Miley Cyrus Got a 'Brutal Infection' after Filming on Hollywood Walk of Fame

Yara Sameh
Miley Cyrus shared that she got a 'brutal infection' after rolling around on the Hollywood Walk of Fame while filming her upcoming film, accompanying her new album, "Something Beautiful".
The Grammy-winning singer opened up during a recent appearance on
Jimmy Kimmel Live!
that due to her budget for the project, she decided to go to the iconic landmark at night to film, as there would be fewer people around. However, she 'caught something' in the process.
'I filmed this video in October, and by November, on Thanksgiving, I was put in ICU for a moment,' Cyrus said, clarifying that she was admitted into the intensive care unit, specifically, because the hospital was full due to the holiday.
'My leg began to disintegrate…around the kneecap area,' she added. 'And then the doctor goes, 'Do you have any idea why you would have such a brutal infection on your kneecap?''
The 'Flowers' singer said that's when the memory of her dancing on the ground in Hollywood popped into her head.
'I had to tell him, and to have a surgeon look at you and say, 'Yuck,'' Cyrus recalled. 'They open up cadavers. They see inside the guts of humans, and they're looking at me, telling me I'm disgusting. And they do brain operations!'.
Cyrus' visual album is set for a big-screen release on June 12, shortly after her ninth studio album, "Something Beautiful", dropped on May 30.
The new film is described as 'a unique visual experience fueled by fantasy' and a 'one of a kind pop opera.'
The 'We Can't Stop' singer also admitted that she had a 'big dream' and a 'pretty good budget' for the film, but 'spent it all on my clothes.'
'So then when it came time to go to the Walk of Fame, they're like, 'So what are you going to do? Are you going to rent this thing or what, 'cause that's really out of your price range.' I'm like, 'No, we'll just go in the middle of the night.' Have you been to the Walk of Fame in the middle of the night?' she asked the host in a concerned tone. 'I thought it was my last day.'
Cyrus later felt bad because she 'wanted this video to be so fabulous and now I've just told everyone such a filthy [story].' However, Kimmel quickly recounted, 'No, what you've told everyone is that you sacrificed for this, you nearly gave your life for this.'

Russell Crowe, Shailene Woodley, Annabelle Walli, Jacob Tremblay to Star in Ted Kaczynski Thriller "Unabom"

Yara Sameh Russell Crowe, Shailene Woodley, Annabelle Wallis, and Jacob Tremblay have signed on to star in "Unabom", a new thriller on terrorist Ted Kaczynski to be directed for Netflix and MRC by Janus Metz. Inspired by true events, "Unabom" originated as a spec from Sam Chalsen and Nelson Greaves, the writers behind Radio Silence's forthcoming Art Bell project, who have developed the film alongside 2.0 Entertainment since its inception. The film follows Kaczynski's (Tremblay) transformation from Harvard prodigy into the infamous Unabomber, who carried out a nationwide bombing campaign in the U.S. from 1978-95, killing three people and injuring 23. Subjected to controversial psychological experiments by Professor Henry Murray (Crowe), Kaczynski's troubled past resurfaces decades later when his manhunt, led by FBI agent Joanne Miller (Woodley), brings to light the chilling consequences of ambition and isolation. Sophie Cassidy will produce for 2.0 Entertainment, in association with MRC. Don Lee, Chalsen, and Greaves will exec produce. Recently wrapping Walden Media's Cold War thriller "Billion Dollar Spy" and the action thriller "Bear Country", directed by Derrick Borte, Gladiator Oscar winner Crowe will next be seen starring in Walden's "Nuremberg" along with Rami Malek and Michael Shannon. Known for turns in films including "Room, Wonder", "Good Boys" and "Doctor Sleep", Tremblay next will be seen starring in Neon's Stephen King adaptation "The Life of Chuck" from filmmaker Mike Flanagan, which opens Friday in select theaters. He'll also be seen starring opposite Nick Offerman in the crime drama "Sovereign". Most recently starring in such films as "Ferrari" and "Dumb Money", as well as Starz's "Three Women", Woodley's upcoming slate includes Potsy Ponciroli's "Motor City" and the second season of Hulu's "Paradise", among other projects. Wallis has starred on shows like "Star Trek: Discovery" and "Peaky Blinders", also appearing in films like "Silent Night", "Malignant", multiple entries in the Annabelle horror franchise spinning off The Conjuring, and more. Other upcoming projects include Amazon MGM's sci-fi thriller "Mercy" opposite Chris Pratt, and Lionsgate/Sky's action thriller "Mutiny" opposite Jason Statham. read more New Tourism Route To Launch in Old Cairo Ahmed El Sakka-Led Play 'Sayidati Al Jamila' to Be Staged in KSA on Dec. 6 Mandy Moore Joins Season 2 of "Dr. Death" Anthology Series Don't Miss These Movies at 44th Cairo Int'l Film Festival Today Amr Diab to Headline KSA's MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 Festival Arts & Culture Mai Omar Stuns in Latest Instagram Photos Arts & Culture "The Flash" to End with Season 9 Arts & Culture Ministry of Culture Organizes four day Children's Film Festival Arts & Culture Canadian PM wishes Muslims Eid-al-Adha News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Sports Neymar Announced for Brazil's Preliminary List for 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers News Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly Inaugurates Two Indian Companies Arts & Culture New Archaeological Discovery from 26th Dynasty Uncovered in Karnak Temple Business Fear & Greed Index Plummets to Lowest Level Ever Recorded amid Global Trade War Arts & Culture Zahi Hawass: Claims of Columns Beneath the Pyramid of Khafre Are Lies News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks News Shell Unveils Cost-Cutting, LNG Growth Plan Videos & Features Video: Trending Lifestyle TikToker Valeria Márquez Shot Dead during Live Stream

Blumhouse in Talks to Buy "Saw" Franchise from Twisted Pictures

Yara Sameh Blumhouse is in talks to acquire part of the long-running horror franchise 'Saw'. Blumhouse is in the midst of a deal to take over the ownership stake of Saw from Twisted Pictures, the banner run by Oren Koules and Mark Burg. Twisted co-owns the rights with Lionsgate, which has distributed the films since releasing the first film in 2004. If a deal is made, it would bring the franchise back into the hands of James Wan, the filmmaker who directed that movie and created the franchise with co-writer Leigh Whannell. Blumhouse, run by Jason Blum, merged with Wan's production banner, Atomic Monster, in early January 2024. The talks between Blumhouse and Twisted began last year but broke down earlier this year. A sale price was one of the big sticking points. Made for only $1.2 million, Saw became one of the most profitable horror movies of all time when it opened to $18.2 million domestically and earned $104 million worldwide. Home entertainment was equally massive (this was the DVD era, after all) and a franchise, that encompassed 10 movies as well as merchandising, video games, and more, followed. The last entry in the franchise, 'Saw X' was released in 2023 and earned $112.2 million worldwide. An 11th movie was in the works but stalled out. While it is unclear what the plans for any new stories would entail — more movies? a series? — but the deal is the latest in a growing number that have creatives or filmmakers own, partially or entirely, their creations. Koules and Burg reportedly financed most of Saw's budget after first seeing Wan and Whannel's short film. Wan, off the success of Saw, went on to create or co-create the Insidious horror franchise and The Conjuring horror universe.
