Ravens dominate ESPN's tight end rankings with two players in the top 10
There isn't a Baltimore citizen or member of the Ravens fan base who doesn't remember Andrews' fumble or his drop during the final two-point attempt. We apologize for bringing that up and any painful memories it may evoke. The point is this.

No one feels worse about those mistakes than Andrews. He shouldn't be judged solely on a bad game. His resume has proven that.

Mark Andrews and Isaiah Likely are ranked among the NFL's top tight ends by NFL executives.
ESPN's Jeremy Fowler has offered an interesting series to help kick off the NFL summer. He has been polling coaches, scouts, and front office personnel and using the information gathered to rank the top ten players at every position.
Recently, the topic shifted to tight ends. Two Ravens, Andrews and Isaiah Likely, cracked the list at six and eight, respectively.
"Elite instincts. A QB's best friend. (He) Dominates the middle of the field (and) understands zones and man-to-man better than anyone outside of Kelce. Baltimore is a totally different team without him. Bummer about the playoff game thing because this guy is a total G."
That was an unnamed NFL coordinator's take on Andrews. A veteran head coach said the following about Mr. Likely.
"He's a matchup guy. Very loose... (He) can separate... Big catch radius... Pretty diverse route tree..."
Andrews and Likely sandwich T.J. Hockenson on this ranking. Both land behind Brock Bowers, George Kittle, Sam LaPorta, Trey McBride, and Travis Kelce. They land ahead of Dallas Goedert and David Njoku.

One could make the argument that, based on the criteria, fellow Raven Charlie Kolar also could have landed in the top ten. He won't catch many passes, not in this offense, but he provides value in so many other ways.
This is the NFL's best trio at the position. All are in contract seasons. Decisions need to be made, but until then, Lamar has a wealth of talent at his disposal. No one needs scouts or front office personnel to tell them that.

Recently waived 49ers WR signs with new team
The San Francisco 49ers have been forced to make frequent transactions early in training camp due to injuries, allowing some talented players to be exposed to waivers and free agency, including wide receiver Isaiah Neyor. San Francisco waived Neyor as part of their 10 transactions before Monday's training camp session, and while he went unclaimed on Tuesday, he opted to sign a deal with the Green Bay Packers. The 24-year-old was a two-star recruit out of Lamar High School in Arlington, Texas, before beginning his collegiate career at Wyoming where he earned All-Mountain West in his third year there. In 2022, Neyor transferred to Texas, and two years he later, he made his way to Nebraska. In his six years between three schools, Neyor appeared in 33 games and caught 87 passes for 1,595 yards and 17 touchdowns. His best single year came in Wyoming in 2021, when he recorded 44 receptions for 870 yards and a conference-leading 12 touchdowns. Now, Neyor will get an opportunity to compete for a depth spot in a talented receiver room that also includes 2025 first-round pick Matthew Golden, Romeo Doubs, Christian Watson, Jayden Reed, Dontayvion Wicks, Mecole Hardman and more. It's unclear if the 49ers had interest in bringing Neyor back, but if they did, they didn't act fast enough or show enough interest to get him in the building again. Now, their wide receiver room is 12 deep, including Brandon Aiyuk (PUP), Jauan Jennings, Ricky Pearsall, Jordan Watkins, Demarcus Robinson, Jacob Cowing, Russell Gage, Terique Owens, Junior Bergen, Isaiah Hodgins, Robbie Chosen and Equanimeous St. Brown. It would've been tough for Neyor to crack San Francisco's 53-man roster at wideout, but he could've been in play for a practice squad spot had he made it through the rest of training camp and the preseason article originally appeared on Niners Wire: WR Isaiah Neyor lands with Packers after release from 49ers

Is Caitlin Clark playing today? Injury status for Fever vs. Mercury
Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark is not expected to play on Thursday against the Phoenix Mercury. Clark has missed eight consecutive games due to a right groin injury suffered in the Fever's win over the Connecticut Sun on July 15. There's still no official timetable for her return, but she continues to travel with the team. She was seen at Arena in Los Angeles as the Fever lost 100-91 to the Sparks on Tuesday. The loss snapped Indiana's five-game win streak. Clark underwent additional medical evaluations late last month, but the results showed "no additional injuries or damage." She's dealt with multiple injuries this season that have kept her out of action. She was previously sidelined for five games due to a left quad injury and four games with a left groin injury. Clark also missed the Fever's Commissioner's Cup win and the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game and 3-point competition. Will Caitlin Clark play today? Injury update for Fever-Mercury No, Clark is not expected to play. She was not listed as a probable starter for Thursday's game on the team's website.
