Connor Zilisch injury update: NASCAR driver falls after winning Xfinity Series race
While in Victory Lane following the Mission 200 at The Glen, the 19-year-old JR Motorsports driver placed his right foot on the roof of his No. 88 Chevrolet and his left foot on the window. He then appeared to lose his balance, with his left foot getting caught inside his car and twisting as he fell hard to the pavement.

It was later determined he broke his collarbone.

Trackhouse Opens up on Connor Zilisch's Chances of Racing Return After Scary Fall
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Trackhouse Racing owner Justin Marks has opened up about the timeline for Connor Zilisch's return to NASCAR after the injury he suffered while celebrating his Xfinity Series race win at Watkins Glen International. Zilisch tried to climb on top of his car to celebrate his victory, but he lost his balance and fell hard. The 19-year-old driver was rushed to the medical center, where he was diagnosed with a broken collarbone, which meant he would be absent from the Cup Series race for Trackhouse the following day. With the next weekend being an off-weekend for the Xfinity Series, it will offer Zilisch enough time to recover. However, it remains to be seen if he will be race-ready for the following race weekend. Speaking on the topic of when the young driver would return, Marks suggested that the matter isn't simple, as it warrants discussions with several parties while ensuring Zilisch receives the care and motivation to bounce back stronger. He said: "I think it's a discussion that we all have to have. We haven't really talked about much, obviously, since yesterday, but in the little bit that we've discussed in some of the quiet moments over the last 24 hours, it's going to have to be a group decision. More"It's going to have to be sponsors, Chevrolet, the team, taking care of his development, taking care of him as a human and as an athlete, and then keeping his motivations high and making sure he knows he's got a group of people behind him that are supportive of him." Zilisch gave a detailed account of the events that led to his fall. He said: "I was climbing out of the car, and obviously the window net was on the door and as soon as they started spraying water, my foot slipped and the last thing I remember was being halfway down and falling. So glad it wasn't any worse and that the collarbone the extent of the injuries, but I hate I couldn't make it to the race today and give myself a shot to get a good result for Trackhouse and Red Bull." Zilisch has been having a spectacular Xfinity season so far, securing five wins in the last eight races. He currently leads the points standings in his rookie year. However, with his racing return date still not confirmed, it remains to be seen if he will be ready to race in the Wawa 250 at Daytona International Speedway on August 22.

28 days until the Texans' 2025 season opener: Who has worn No. 28?
The Houston Texans are less than five weeks away from kicking off the 2025 season in Los Angeles against the Rams at SoFi Stadium and we're counting down the days until a victory ensues on the West Coast. Texans Wire will daily inform you which player has worn the number of the day leading up to kickoff and select the player who best represented the number during their time at NRG Stadium. As for today, let's take a look at who has worn No. 28 since the inaugural season in 2002. Texans players to wear No. 28 No. 28 currently belongs to veteran Pro Bowl running back Joe Mixon. While he's not out at practice right now, that doesn't mean that the former Cincinnati Bengals star was a flash in the pan or a one-hit wonder. Mixon, who inked a three-year extension after being traded to Houston last offseason, hit the ground running with a 159-yard outing in the Week 1 opener. He followed that up with four straight 100-yard performances from Week 6 until Week 10's loss against the New York Jets. Despite missing three games, Mixon became the first Texans running back since Carlos Hyde in 2019 to rush for 1,000 yards in a single season. He was named to the Pro Bowl roster and finished with a team-leading 12 touchdowns. In the postseason, Mixon averaged 4.6 yards a play and scored a pair of touchdowns. He's back, ready for Round 2, with the intent of becoming a fixture in Texans' history while helping the franchise reach its first-ever conference title appearance. Best Player: Alfred Blue Given his longevity as the Texans' No. 2 back behind Lamar Miller, Blue gets the nod -- for now -- over Mixon. A former sixth-round pick, the LSU star averaged at least 127 carries per season for over 528 yards and 3.6 yards per attempt. Should Mixon put up similar production next season, the Texans probably will have a new G.O.A.T. running the show with the No. 28.
