She always celebrates her big day with her friends and family but confessed that she doesn't pre-plan it.
She said, 'The plan is always to celebrate with friends and family. This year I haven't made any plans as such, so I will play it by ear. I don't stick to any preplanning as such unless I have planned a trip during that time, but this year I haven't because I thought I might be shooting'.
While there isn't any particular birthday ritual that she follows, she likes to work half a day if she is busy with a project on this day.
She said, 'It happened once when I was doing a show,

, when I worked till 12 and came back home to celebrate with my family. I like a
half-working birthday
. The ritual is that if I'm doing a particular project during that time, then I prefer shooting at least half a day and then coming back to celebrate with family.'
'This year I will go to my guruji's ashram and spend some time there. Well, no particular ritual that I follow as such,' she added.
Moon also confessed that her birthday is incomplete without her son Rumeer.

Dehradun: Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday directed officials to take steps toward digitising Uttarakhand's dialects, folk tales, folk songs, and literature. "An e-library should be established for this purpose, and a linguistic map of the state's dialects prepared. In addition to expanding collections of folk tales, audio-visual materials should also be created," he said while chairing the general assembly and management executive committee meeting of the Uttarakhand Bhasha Sansthan (Language Institute) at the Secretariat. A decision was also taken that the ancient 'Bakna' singing of the Pandavani tradition in the Jaunsar Bawar region will be documented for preservation.
