Joe Biden vs. Kamala Harris? Expert predicts explosive clash after her new book drops

Time of Indiaa day ago
A political storm may be building in the
Democratic Party
, with one presidential expert cautioning of an 'explosive clash' between President
Joe Biden
and his former vice president,
Kamala Harris
. The prediction comes amid anticipation grows surrounding Harris's forthcoming memoir,
107 Days
, which is expected to chronicle her 2024 presidential run and her complicated relationship with Biden's closest confidants.
From Partnership to Potential Rivalry
For years, Biden and Harris showed unity standing together through a challenging presidency highlighted by pandemic recovery, foreign crises, and deeply divided political climate at home. Yet political watchers suggest that bonds may now be fraying. According to insider reports, Harris's book could include candid assessments of Biden's leadership pattern, decision-making, and campaign direction, painting a less-than-flattering picture of the president.
Presidential historian
Leon Wagener
issued caution: 'If Harris names names and Biden's team feels cornered, this could escalate quickly into all-out political warfare.' Such remarks hint that Biden's allies are signalling to respond forcefully if the memoir ignites public criticism.

The Stakes for Both Sides
Biden's allies are reportedly protective of his legacy, mainly following his withdrawal from the 2024 race after the wake of a lackluster debate performance. For them, any suggestion that the president faltered in his roles could tarnish his historical image.
Harris, meanwhile, faces her own political crossroads. Though she retains influence within the party, her national approval ratings have been uneven, and questions about her readiness for higher office have persisted. A revealing memoir could help her reclaim control of her public narrative but it could also widen the existing rifts within the party.

All Eyes on 107 Days
With the release of Harris's book launch nears, curiosity about its contents is intensifying. Will it be an honest, behind-the-scenes account focused on transparency? Or will it be a political manifesto, setting the stage for her next scenario in public life? The tone and substance of its pages determine whether the weeks ahead bring only a brief flare-up or ignite a drawn-out feud within the party. What is undeniable is that: the alliance between Biden and Harris once held up as a model of Democratic solidarity is on the brink of one of its most toughest trials yet.

US makes major visa announcement for Gazans; Laura Loomer claimed Palestinian refugees flooding airports

US announces halting all visitors' visa from Gaza. The State Department made a major announcement of halting all visitor visas for people from Gaza for the time being, as it conducts a full and thorough review of the "process and procedures" used to issue medial-humanitarian visas in recent days. 'All visitor visas for individuals from Gaza are being stopped while we conduct a full and thorough review of the process and procedures used to issue a small number of temporary medical-humanitarian visas in recent days,' the department wrote in a statement posted to X. The announcement came after MAGA activist Laura Loomer ranted for a day how Palestinians have been entering the country via a humanitarian organization through various airports. Loomer questioned how so many Palestinians were getting visa from the State Department. Loomer said she obtained video footage of Palestinians who claim to be refugees from Gaza coming into the US via San Francisco and Houston. "The Palestinians traveled from Gaza to the US with the help of a group called 'Heal Palestine'. How did Palestinians get visas under the Trump administration to get into the United States? Did @StateDept approve this? How did they get out of Gaza? Is @SecRubio aware of this?" Loomer ranted. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Could This NEW Collagen Blend Finally Reduce Your Cellulite? Loomer said the administration needed to shut this before a family member of one of these Gazans turn rogue and kills Americans for Hamas. 'Deeply concerned about the incoming flights - including to Texas - allegedly filled with folks from Gaza as reported by @LauraLoomer. Inquiring,' Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas) wrote on Friday. Earlier this month, France suspended evacuations from Gaza after a Palestinian student allegedly shared a social media post with an image of Adolf Hitler that called for killing Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot told France Info radio that the woman "must leave the country" and that she "has no place" in France. "No evacuation of any kind will take place until we have drawn the necessary conclusions from this investigation," Barrot said in the interview.

Delhi's infra boost: PM Modi to inaugurate Dwarka Expressway, UER-II; Rs 11,000 crore project to decongest Capital

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate two major National Highway projects in Delhi on Sunday, with a combined value of nearly Rs 11,000 crore. The inauguration marks a significant step in government's broader plan to ease congestion in the capital and improve connectivity across the region. The projects: the Delhi section of the Dwarka Expressway and the Urban Extension Road-II (UER-II), are expected to greatly cut travel time, decongest arterial routes, and provide smoother links between Delhi and its neighbouring cities. The 10.1 km Delhi section of the Dwarka Expressway has been built at a cost of around Rs 5,360 crore. It will not only help traffic movement but also provide multi-modal connectivity to Yashobhoomi, the DMRC Blue and Orange lines, the upcoming Bijwasan railway station, and the Dwarka cluster bus depot. Alongside this, the Alipur to Dichaon Kalan stretch of the Urban Extension Road-II (UER-II), including new links to Bahadurgarh and Sonipat, has been developed at a cost of Rs 5,580 crore. This new corridor will ease pressure on Delhi's Inner and Outer Ring Roads, as well as busy intersections such as Mukarba Chowk, Dhaula Kuan, and NH-09. According to officials, Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the full 76-km UER-II, developed as the third Ring Road of Delhi, and the 29-km Dwarka Expressway on Sunday. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Could This NEW Collagen Blend Finally Reduce Your Cellulite? The Dwarka Expressway, fully operational, has been built in four packages at a cost of around Rs 9,000 crore. Its Haryana section was inaugurated by Modi in March 2024, just before the Lok Sabha elections. Meanwhile, the UER-II was executed in five packages with a total cost of Rs 7,716 crore. As per the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), the UER-II begins at Alipur on NH-44 and connects with NH-9 and NH-48 in Delhi. Of the 76 km stretch, 54.2 km lies in Delhi while the remaining 21.5 km falls in Haryana. Conceived under the Delhi Master Plan 2021, it will also link the proposed IICC in Dwarka via the Dwarka Expressway, as per a TNN report.
