making its way into New York City this week. Eating Fantasy's pop-up is taking place in Bushwick at Orion Bar on Thursday, June 5, from 6 p.m. until everything is sold out. Chef Häran Kim, who started the pop-up in 2023, will serve Korean fried chicken with varying sauces. Sign up for our newsletter.
